Atlus have shared new screenshots of Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold, their upcoming update to Persona 4 Arena, which is scheduled to hit Japanese arcades this winter. • Warboss Aohd

      Junpei iz honorary ork.

He iz favorite character among orkz, wit’ Koromaru close behind.

  • GoopLord

Why haven’t they shown off Hitler yet? He’s gonna be in this one right guys?

  • Demeanor

I see Yukari is as NICE as ever… her winning quote against Iori: “Hah… as always, you’re just Junpei, huh? Isn’t it about time to graduate from just being Junpei?”
Wow, I expect green acid to ooze from her wounds when she’s hurt in battle.

  • Blackburn7

Yukari and Junpei are fine but I’d still prefer Shinjiro and Koromaru over them any day :/

    • Lolzandstuff

Koromaru lol? He would had one hell of a advantage since he is on 4 legs no one could hit him with horizantal strike o.O

Shinjiro kick ass tho. And funny how no one talked about Ken. We all love ken right? Right?… xD

      • MrJechgo

If Amaterasu could be added in a game such as UMvC3, I don’t see how Koromaru wouldn’t fit in P4A2…

        • Lolzandstuff

Remember Yoda in Soul Calibur? He was so small that he was immune to most of the hits lol.

Well I guess its all up to the dev team to find a way to balance this. It wouldn’t be a bad idea and I admit that having the full cast of P3 would be pretty nice.

          • MrJechgo

Yoda was indeed a poor example… but I’m pretty sure that Namco learned its lesson. Amaterasu in UMvC3 was half the size of Ryu, but at least 2 times “wider” then the rest of the characters. Rocket Raccoon, on the other hand, was very small, but only certain light attacks could miss him (not all of them) and he was quite fragile. Koromaru could be half the size of Yu’s sprite but as large as Kanji’s sprite. They could make him stand up like Amaterasu so weak attacks would hit him in the face.

      • Sardorim

        Koromaru can be made larger.

Sudden Super Growth Spurt of DOOOOOOM~!

      • DongT

        …i like ken…

      • Steven Higgins

The ShadoW Organization (or whatever the new incarnation of SEES is called) is made up of adults, Wouldn’t Ken only be made in High School now.
And have you seen Mitsuru’s coat?

    • Aisha Lee

We’ll probably get Koromaru down the road along with Ken. Shinjiro though… Don’t known how thats gonna with the story and all.

  • Arizato

    Damn you, Neo-Featherman!

  • Scipio

    Who’s da man?

  • leingod

Man, I love Yukari… even if she’s wearing too much clothes now. Hope they put this on the Vita!

  • DragKudo

Will this take place outside or in the tv world? I see white noise on the tartarus level.

  • Dagobert

I was planning to get Persona 4 Arena but seeing this I wonder if I should wait, hopefully it’ll get localized. Then again Sega owns Atlus now…

    • Detrimont

it’ll have a different story, so get both

      • Dagobert

Well isn’t it the same thing just an updated version with a few more characters? Kind of like Street Fighter and DOA?

        • Detrimont

nope, they’ve already stated it’s based 2 days after the first one, meaning it’ll have a new story, so yeah…

          • s07195

Honestly, the Golden Week break has been one giant mess.

        • Xerain

P4 arena should not be viewed as a fighting game, but rather a combo pack where you get a Visual Novel that servers as a sequel to both P3 and P4, as well as a fighting game. It really is like two games in one, and either of those is worth the price of admission.

Therefore even if the fighting where just slightly updated with no characters, which it’s not as they’re really taking the time to re tune everything, it doesn’t change the fact that this game’s visual novel is a sequel to the previous game’s visual novel….

  • Namuro

    Man…I can’t seem to look away from Shadow Chie’s face…It’s so hypnotizing…

  • Luis Ibal

    Yukari <3

  • mushkaste, this dualblade dude is from P5. I hope not.

  • Jake_Indiman

Those screens! This game cannot come soon enough!

  • darkbartz

In a lore way, it looks really weird that the Shadows can summon Personas, being one and the same and all that. An incredibly awesome but outright impossible move would be when the Shadow uses the Persona attacks, their boss form appears in place of the Personas. So Shadow Chie summons Dominatrix Banana Head and Shadow Yukiko summons “IT’S SYMBOLIC”.

    • Steven Higgins

These Shadows are fake, just like the ones in the first Arena.
Since their not true Shadows, lore doesn’t need to apply.

  • Danial Mirza

I just hope this gets an actual console release. Its a shame if it’s only relegated to just an arcade release.
