Soul Sacrifice is getting one more downloadable monster in Japan. Gouenma, one of the enemies from Toukiden: Age of Demons, will show up in Soul Sacrifice. This crossover battle will be free DLC and available in Japan on October 24.

Sony Computer Entertainment will re-release Soul Sacrifice as a Greatest Hits game on October 10. Along with a lower price version, Adhoc Party will be updated with a lobby featuring artwork from Soul Sacrifice.

“re-release Soul Sacrifice as a Greatest Hits game on October 10” more low level players!

    • Sardorim

      New blood is always good.

And there will be plenty of said blood…

    • Pedro Furtado

I think I’m getting up on that wagon on October 10

      • neocatzon

Can’t wait to sacrifice played with you.

        • Pedro Furtado

I’ll be playing the Japanese version though, not sure if cross-region rolls or if you are too ;)

          • neocatzon

I’m playing in EU/Asia server, so we won’t meet. Well, the Jpn version is the most enticing~

  • Ryujin

    Crossovers, crossovers everywhere.

Looks like hunting games on the Vita are kind of banding together to promote each other. If I’m not mistaken PSO2 did a crossover with Soul Sacrifice in Japan too.

  • d19xx

That’s awesome. That reminds me, haven’t they announced a release date for Toukiden in the US?

    • artemisthemp

Not a date, only that 2014 will be western release year

  • Notquitesure?

Camaraderie is always good amongst different series

  • safeto20scroll

Oh wow, this time they’re bringing over monsters from different series into an other game? Now that’s a pretty cool cross-over!

  • TheExile285

Interesting. I’d like to fight some Aragami in SS too.

EDIT: Cerberus from SS is in Toukiden? Hell Yes! A cross over like this MUST happen with GE2!

  • Chido55

    Holy shit.
The DLCs aint stopping yet!? And its just a few more months to go for Delta.

Seems like I landed on a heck of a game, and I am loving it.

    > Regenerates limbs
    > has a homing attack while regenerating a severed limb (regenerates once)
    > Rage mode (instant regeneration all limbs and tail)
    > powerhouse of mobility and strength

IMO, Gouenma could be really really annoying for Chaos-build Players. It usually takes 15-25 minutes just to kill a Gouenma in Toukiden (with a party of 4 — be it with 3 human or AI companions). But given this is SS, it could probably take less to beat it on solo (since playing solo makes bosses easier in SS)

Cerberus would probably be much harder in Toukiden — mostly because it’ll be hard to sever limbs and parts of a highly agile target. But given Toukiden is a more party-friendly game (since monsters basically have the same stats whether you have a party or not — but having a party with a healer and allies to do some damage), it shouldn’t be hard to beat as well.
I still remember that (forced) solo one-on-one fight with Tokoyo no Ou in Toukiden that could usually last 50-60 minutes — would only last 20-25 minutes if you have a party of 4.

    I am hoping this will be available outside Japan ;A;
Several R3 Japanese version games STILL doesn’t even have the collab DLCs (namely Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, Toukiden, and SS).

  • wat_wat

This is awesome. Best “hunting game” crossover yet. hope we get this outside of Japan. Would be a great precursor to Toukiden coming over early 2014 (for EU.)

  • ShadowDivz

The article doesn’t mention cerberus will be in toukiden…
It’s right there at the end.

  • zferolie

Are we getting Toukiden? I love these monster hunter games

  • Vash bane

know whats interesting? those to were bruisers in there own games(demo wise) lol

  • isotrex

    Hell yeah!!!

From what I see so far, games that has SS crossovers show that they are using SS’s fame to help increase sales.

But that doesn’t mean it’s bad, isn’t it? This shows how Inafune’s SS became one of the reasons for the VITA’s revival. I’m just sayin’.
