  • TheExile285

My body is ready for this game.

    • HellspawnRei

      So is mine…

    • Sardorim

My mind is prepared but my body is lacking….

  • Malon

I never played any of the Hyperdimension games, I hope this one will be localized since I always wanted to try them.

    • Leon_Tekashi

I’m glad people are getting interested in the series It’s pretty good and humorous. Just be sure not to get turned off by the fan service. It’s the humor and the characters that makes the games enjoyable, in my opinion of course.

      • Malon

Don’t worry, I’m used to niche games and I already know what to expect from the Hyperdimension games. :p

      • Arc†icNinja21

I’m gonna say I enjoy the fan service quite a bit. I like jumping in the game for the wrong reason… hehe :)

        • Kamakuma

Haha I see what you did there. :’3 You have nothing to be ashamed of. *Holds up broken halo* :’33

      • Renaldi Saputra

this game also might be the first neptune series I played.. Getting turned off by fan service? Is the joke a kind of typical anime-joke in this era of anime?

  • zazza345

The source is the official site, which also, by the way, added Vert’s profile.

  • ReidHershel

Can this game get localized and released already?

    • TheExile285

      In NISA, we trust.

      • AxionAzure

        That’s my line :D

    • Leon_Tekashi

It’s going to happen. Patience is a virtue.

    • womgbatcc

No thank you. We already have too many overly sexaulized Japanese games that have been localized. Please keep this in japan

      • School Idol Addict

Why do you care if you’re not interested in them ?
How do it affect you it they bring more games like this here ?
I hate FPS, so every compagny should stop making FPS game because I HATE FPS…
I don’t care if everyone like FPS, every compagny should all stop making FPS, because I HATE FPS -_-

        • Tyler Beale

I don’t hate Call of Duty, but I DO hate the effect it has on the industry. Therefore, I don’t play it.

But seriously, people need to stop playing Call of Duty for a while and play some of the good games we get from Japan.

          • School Idol Addict

I was just being sarcastic :P
I don’t really hate FPS, although i don’t really like them either, i did play Borderland 1 and 2 and loved them though.

          • DesmaX

I guess FPS giving money to weapon manufacturers could be a problem, but, what is the problem with the game itself?

I mean, just like you see “otaku-bait” games that appeal to japan, the “amurica saves the world” thing appeal to the west. And, Japan is still a smaller market than the rest of the world

          • Tyler Beale

The problem with the game itself? Well, with each new entry (except for Ghosts which actually interests me a bit)…
            1. It’s the same shit it’s been since MW2, but with new maps and a new campaign (IE same gameplay with little to no tweaks whatsoever)
            2. Breaks the previous game’s sales records, which used to be the “biggest entertainment launch in history”. No problem there, but 1m sales generally leads to (among other things)…
            3. Plenty of mindless 10 year old assholes, which scream, whine, and complain every time someone fucks up their camping spot (and let’s not forget the death threats that happened a few weeks ago!)
            4. Every other game (in the West) must suddenly “appeal to a broader audience” to bring in the CoD kids. Which usually turns those franchises into shit.

Japan does have a smaller market, yes (unless it’s Capcom or Square Enix), but I think some of the games made there are better than some of the non-FPS shit released here these days. I’ve discussed this in another Siliconera post (also regarding Hyperdimension Neptunia PS Vita), but I feel like some of those games (like Tales of Xillia, which just came out recently) deserve more attention, even if it’s been a number of years since it’s Japanese release.

However, there ARE Japanese games that appeal ONLY to the otakus. Hell, I’m playing Record of Agarest War 2 (using MasterLL’s guide of course) as I type this, listening to that save/load music. That’s not a game most Westerners would want to play (what with all the hot chicks and sexually suggestive CGs behind its dark story and all).

          • DesmaX

            - Honestly, I’d say the same thing about CH games. Hell, it’s something that happen to most franchises these days. It’s hard to come up with new mechanics

            - Nothing wrong with that. That’s the type of game that appeal to the masses.

            - Just mute them? I find some kids playing with headsets in every online game.

            - Now I’m not following you. There’s a difference between appealing to a broader audience, and alienating your fan-base. Dead Space 2, for example, put some more action scenes to make it more appealing to more people, but still retained the tension of the first one. That is a good thing. Dead Space 3, on the other hand, tried to alienate it’s fan-base, and it sold like shit.

Tales of Xillia have a positive score on Metacritic ( http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/tales-of-xillia ), so it’s getting good attention here. And, of course, it’s the publisher job to market the game, not the journalists (They’re get their money by reporting stuff, even if only with the AD’s on the website).

And isn’t that a problem? Neptunia games falls into the same category as Agarest, they only appeal to a niche. You can’t expect journalists to care for games their viewers woudn’t play

        • womgbatcc

It actually it effects me a lot. These games are very offensive towards woman. Video games need to grow up. If we ever want to take games serious we do not need these types of games in the market. These types of games shame the gaming community and make gamers look like a bunch of perverts.

          • Landale

Could you elaborate on your claims that they’re offensive toward women?
Could you elaborate on what types of games we do need in the market?
Could you elaborate on what does and does not shame the community, how they do that exactly, and how that makes us look?

          • TheExile285

Lol you have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

By your logic, we can’t take movies, TV-Shows, music, art and just about every other piece of media “seriously”.

Just get off your high horse and GTFO

          • PoweredByHentai

            4. Keep an open mind: Siliconera covers a very wide variety of games from all over the world for a wide range of platforms. Don’t like a particular kind of game or a particular genre or a certain game system? That’s great, but remember, the rest of the world doesn’t necessarily care to know about it. Let people enjoy the things they enjoy, and don’t ruin their fun with negativity.

          • Zero_Destiny

Thank you PbH, but please leave our job to us.

          • Landale

Quick question; Considering I’ve done exactly as PbH just did countless times before with new people showing up and acting like womgbatcc is, and have never once been told that it was a moderator’s job to let new people know rules, is this a new rule that that’s specifically a mod’s job or what’s going on here?

          • Zero_Destiny

Talking is all right, and if you guys wanna have your side told please do. PbH just kinda posted the rule and nothing else. Which is why I suppose I said that.

Please feel free to contribute to the topic so long as you follow the rules, in fact seeing the community answer to these situations and have civil discussions is something we are proud of.

As for PbH, no harm, no foul. ^^; Just leave the enforcing part to us mods, if you wanna say something when these situations appear though, please do. Don’t feel like your hands are tied or anything.

          • PoweredByHentai

See, I could have joined in on elaborating why womgbatcc is a retard and a troll, especially after looking at their COMMENT HISTORY, instead I opted to just post the site rules.

For the record, I do believe womgbatcc is a troll account. There are only 5 comments on it and the first comment was on Dead or Alive 5 being more legit than Persona Arena or Tekken.

I highly recommend that you use that banhammer.

          • Landale

That’s what I’m saying. I’ve done exactly that. First post here, or pretty close to that, I figure pointing out the rule is needed and typically do. Not so much trying to enforce, but inform.

People that act like him, but frequently and have already been here awhile, typically I just flag them so you guys can do the enforcing while trying to move things toward something that may at least resemble a conversation.

          • PoweredByHentai

womgbatcc is a troll account. Take a good look at the first comment on that account.

haha take that persona 4 and tekken. dead or alive is the only legit fighter that came out this year

Supportive of Dead or Alive but absolutely hating Neptunia. Double standards, right there.

          • Landale

I figured as much. That’s why I didn’t bother going the “Oh hey, you’re new here. Here’s the rules” route. I just went straight for picking apart the post, just on the off chance I could get something resembling a discussion out of them. Rarely happens, but I try anyway.

          • PoweredByHentai

This is of interest to you:

          • M’iau M’iaut

We have access to all that information and more about the account. I appreciate the devotion to the community. The poster is certainly on our special list.

          • Zero_Destiny

Proper representation in media is an important and widely debated topic, while I do appreciate your concern please understand that these gamers who you are saying “look like a bunch of perverts” also have a say in the topic.

Having your own opinions and views on this is great but I would suggest to remember that you may not like a game, say like this one, but others might. Making your claims are fine but please remember to respect the others here, and to try not to go to far off topic for your agenda.

            Thanks.

      • Landale

I love it when people say stuff like this. Proves they never bothered to actually take a look at the games. Or that they have a very low threshold for what’s considered “overly sexualized”

        • https://twitter.com/RaiohV Raioh

“Over sexualized” is a term as overused as “epic”, it lost its meaning and nobody has a fucking clue what its actual meaning was long ago.

        • PoweredByHentai

They never do and they never will.

        • Arcana Wiz

or that they are simple trolls that love to cause a ruckus.

      • TheExile285

        Are you freaking kidding?

How exactly is this game going to disturb you to the point that you feel the need to ***** about it? Ignore it and move on

      • AxionAzure

No need to be a hampton wick because you don’t like Japanese games, seriously!

      • WingsOfEternity

and its okay for 10 year old Americans to buy GTA and kill prostitutes after fucking them in a car.

        • Renaldi Saputra

maybe actually GTA didn’t have such explicit contents visually (I mean the sexualized things, like showing rape, etc dirctly).. maybe for the words they used, it’s quite explicit indeed..

      • leingod

I’m totally OK with oversexualization personally, but I think this game in particular is pretty tame.

      • Renaldi Saputra

over-sexualized? maybe you need to fix that word and prove it..
I know this is kind of otaku games.. they have the present-style jokes like another anime had, and so on..

anw NISA localized 3 previous series, so your argument is invalid.. also this is for PS Vita, it will be different if this game is only for PSP

      • Ferrick

so japanese games that only shows lingeries is a big no no, but western games that allows sex scenes is a big green yes ?

please don’t keep up this stupidity

    • Learii

      NISA localized their games

  • http://s932.photobucket.com/ usagi_san

This game is looking good. Hope to hear an announcement for a localisation, soon.

Also, I want to hear more about that Noire title, too.

    • Tyler Beale

      As do I, usagi-san. As do I.

  • tubers

    Oct. 31?

Kinda weird that there has yet to be a gameplay trailer or even “leaked” running footage.

Makes me think of performance issues unless the developers and publishers of the game are known to do such (a hair near launch before releasing a gameplay trailer) regularly.

    • Landale

They don’t typically do too many gameplay videos. Most of their games are probably better described as visual novels, with some RPG filler, rather than simply RPGs. So for the most part they release a bunch of images of character interaction and character profiles, since that’s the main draw of the game, only really pumping out images and videos of the combat toward the end or, in some cases, earlier than that to highlight some changes from their previously used system.

  • xAtKx

I really need to finish MK2 and open up Victory already.

  • Neppygear

While I cherish any new nao stuff that comes along, I don’t think they’ll ever top the first game’s opening.

  • Testsubject909

So. I came to check the article mainly because I heard there was a troll in here.

I now see the troll and wonder why the troll is being fed.

  • Kami nii

When I played this game first time I loved it!! I didn’t care about the crappy reviews because to know if a game is crappy you must play it first!! I started from V to 1st hyperdimension game heck I even have HDN Idol PP xD its the only game series in my game collection that I have a copy of all, so I’m definitely getting this even in japanese!! :)

  • Learii

    is a remake?

    • DyLaN

      >Compile Heart also shared new screenshots of Leanbox from the PlayStation Vita remake.

  • artemisthemp

So when will NISA announce that they localize this title?

    • katzedan

I’m still waiting for the day I enter Siliconera and see the news that NISA is bringing this game and Fairy Fencer F to this side of the world.

Hope we can see this soon!

  • Aristides

This is cool, but what happened to Idol PP localization? I hope all Vita Neptunia games get western release >_<
