By Spencer . December 20, 2013 . 12:38am

imageCompile Heart and Knights in the Nightmare developer Sting are working on a new game based on the Date a Live anime series. No details have been announced, but a teaser site for the game is live.

Date A Live: Rinne Utopia came out for PlayStation 3 earlier this year. Here’s a look at it and details about Rinne, an original character made for the PS3 game.

My hope for a new Dept. Heaven game is lower with each passing year.

Yeah, they’re done. I was afraid this CH collaboration would be bad news back when I heard about it, and here we are. We’ll never get a sequel to Gungnir to tie up all those loose plot threads. :(

      • farios

The series is already dead even before the collaboration announced, just like most of Sting games they sold bad and if they continue sailing with that boat, the company itself will sink along with the series.

Better to die a hero than live to see yourself become a villain.

Can’t wait for the second season of the anime as well =^_^=

  • darkbartz

As much as I liked Date A Live (more so the LNs than the anime), this seems completely out of left field. Was the first game that big of a hit? Second season hasn’t even started yet and a second game is already being made, wonder if this will include everyone from the second season when it’s done.

Also on a side note, I know it’s just Tsunako’s art work, but it seriously looks like Hyperdimension-version Black Heart and with Compile Heart being part of this, I can’t deny the possibility of a cross-over…

I don’t know how popular it was, but I imagine it was popular enough. The anime got a second season too. All I really know is the ending to the first made me want a sequel pretty badly.

RU sold 25k on its first week and its considered as a big number for a VN. Even KEY Rewrite sold 24k only at its first week.

Well, usually game like these are there to promote the anime or vice versa. SAO HF is in a similar situation as well except tht no S2 is officially announced.

Neptune x DAL sounds fun XD

    I need my Dept Heaven saga Sting… ;_;

    ……………..What is love?

Technological Spirits? Tht and her outfit seems to be a callback to HDN. Or perhaps she related to the 1st Spirit or Origami.

Since Yamai twins and Miku will debut in the S2, here to hoping for them having their routes. Hope Rinne will be relevant too. Poor girl need a break lol.

…………….I wonder will they somehow squeeze SPOILER inversed Tohka SPOILER in too ;P

Stop wasting Sting’s talents, CH. >:(

    • DyLaN

Sting is making the Noire SRPG, you know.

And ppl act like Sting never/cannot touch VN or any other genre is pissing me off.

      • pekikuubik

I know. The Noire SRPG is the reason I’m somewhat fine with them making VNs on the side, since at least it’s work that keeps them in business.

Also, Sting excels at gameplay. There’s no gameplay in a VN. I’d say my opinion is justified.

I really hope this Date A Live game will get localized
