Arc System Works are updating Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold with the Persona-using version of the game’s new character, Sho Minazuki, or the “katakana name” version. Dengeki shares a few details, along with a look at gameplay footage of the alternate Sho.
Sho Minazuki (katakana version), who uses the Persona “Tukiyomi,” is said to play a key role in Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold’s story. Most of Sho’s basic A and B attacks will use his dual-swords, which is said to have nice range in forward attacks with his A attacks.
His crouching-B anti-air attack is powerful and has quite the high reach in the air. All of his B attacks have two hits, so you’ll be able to wait a bit until hitting with the second attack for more damage.
One of his basic non-Persona attacks is the “Survival Knife” projectile, with both A and B versions having slight differences. The A attack version goes higher up, while the B version stays low but is much faster. This ability will prove to be useful when opponents are outside of Sho’s dual-sword range.
Sho Minazuki (kanji version) will have Tsukiyomi as his partner. Unlike most other Personas, Tsukiyomi will be appearing farther away from Sho Minazuki, giving players an added element of surprise, by allowing them to attack from behind.
Together with Tsukiyomi, Sho Minazuki has powerful attacks from short to long ranges, and is a character with plenty of freedom. He is recommended for players who’d like to go with a new character, and likes a bit of an unorthodox play-style.
