It Looks Like You’ll Collect Gaist Crusher Upgrades Mega Man-Style… From Bosses

This video, while mostly another fight montage in the everlasting battle between Man and Gaist-Machine, does let us know one thing—how we’ll be getting more Gaist Gears in Gaist Crusher.

 

This was covered briefly beforehand, but seeing as how we just beat King Kittan Lunatic Sandman  into the ground last week and are wearing his metals like a second skin (Someone call PETA!) it does seem likely you’ll acquire new Gears from defeating Gaist bosses.

 

Anyone want to hum the Mega Man tune right now? Guys? No? Okay, then… I’ll just keep that comparison to myself…

 

Gaist Crusher will be out to crush all Gaimetal’s on the Nintendo 3DS, December 5th.

    Needless to say, I don’t like this.. They should just give the people what they want and release a new Battle network game and Zero game…

      Needless to say? I like both of those (and Battle Network is finished – even if I would like a compilation or digital rerelease with online), but am really open to this game.

      It can’t just be because I’ve played the demo and had a blast.
      There is plenty of room for the Megaman series and Gaist Crusher.

      Do you have a reason or something? >_>

        I don’t know how it’s not possible to create a battle network game which revolves around a diffrent character. It doesn’t necessarily have to be Lan and Mega. It just needs to be set in there universe..

        Same would go for the Zero games. They could easily make stories that runs parallel to the original protagonist… Other games have sucessfully did it.

          Yes, it is quite possible to have a spinoff set in another region for Battle Network or create another story with another protagonist for the Megaman Zero universe.

          Still, that doesn’t really answer why you have a grudge against this unless it is simply the fact that Gaist Crusher comes from the same company and you only want to see more of what you want. >_>

      You cant make a new BN and Zero without serious retconning, which goes against the point of the endings (especially Zero’s.)

      Also; there’s Star Force and ZX.

    This was available in the demo. Two of the bosses, excluding the black dragon, drop Gaist Gears if you defeat their levels without losing a life. The Extreme Mode form is them.

    Holy awful camera! I haven’t seen something that bad since Kingdom Hearts 1!

      I’ve played the demo of this but not Kingdom Hearts (Dream Drop Distance demo aside), I’ll agree the camera is pretty weak for this game (no means to turn the camera, locking on, zooming out (which you will do) or zooming in are your only options), but manageable when you focus on the sounds of the attacks and use the two styles adequately to get you out of danger.

      Bosses oddly enough can feel easier to fight with the lock off, since you get to see more the screen and don’t get any of the bending nonsense, they are big enough you can’t really miss anyway.

    Have to admit that some of the animations and the feedback from when you hit these monsters look really lacking… I couldn’t even tell if some of those blows connected. Hope they can improve that part when the game releases.

    That’s because this game was suposed to be a new iteration on the EXE/Shoting Star Rockman sagas, but was just recycled when Inafune left.
