Wow thats cool! I actually just bought Project X Zone about a week ago its pretty fun and plus I feel good supporting the localization of games that would otherwise never come to the states

    • Ronldbx6

I’m looking forward to the next installment, whenever that may be. I think the game sold pretty well here, so I think they shouldn’t think twice about localization in the future.

  • Mayjay

There’s usually a good reason when things are discounted so heavily…

That being said, it’s a decent buy for that price. Though I definitely regret paying full price for it.

The game is a bit long, and yes, gameplay can get a bit repetitive, but I really enjoyed Project X Zone as a whole, especially the parts about how the characters from different series interacted with one another. E.g Frank West with almost every female character (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bI3jemehwtY).

What I liked about it being localized was that it wasn’t expected by a lot of people (hence coming as a really nice surprise) and that it exposed some of the more “niche” games for other English-speaking gamers e.g Sakura Wars…

…and as a member of the fraction that’s still patiently waiting and lobbying for Valkyria Chronicles 3 to be brought to US/Europe/Asia (outside of Japan, of course) shores, can I mention that this is the only localized form of VC3 that we currently have? (outside of that Udon artbook I mean…)

I picked it up first day, definitely no regrets as I knew what I was putting myself into. Two full playthroughs thus far, clocking in at over 120 hours. Wouldn’t mind going for a third playthrough just to see Yuri and Estelle mentioning about “Over Limits” when they saw Riela’s Valkyria powers being unleashed, or for that feeling when I land a critical special attack finisher for Mega-man/Zero, or to hear Stairs of Time being played whenever it’s Kite and Black Rose’s turn to move.

If you enjoy different series coming together, at this price, this title is definitely worthwhile for you to pick one up.

All of this is well said. Also, X and Zero use their X4 moves (with some from X3) which makes this game even more special.

I got my giggles watching Dmitri facepalm every time Dante does something that embarrasses both of them.

  • Akimitsu

I just bought it for $19.99 at Best Buy (which I think it still is there).

  • Ronldbx6

I don’t regret paying $40 for the games when it was new because I fairly enjoyed it. I wish the replayability had more value though. I started a 3rd run and stopped playing. Also this game sure did wear down my shoulder buttons, calling support and assist.

I think I’ll get the game physical either way. It’s $19.99, just a couple of dollars more and I’ll be getting it with booklet sooo… yay c:

Quite a few discounts from Nintendo! Might get the Witch and the Hero.

  • TheExile285

Would anybody recommend any of the 3DS games on this list? Already own a physical copy of PxZ :V

    *Edited

    • Kaetsu

I think you mean to say PxZ unless you actually were talking about Plants vs Zombies. I wouldn’t recommend any of the game on this list however as noted in the article the “Guild” games are on sale. Out of the Guild games I can recommend Liberation Maiden and Attack of the Monsters a Tokyo Tale.

      • TheExile285

haha yeah, I meant PxZ lol. I already have LM so I’ll look into Attack of the Monsters. Thanks!

        • Farid Belkacemi

Crimson Shroud is also a must buy if you like “table” RPG :)

  • Brimfyre

It’s long and tedious if you play it from beginning to end, but I play it in between bigger games, and it’s perfect. I’m on Chpater 38, and I will see if it will get me through Xmas, if not I’ll pick it back up in a few months.

$14.99 is a steal for anyone even remotely interested.

    • TrueDefault

Wow, how many chapters anyway? I’m only on 15th and I’m bored of it already. I actually only bought it for Juri. :P

  • Tyler Beale

I was going to get the physical copy of the game from Target (using a $25 gift card I got for my birthday), but….urrrrggghhhh….As much as I don’t like buying digital from Nintendo, I may just buy the game that way as it’s 50% off, and I won’t have to burn my whole gift card anyways.

  • r0gamer940

so how long is this sale?

  • Suriel Cruz

YOU JUST CAN’T DO THAT NINTENDO!!!!! DX AFTER I SPEND $20 OF DLC FOR FIRE EMBLEM: AWAKENING.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DX

  • James Enk

i am currently playing PXZ and i can see why it’s not the best game out there but it’s an enjoyable game nonetheless and for that price i recommend it

  • NeptuniasBeard

Six months later, still haven’t beaten it lol. But it is a fun game and I recommend it for anyone who has an attachment to these characters.

  • Foxeh Shihōin

well since it’s 15 bucks, i’ll go ahead and snatch this one!

  • Masa

game starts if great but i quit maybe halfway in, it gets really boring.

  • http://meikiyou.deviantart.com meikiyou

It’s a pity this game sucks

  • 하세요

If there’s one reason I’d recommend this game, it would be the music.

  • Anthony Birken

Did anyone bother playing namco x capcom?

    • 하세요

I did, all 90 hours of it. They were NOT lying when it came to the time it takes to beat that game. Minimum of like…70 hours. It was fun but the defending got really annoying and time consuming.

I even played SRT:OGS Endless Frontier and *insert long name again* Endless Frontier EXCEED. I wanted to make sure I was ready for PxZ.

      • Anthony Birken

lol, I’m still trying to get SRT:OGS. I’ve only watched videos. They did shorten PxZ’s game completion time. For me it was like 40-50 hours. I think reiji and xiaomu could use their own game though instead of just cross overs~ they’re pretty cool characters.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

Witch & Hero is making me rage Quit….. good!

    • Lumi

How bad is the difficulty? I enjoyed the demo, especially the fact that I actually have to grind to even finish the demo.

  • Carlos Escalante

Just finishing this game after playing it on and off for a couple of months. I started loving it, but it slowly degraded into a repetitive mess….it should have been 25 hrs. tops….the gameplay system DID NOT stretch well for 60 hrs. Still, the animations, characters, music and battle system are all great. Just the proportions were off. A victim of artificial lengthening.
