Bravely Default Has Its Very Own Notebook In Japan, And It Looks Awesome

By Eugene . December 4, 2013 . 5:30pm

We had hoped for it to be real—especially after Bravely Default producer Tomoya Asano brought a sample version onto a NicoNico live stream a couple months ago—but it’s official, and it’s here: A real D’s Notebook replica based on the in-game book you’ll be toting around in the game. This one’s blank, so you can use it for whatever you like.

Somehow, costs have been kept low—the book is only going to run you 2000 yen ($20) despite having silver foil—and yet, still looks amazingly detailed. The 192-page books inside is completely plain so you can use the notebook to doodle, write or do whatever else you’d like with. As mentioned, this book will also come with the downloadable costume codes that have also shipped with the drama CD from earlier if you missed that—giving you all the Ringabel loving you could ever want.

That covering will be perfect under the Christmas tree, yes? Someone? Anyone? Please? I promise I’ve been good this year! It’s available right now on the Square Enix store.

Bravely Default: For The Sequel will be out on the Nintendo 3DS this week December 6 in Europe while the rest of us have to cry and wait till February 7th of 2014.

    Grimoire Weiss is that you?

    • Aunna Terrell

IF they made a Grimoire Weiss replica, I would die happy once I got my hands on it. XD I LOVED that book to death in NIER.

“…while the rest of us have to cry and wait till February 7th of 2014.”
I appreciate that last bit as one of the people crying.

  • Kaetsu

    Can it predict the future?

  • 하세요

Ah, the Square Enix Store. One place to remind you how freakin’ poor you are.

  • Pekola

This would have been great with the Collectors Edition. But alas.

    I want the D.

    • PreyMantis

      “I want the D.”

Since the letter ‘d’ is a running sexual joke at my work, that sounded more wrong than it should have for me.

      • Romancer Ecclesia

        I think it’s working as intended. :P

    • Altin

I see what you did there.

  • Do they ship internationally without me having to use a deputy service?

    • Neophoton

      Unfortunately, they don’t.

  • AuraGuyChris

So Eugene is an unlucky American, just like me and most people.

  • Chaos_Knight

Now you can be ready for school in STYLE!

  • Matheus Mendes

Never played this game series, but I NEED that notebook!!!!

  • laurenhiya21

“This one’s blank so you can use it forever you like.”
I think you mean “for whatever you like”
Anyways, really can’t wait for February… Hopefully this will come over here when the game does so I don’t have to worry about (probably) stupid expensive shipping costs…

  • Neophoton

“giving you all the Ringabel loving you could ever want”

Way ahead of you on that one.

  • Arcana Wiz

I actually i want it, but i wouldnt ever write on it, to dont contaminate it with my ugly writing XD

  • Chee Yang

What’s the paper weight? As long as it’s not cheap paper.

  • neocatzon

    Next the novel books please!

  • Aetheus

It frankly looks too beautiful for me to ever imagine defiling it with my grubby hands and poor handwriting.
