God damn it, this Vita port keeps popping up. Someone just announce it already, my heart cant take no more teasing.

    • TheExile285

      Lol I agree

    • Lester Paredes

Yes. I wish they’d stop all this pussy-footing when it comes to announcing Vita games. That way I can put my money down for this and R&C Nexus.

  • Keine

ahhh shiii…. keep them ports coming~~~

  • DAT Bird From DAT Cage

More ports. More ports. More ports. More ports. Hope this game sells in the numbers it deserves to be sold.

Can’t wait till 2014 where the original Vita titles come flooding.

  • hazelnut1112

I been hearing that a PC version is going to come out as well when the Vita is version is out via a “Complete Collection” like MK9.

  • Lester Rat

Ports, ports, ports. If the multiplat Vita games were at least lauched together with the PS360 versions, it would be healthy for the handheld. This way, I don’t think so.

    • Carlos Luis Ayala

There are some like J Stars and Rayman your logic doesn’t make sense since it’s probably harder to make that version work.

      • Lester Rat

There are some, however big titles more often than not are later ported to Vita. It is the same as all those ports on Wii U that helped nothing because almost everybody interested in those titles had already played the games being ported to Wii U at least one year before.

        • JuhRo

Difference being this is a handheld portable machine. I’d much rather play any of these games on a bus, away from home, on break at work.. or comfortably on my bed before I sleep. I’ll take ports if they’re ultimately good games… since on the GBA, when they tried to “port” a game.. it’d be a blocky piece of junk that failed to entertain. This is the future, where you can take a game you’re playing at home.. and take it on the road.
I’ll take the dedicated Vita games.. but never will I complain about such great ports/enhanced remakes such as P4G, MGS HD, FFX/X-2 HD, and even the likes of Amazing Spiderman, Ratchet and Clank Into the Nexus, PSABR, and Injustic.

          • Lester Rat

You mixed late ports with remakes and multiplat games. No one is arguing against remakes or multiplat games that include Vita, but those very late ports.

If Sony is trying to increase the interest on Vita by building a better library, it won’t help making straight ports of old games. Nobody will buy a Vita because of a few late ports.

As for current Vita owners, only a small part of the audience will get the late port. I play games mostly on handhelds and mostly on Vita, but I am not interested in late ports of games I have already bought and played a year ago on other consoles because I had no idea that it would come to Vita afterwards. And I believe lots of Vita owners do the same.

          • JuhRo

I suppose I did. But many complain about those as well.. saying “Why do they keep releasing games on Vita that I can play on my PS3?”
The response Sony was looking for was “I can actually play games that I play on the PS3, now on the go on my Vita? Wow.”

Yeah, I suppose. It really depends on the game. If CoD 4 gets remade on the Vita with the same mechanics.. people would go hog-wild over the thing.

      • Lester Paredes

Not really. His point is that if a game released on one console is released for another console 1 year later, the desire for that title is greatly diminished. Look at Bioshock, for example. It released on XB360 first, and everyone was excited about it, talked about it, spoilered it on the internet and everything. A year later, it made it’s way to PS3, and it seemed as if no one cared. Just the people who owned PS3’s. That same thing relates to the Vita’s situation. Games like PASBR and Sly Cooper Thieves in Time are released concurrently, but if they were staggered, like Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, everyone except for anxious Vita owners have already moved on to the next big thing.

    • Lester Paredes

A double edged sword, this is.

On one hand: Not every developer can support development for every system concurrently, it would fragment the team too much. Plus, they probably have some Vita specific issues to work out, as well as what sort of content to add, if any. It’s like the MK9 port. A whole new challenge tower was added (150 more levels) centering on the Vita’s touch and gyroscope capabilities.

On the other hand: I totally agree. Late ports are a bad thing. While I do enjoy the mobile aspect of it all, I’d be more excited to play the game when everyone else got it. Not a year afterwards, when all the spoilers are out and everyone’s moved on to the next big thing.

  • Carlos Luis Ayala

Amazon France leaked it months ago awesome can’t wait all I want is Static Shock now.

  • Guest

To all those who keep complaining about why the Vita has ports, this if made for those who have only a Vita. To those who don’t have the luxury to buy a PS3 to get the original game.

If you don’t want it, don’t buy it.

    • sherimae1324

      your definitely right there ^_^
im not a console gamer and i only have a vita
thanks to this ports of console games
that i will have the chance to play them when they get release ^_^

    • TheExile285

Actually its because its a fighting game. Fighting games get ports.

I have both a PS3 & Vita but I’d prefer a portable version that I can play whenever I want.

Its like people expected something silly like Vita to get Injustice 2 exclusive. :/

      • JuhRo

People want to go back in the past and get crappy GBA side-games of franchises, I suppose.

        • TheExile285

          Pretty much

It would be one thing if it was announced and we found out they it didn’t have any new content (unlikely considering MK Vita) but it hasn’t even been officially announced so we dont know what the new content is and people are whinying and crying :/

    • Lester Rat

People complain because being a game released in April 2013, the Vita version should have been released together with other versions. There are many Vita and PS3 owners that would rather get it to Vita, but settled with the PS3 game because they had no idea that a late Vita port would come.

And I am certain that at least 80% of the Vita owners don’t need to have the “luxury” to buy a PS3 because they have bought a PS3 much before their Vitas.

the portable version of a fighting game tend to come after the console release because of game revision and balance patch.

  • TrueDefault

I’d buy it again if it comes with exclusive characters.

  • Chris Pap

The Vita is a PORTable machine, geddit?

  • charles addow

    i called it!

  • leingod

I just hope graphics are a step up over MK. Loved MK Vita’s extras and stuff, but man… some of those character models… ugh.

    • Juan Andrés Valencia

That’s my main worry, I mean, the console version aren’t that good looking but the Vita version looks horrendous. If DOA5 and Street Fighter X Tekken can run at a slightly lower resolution than native at 60 FPS while looking extremely close to the console version I don’t see why it shouldn’t be easy to pull off Injustice at 60fps without it looking worse than Girl Fight or Samurai Shodown Sen.

      • leingod

Well considering Injustice doesn’t have a tag mode or X-ray models, Im hoping the characters will do better this time around.

  • TheExile285

If I wasn’t scared of Netherelm giving her an awful design, I’d want Kat as an exclusive character for the Vita version….

    • JoJo_649

Kat? In my opinion she would fit more if Jojo’s All Star Battle came to the vita, Cole should fit better with the DC cast, his comics were done by DC and he was added to DC universe online.

      • TheExile285

        Jojo? Really?

I’d be cool with Cole though.

        • JoJo_649

Well, Jojo it’s very stylish and it’s color palette is truly wide and crazy, a bit similar to the art style of Gravity Rush, while Injustice is more greys and browns, Kat would look incredibly weird in that style, and just saying we’re talking about “What if” scenarios after all.

          • TheExile285

            Fair enough

  • Kitsune

Don’t! Stop while you still can, nothing good can come from this!

  • Valtiel Ikari

    I’m a happy valtiel now!

  • Sergio Briceño

    Hurray! More Vita fighting games!

    • leingod

Not sure if you’re being sarcastic or not, but at least personally… I think more fighting games is awesome.

      • Sergio Briceño

I’m being serious. Fighting games are awesome in a portable format.

        • leingod

Agreed 100% … on the Vita though, the 3DS’ pad is pretty meh.

  • tubers

    VITA getting Injustice.

  • Albert Calderon

    Awww yiiis

  • ZekeFreek

Hey, this time don’t cut the character models down so much. I think it’s pretty obvious at this point the Vita can handle rendering two characters models against a backdrop much better than that.

  • SHSL Big Bro

ALRIGHT! Now, give me the JJBA All-Star Battle port in English, and we’re good.

  • Ben Sylvia

    Yes, YES!!

Now all the game needs is Orange Lantern Lex Luthor.

  • Erwin MadJelly

Hmm I find it a little too late, but it’s about time it comes to VITA, seems like after Gamescom Sony did listen to the fans after all.

  • Hopefully they’ll try a little harder with the visuals than with MK for Vita
