!!! I’m not gonna be able to get a PSN card before tomorrow night… Will it still be there by then?

    • Herok♞

      this is for Xbox live

    • http://takopako.tumblr.com takopako

      its on xbox live, not psn. ;n;

      • InfectedAI

PSN is having a sale too.

    • Jake Joe

If you have a credit card you can still purchase at amazon for code and use it then. Even PSN is safe as long as you don’t save you Credit Card which it gives you an option

  • InfectedAI

On PSN the DLC characters are 2.50. No idea what price the game is as Sony’s terrible website is completely useless. It’ll only show me the price of DLC not the base game.

    • mikanko

I’m fairly sure UMvC3 was never released digitally on PSN so there is only the dlc to worry about not being available. The disc release is the only way to play the game on PS3.

      • M’iau M’iaut

Quit making yourself so scarce! :P Come see the old guard on twitter!

        • mikanko

          Twi’wha? :|

          • M’iau M’iaut

Hehe. Well it was worth a try. That’s where folks like Ren, WildArms, Code, Ashgail, Kaishou and Malek are mainly now. We even will have random Ishaan sightings from time to time.

          • malek86

Well, consider twitter a sort of retirement home. The old SE users eventually end up there, bickering about unimportant stuff and complaining about how things were so much better in some unspecified past timeframe.

It’s probably better than it sounds. Still better than Twi’light.

      • Terraforce77

        Except it was

        • mikanko

Odd then that on PSN both UMVC3 and vanilla Marvel have the subtitle, “Disc only.” At least on the US and JP stores. Might be different in EU.

It’s kinda odd seeing that most fighting games have digital releases on PSN, but unless it was taken off months ago it never had a digital release.(I remember checking when my xbox’s gold sub ran out and it was listed the same then.(which was probably for the best, as I’ll probably benefit from being stuck to training mode on my offline 360 more than slogging through this games awful netcode!~))

          • Dragard Kaos

I’m pretty sure the Vita version was released on PSN.

          • mikanko

It’s unclear if the Vita ver. is affected by this in any way. It’s possible the license rights to sell it digitally may be longer since the game is a bit more recent.

    • dmysta3000

PSN doesn’t update until tuesday afternoon. Just wait.

  • Tyler Beale

…Shit, you Xbox guys are getting the better deal! I bought UMvC3 on Vita for $12, and just recently, the Value Pack for $10, MvC2 and O for $7.50, and the MvC3 avatars for $4 – exclusive to Plus, but doesn’t have the additional 12 characters for Ultimate.

Now to download those remixes before they too disappear…

    • Sean ‘Geg’ Reddie

Consider yourself lucky. UMVC3 is £30 here everywhere for some reason. even PSN. We don’t even have a sale on before it gets dropped. Lame.

  • TheHolypopeofgaming

and I spent $20 on it yesterday…and another $20 for a PSN card

  • Scissors

Damn I payed $15 for all the DLC on PSN just now. On 360 all of it is just $7.50, they don’t even have the full game on PSN so I just bought the DLC and now have to go find a physical copy of the game. If you’re a 360 owner get up on this.

  • ReidHershel

    Wow…..5 dollars……that’s REAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY tempting.

    • MrJechgo

The thing is that on Dec 18th, it,s gone for good :(

      • ReidHershel

I’m a dude who is in love with physical copies tho, but at the same time, free game (got 400 points already)

        • Chee Yang

$5 is a steal, so get it. Sometimes you just have to make that decision to go digital.

  • Kaihedgie

Just downloaded Jill. I’d love to get the rest of the costumes with what little funds I had.

  • Learii

how big will MvC 3 will be? on ps3

  • Arcana Wiz

Well that is really cheap, shame that i have the ps3 version.

    • Ninjagoon

dont worry the dlc should still be up and be half off

  • dahuuuundge

So once it’s removed from PSN/ Live, there is absolutely no way for new comers who bought a physical copy of UMvC3 later to unlock Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine?

    • ffboi7

Yap pretty much. Sucks a lot for those who don’t jump on this deal.

  • Randgriz

PS+ still gives out better deals on a monthly basis lol
This is great news for Xbox fighter lovers though

    • The Watcher

      of course it is.

  • malek86

Wow, this past year XBL actually got good deals.

Might grab UMvC3 later, but I want to see the other daily deals first, because I only have 5€ to spend.

  • Tincho Kudos

    Is this for vita too?

  • Hound

This is what’s always bothered me about console DLC or digital distribution on consoles. While a physical game can be bought many years later (inflated if it’s rare), who’s to say how long you have access to DLC or when the game will have to be pulled completely if it is or has parts that were only digitally distributed.

Speaking of which: What occurs if you buy the DLC for PSN or XBOX live, but don’t download it? Do you lose the ability to download the purchased DLC once it’s pulled?

  • WolfDuo

God! One of the few times I wouldn’t mind an Xbox.

  • Christopher Nunes

ONLY on the Xbox 360?! What about the PS3?

Also how soon will the PSN version stay until its gone?

  • Chee Yang

I just hope Capcom does a rerelease with all the contents included on the disc….but that’s hard to say because the license with Marvel is up…so I don’t think they can even sell anything related to Marvel. Some thing with the Tatsunoko ordeal.
