I didn’t know we got ALBW first. That feels good.

    • Anewme…Again

Recently most Zelda games made it to the west before Japan, probably because Zelda is far more popular in the west then it’s in Japan.

  • ShinTekk

Must grab my HD port of Final Fantasy X/X2!!! And on another note, man, Japan is getting their A Link Between Worlds late.

  • malek86

I can’t imagine Zelda making a particularly big impact on the market. I’m much more interested in seeing whether FFX can do anything for the Vita, although being just a HD port, that sounds difficult to believe.

I don’t see anything else worth checking out. Spartan Assault was pretty meh on W8 already, and Zen Pinball is gonna be the usual pinball… duh. The next few weeks are gonna be a slog to get through, there’s nothing of interest coming out until mid-February at least.

Can’t wait for it to be released here. Finally going to be able to fight the Dark Aeons + Penance with the new graphics! I’m still a little off by the difference of voices though.

    Zelda should be number 1

Did we ever get confirmation on whether or not the ps vita version of x | x-2 will have dual audio or not?

    • Pereb

Wait, was it confirmed for PS3?

    • Aoshi00

no words on that yet.. so far Lightning Returns is the first FF ever to have dual audio and is more like an exception. If KH 1.5 & 2.5 aren’t, X/X-2 HD probably won’t be.. that’s why I’m importing and getting the US ver as well, like I did for PS2.. I’m hoping more for the option of original soundtrack in addition to the rearranged ver..

      • Anesia Hunter

(Didn’t FFXIII and FFXIII-2 for the PS3 have dual audio?) What if X-2 HD Remaster comes with Last Mission? If I recall right there wasn’t any English voice overs for Last Mission, so if there aren’t any voice overs won’t that mean NA version won’t get Last Mission?

        • Pereb

XIII and XIII-2 didn’t have dual audio, however, the Chinese version had Japanese audio and an option for English subs.

        • Aoshi00

nah, like aforementioned, never dual audio, but one HK Eng ver had Jpn audio w/ Eng sub. LR would be a very first for FF. They might dub the new part in Eng. same as the new drama CD. It’s cfm’ed that NA ver would get Last Mission as well. But dual audio for this re-release is not likely.

All I need to know is if the HD remakes have dual language setting like the international version on the PS2. If that is confirmed, I’ll buy this day one (which is the day after tomorrow.)

FFX|X-2 Japan Boxart VS Western boxart (pulled from Amazon)

I’m happy about a physical release SE but I really hope this is just a placeholder. If I didn’t know better, I’d think the Vita versions were straight PS2 ports because of that Boxart :/

    • Aoshi00

The thing is the regular PS3 LE has the best cover, Vita just blending the two.. I thought of getting the CE from S-E store, but that only has a blend traditional white background w/ amano logo cover as well :( right now the PS3 ver seems to have the best cover w/ brand new art :)

      • TheExile285

That is kind of my point

        • Aoshi00

I know.. I meant I planned on getting the PS3 ver anyway, and wouldn’t mind getting the CE w/ the soundtrack, but because of the cover, I’m sticking w/ LE. Even though one of the CE lithographs is the LE ver cover.

For the Jpn ver, all PS3/Vita ver have the bland white background (w/ blown-up Amano logo), except the twinpack for Vita. I’m importing the PS3 ver and getting the US ver on PS3 as well..

The $80 Colllector’s Edition really should’ve had the best cover art..

  • TheTimeMage

Will the Japanese version of the FFX/FFX-2 for Vita have English text? Dual Audio would be nice but as long as all the text can be set to English I think I’ll get the twin pack when its cheaper. I’m hopeful because its the international versions but you never know.

    • TheExile285

      I don’t think they do.

    • Anime10121

No they won’t, Square Enix titles never have more than Japanese text options in Japan.

      • ishyg

Are you sure about this? I’ve played the international version of FFX and it has English language option. That was on PS2. If they are porting that game it may have. I don’t want to risk my money though. And recently, Bravely Default For The Sequel have multiple language options as well.

        • Anime10121

Well if the international version of X DID have an English Language option, its because it was the exact same game that Europe got. Europe got the game so late that their standard version was X’s International one with the extra content. I still dont recall the Japanese one being able to overlay the game with English text so that you could play it in English with Japanese audio…

On Bravely Default’s matter, its an entirely different series with a different form of localization, and therefore, cant be compared to the FF series localizations.

          • ishyg

I don’t recall getting the European version though, as we have a Japanese PS2. Oh well, my memory isn’t that great anyways. The game’s out now, so I’ll probably know for sure by now. Thanks.

          • ishyg

I think this FAQ supports my claim:
            http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/197344-finalfantasy10/faqs/41079

Then again, they could easily just remove the English subtitles and menus for this version, for the sake of regional differences.

  • new_tradition

I have the NA PS3 version pre-ordered, but I can see myself double dipping for the Vita versions eventually :3
