Aww I thought we were getting recca on WiiU…

    • biskmater

What made you even remotely think that?

      • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

The NA direct where they announced it

  • hmmm tempted to get it, have 11$ in my wii u account was for sonic racing DLC but nothing ever seemed to have come from that

  • デ オオカミ

C’mon Nintendo, persuade Capcom to bring these to the 3DS eshop as well, won’t ya~? 。◕‿◕。

    • Now that I would be excited for. Don’t get the thrill of having it on Wii U since it was already on Wii…

  • Zero_Destiny

Yes! They ninja-added Breath of Fire II in the US as well! I was hoping we’d get it today just like it was announced last week that Europe would. :)

I’m still baffled by how slowly Nintendo pushes out VC releases.

    • Atmey

That why everyone should use standard game engines, same code output to all consoles and formats, VC ports would be one click away.

      • anarchy_panty

Like I said above, if Nintendo isn’t being ass-backwards and developing crazy, stupid, high level emulators for every VC release, it should already be a couple clicks away for their first party titles.

    • Shane Guidaboni

I’m still baffled that all VC releases aren’t released on both Wii-U and 3DS.

      • anarchy_panty

I can understand that a little more, at least. I’m pretty sure (read: I’m totally about to make a ton of assumptions and there’s no source to back any of this up) they just have an incredibly optimized emulator for each console, and VC releases are just them selling you that emulator with a wrapper that automatically boots whatever game it was sold with. Obviously, said emulator is specific to the hardware it was developed and optimized for.

With that being said, I’m still totally with you because why the hell haven’t they developed an SNES emulator for the 3DS. The thing’s more than capable of handling it, and if VC releases really are as easy as they logically should be, they’re just passing up on (nearly) free money.

Huh. For that price I might check out Epic Mickey: Castle of Illusion… or maybe I’ll save the money for the actual Castle of Illusion remake..
