    Cool. Been waiting for this.

  • chibiwall

Great… A nice 2014 is coming for me

  • cloudcaelum

Still playing Disgaea 3, i can wait. :P

  • アティ

@_@ Can’t wait! 2014 hours would be dedicated for Disgaea 4!

    • Arcana Wiz

as a completionist i can say that more than 500 hours of my life will be bound to be used in the moment that they announce localization.

  • zferolie

I’m looking forward to what new things they ad

  • Virevolte

Prinnies, bless my ps Vita for letting me discover that amazing serie even though I don’t have a Ps3. Dood.

    • RichyGaming

      Amen, dood.

  • HassanJamal

Yay! But also boo cause its gonna take a while for this vita version to be localized :C Will finally get to play this.

  • Shady Shariest

I bought ps3 because of this… Now i will buy a Vita because of this :3

    • TheExile285

      don’t forget D3!

      • Shady Shariest

I never got around playing it… For some reason -_O’
Even though Raspberyl is one of my fave’s of Disgaea :/

Well then, when i get the Cheapita i have a game to play on it till this releases!
(Also, cat girls, no neko can go wrong!)
Edit: Also paranoid about whether D2 gets a “Complete” vita version :/

        • Testsubject909

The PS4 version will have one huge advantage the Vita version will most likely not.

          The shop dupe glitch.

There’s an incredibly easy duplication glitch you can do using a maxed out inventory and the ability to repurchase items at the shop. This makes farming innocents and high powered equipment MUCH faster.

And considering there’s much more to farm for in Disgaea 4, this I don’t consider something that takes away from the game. I take it as something that’s a boon to the game, as someone who was experiencing a loss of free time to play games, this enabled me to enjoy the game up to a higher end and continue the grind such as character world rather then item worlds.

Honestly it’s just an acceleration of the normal duplication glitch which does in fact involve the character world…

And honestly. Even using the duplication glitch is a grind in itself. It’s easy yes, but you can EASILY spend an entire week duplicating and STILL not have the strongest gears in the game. That still requires reaching 300 levels via item world and doing so for a variety of gear you’d want maxed out prior to duplicating them.

          • Shady Shariest

A typo there at the start? Also, i know about the glitch, and have played the PS3-version completely without it :3

Kinda big text to write about a dupe, as a btw :3

          • Testsubject909

I’m known for writing walls of texts at the drop of a hat.

I write what I think pretty damn directly, so if I think of a lot of stuff, it ends up being pretty big.

          • Shady Shariest

Same here, i just go for rants and running gags… So if people aren’t interested, they can skip the 2-6 other messages following >:3 (I try to think what i write afterwards… Being able to edit is so niece!)
            Edit:See?

          • Testsubject909

Being able to edit is so niece?

            You might wanna edit that.

          • Shady Shariest

Oh, i always edit to ADD stuff! >;3

          • Testsubject909

            How niece.

          • Shady Shariest

            Is nize *Nods* *Borat*

  • Devinja

D3 is not Vita TV compatible, I hope this has the foresight to be.

    • GameWinner

I don’t know why it’s not compatible. You can disable the rear touchpad and the touch controls are optional. :/

      • TheExile285

There are trophies tied to the rear touch and front touch but purely gameplay-wise they are optional like you said.

I think some Vita games may get a patch for Vita TV support.

        • GameWinner

Oh yeah, I forgot about those. Maybe we’ll see D3 when the DS4 is patched on so we can use those features. Maybe.

          • Testsubject909

Notice that this is basically the Trophy/Achievement system possibly being the lead cause to an incompatibility.

            Just saying.

As someone who doesn’t care about Trophies/Achievements and cares more about the old age version of trophies/achievements being the equivalent of “I beat Battletoads and I didn’t need some silly text telling me I should be proud about that” or something of the sort.

            Obviously I’m a bit biased.

PS. I haven’t beaten Battletoads. But I do enjoy playing co-op on it.

        • Yuan

Senran Kagura SV also has touch, gyro and microphone-related trophy, but they list the title as VITA TV compatible.

So, it depends on the publisher/developer, I think.

  • http://www.thejaystack.com/ Jon Stachewicz

And this is why I don’t buy console Disgaea games. ESPECIALLY now that I’ll be able to play it on my TV with VTV anyway. I’m pretty excited

    • http://linkapics.tumblr.com/ Linka

… at least, hopefully, they’ll let this game be compatible.

    • SlickRoach

I knew this would be ported but dat D4 premium edition had to be obtained.

  • Erikdayo

Can’t wait! Bring on the eventual English release. :)

  • doubleO7

No surprises here. Glad I had the foresight to hold off on the console version.

  • Yuan

They will also show the footage at the homepage tomorrow, according to Dengeki PS.

  • Reiswindy

I swear, after this comes to the west, I will consider buying a PS Vita TV….

  • Arcana Wiz

    Cant wait for it ^.^

  • GameWinner

Yay! Finally, new info on the port!

  • TheExile285

Looking forward to this. Was a little disappointed with fuzziness of D3 AoD’s sprites but I hear D4 has HD sprites so I can’t wait to see how it will look on my PSV1000.

    • Testsubject909

      D4 had nice crisp sprites.

      • TheExile285

I know, I’ve seen some YouTube vids. They look very nice.

    • Testsubject909

Basically playing D3 and D4, the difference in the clarity of details on the characters are like night and day.

  • Aristides

Nisa localizations usually aren’t too far behind their Japanese release dates for Digaea titles at least, this is awesome it might even get to be a launch title for PS Vita TV in NA. :P

    • TheExile285

We may have to wait till NISA is done with Demon Gaze and Dagan Ronpa HD 1 before we get this.

      • Aristides

Very true very true, I just hope they continue to rack up Vita development as those titles get released :P

        • TheExile285

Agreed. I want that Neptunia remake.

    • GameWinner

Yeah, right now NISA is tied up in a bunch of other projects like Demon Gaze, Dangan Ronpa, The Witch and the Hundred Knights, and maybe Guided Fate Paradox.

  • Presea

Yes I love Disgaea 4 (Vavatorez is the best), if NISA sends it over I will totally get it. I can’t wait for the trailer, I wonder what kind of new things they will add?

    • Testsubject909

      SARDINES!

    • Testsubject909

Ooooh… I thought of the best Pre-order bonus.

      A can of sardines. I’d pre-order…

      • Presea

If it comes with a can of Sardines, I’d totally pre-order too. :D With a Disgaea 4 logo on the can, it’d be the ultimate can of sardines!

        • Testsubject909

But then comes the dilemma… Do you open that ultimate can of sardines, knowing that the content is filled with the greatest element known to man filled with omega-3 and essential vitamins and proteins.

Or do you keep it sealed forever, wasting it’s potential though possibly holding it back for a time when you’ll need it….

The gain of power from the consumption of the ultimate can of sardines’ contents… The temptation…

          • Shady Shariest

All though, you never know when a world is at stakes, and you only have the power to save it…
And bring order with the power of SARDINES!

          • Testsubject909

But you’d need to cultivate that sardine power with a healthy diet that contains sardines…

Maybe I should eat more sardines daily to ready my body for the sudden intake of the ultimate sardines.

          • Shady Shariest

Sardines in everything,,, Bathe a sardine in the water you drink, just to be safe… Those fish aided the capture of the Netherworld!

…And you know that a human body can only withstand so much powah…

          • Presea

That really is quite the dilemma… do you eat the almighty and powerful sardines and become the ultimate sardine master, do you keep its power sealed until humanity is threaten in which you unleash that power then, or do you never open it no matter what because it is the ultimate collector’s can of premium Disgaea 4 sardines and it should be preserved for centuries even though the sardines inside might not last that long? Choices, choices…

          • Shady Shariest

2113 someone just passes by this said can and restarts the Disgaea-Boom >:3 Series will live eternally!

    • Shady Shariest

There was something about the new features… I’m trying to stretch my memory about whereabouts i read about it… But Item Sea coming with couple more updated features were announced…

      • Presea

Item Sea sounds really interesting, I do like the sound of it! It sounds like it’d be like some kind of extension to the Item World, which would be awesome.

        • Shady Shariest

Yup. Bugger that i can’t remember anything else than that some of the planned things were a “Oh, and BTW…” thingie :/
I would honestly love to sea the sea too :)… Also, having the DLC’s is an insta-buy for a Nordic games like meh :3
Edit: Can’t find anything about it.. .Might be that i connected “New Features” instantly with item sea…

          • Presea

I see, I guess most of the stuff are still in development in the end so we might not here about it until later. :< Item sea sounds like a great feature to add, I hope they add many other cool things like it. :D

          • Shady Shariest

It is honestly the easiest thing they could add… I mean, a FUN version of ITEM WORLD?!!

I’m honestly afraid i may not be able to play the older ones after experiencing that :3

          • Presea

I know right? The item sea is going to be something really exciting and addicting, it’s gonna be a really fun addition! :D

          • Shady Shariest

Yup… Also i will be able to justify bad pirate impressions in a post-ACIV-ish world >:3

  • Pockystix

2013 and 2014 are pretty good years to be an RPG lover~

  • Chris Pap

Hi everyone, is it necessary to upgrade your items via Item World or can you finish the game with the ‘vanilla’ versions? I tried playing Disgaea 2 on my PSP but I was a bit overwhelmed and quit. Thinking I could get back to it if grinding is not mandatory…

  • AxionAzure

Disgaea is a must have on portables. NISA will probably release this one around here as they did with all the other Disgaea titles anyway, so I’ll just wait patiently for the western release.

  • LM009

now we just need NISA to localize

  • http://jesse-dylan.livejournal.com Jesse_Dylan

Wonder when we can expect it in the US? Usually a pretty quick localization when it comes to NIS.

  • 3PointDecoupage

Can’t wait to have the entire series on one system.

  • SuBw00FeR

    ALL MY YES! <3 NIS!

  • Croix Zapp

    Jan 30………that’s a long wait :(

  • artemisthemp

So this most likely means a May release. (Base of Disgaea 3 JP release –> Western)
