  • A release date has been conceived! lol O/

  • TheGioG

I am beyond ready for some baby making with these cuties, no matter how hilariously short I may look.
“My golden sideburns alone have experienced more than a lesser man’s entire body.”

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

April? :( daww oh well at lest we are getting it :D

  • Pdugna

Well that date makes it a birthday game for me :D now just to preorder it for the OST and that nice looking case on the Vita version.

  • ZeoAbyss

How is this release date news? Amazon had it for this date a while now.

  • ReidHershel

The struggle between getting a 3DS or Vita version is real.

    • Pdugna

Vita it has shown to be better all around, or both if you have the money =P just to make sure more of these games come out in NA

    • ZEROthefirst

I’m going with the Vita version because in all honesty it’s the same exact game. The Vita version just looks a lot better and has trophies if it floats your boat. If there are any major differences besides these I don’t know about them. They both cost the same amount too so it just kind of screams Vita version unless you really just have to own the 3DS version.

    • MrOrpheus

I’m having the same problem. I know it’s probably an unpopular opinion, but I vastly prefer playing games on the 3DS as the Vita’s sticks are too small to be comfortable for me, I appreciate the 3DS’s more portable design, and I actively dislike trophies, among other small things. At the same time, I’m also shallow enough to want the Vita version just because it’s the visually “superior” version. I’m honestly not sure which way I’ll go.

      • Sigfried Silverblade

Since the graphics are a bit better on Vita, and I do like trophies, my choice has been made.

    • kthanxyousuck

I only have a 3DS so that’s my choice but if I had a choice between two then I’d probably go with the Vita because of trophy support and I have a feeling the vita version might be more well stocked since the Vita version sold more than the 3DS version.

Unless this game supports 3D and that’s your thing.

      • British_Otaku

Stock of a version is determined by how strongly the console probably does in the market. Sure it sold better in Japan on the Vita and the Vita is still far behind the 3DS.

Outside Japan, the gap is even bigger and the 3DS doesn’t have any competition. >_> It could be stocked in higher numbers for the 3DS.

    • antithesis

I’m getting the Vita. VLR was so much better on Vita. Also screenshot on Vita. I loved it for VLR. Also OLED makes it easier on my eyes.

And if there are any game breaking bug, Vita will likely be patch while the 3DS may never get it. Ahem VLR.

      • British_Otaku

The interface for VLR is better on the 3DS, I never came across the bug in VLR 3DS(a shame for people that did), it is possible for games with game breaking bugs to be patched on the 3DS (see Devil Survivor Overclocked European Release), you can’t play the original 999 on the Vita at all and this doesn’t have any bugs that I’ve heard of even if they could be America exclusive.

      • Herok♞

if they patch one they would patch the other both systems support patches after all.

    • Lalum

It’s hands down better on Vita, no contest really.

  • artemisthemp

I hope EU is getting the soundtrack also, since I need a lot of listing to opening song, so I maybe one day, maybe just maybe can understand what they sing :P

    • Pereb

I hope EU is getting the game at all… (3DS only here :()

      • artemisthemp

NISA will most likely localization for EU.

So we will at less get Vita version, which is all I need.

        • Pereb

Ah, that’s pretty cool. Hope it gets released on 3DS in EU too. I’d like a Vita but can’t really justify the purchase right now.
          Fingers crossed xD

          • artemisthemp

Oh I forgot NISA have license to develop for 3DS, so should be possible to get a 3DS port

        • Romored

When was it confirmed? Can you post a link? No one said anything yet, about an EU edition.

          • artemisthemp

            Sorry, haven’t been confirmed.
Must have though it was confirmed, since NISA have brought almost anything Atlus release over to EU

  • Yggdr5

Still no word about dual-audio or the audio language(s) at all. No good sign considering this is Atlus.

PS: It seems they already inofficially confirmed this:

    • Azul

      Its english dub only

      • karldeck

Which isn’t a big problem for me for Japanese games (for some reason, I have big problem when it comes with anime but that is besides the point) and Atlus has solid track record since the PS2 era, so it will be great at best.

        • MrTyrant

Still in this kind of niche ones I prefer the original audio.

      • Arcana Drill

which is no surprise, considering that Atlus almost never do dual audio or let the jap dub.

        • xXDGFXx

Well, Persona 4 Arena got dual audio.

          • Andhros

Then the fans ripped into them for having to region lock the game in order to release it that quickly in
both markets. I think that Atlus has decided quicker releases and English voices for the time.

    • Ladius

Atlus USA already confirmed it won’t be dual audio.

    • Duo Maxwell

For a game like this and no JP audio? Seriously.

    • Kai2591

      daymn shayme

    • Crazy_O

      Ah fuck this.

Seriously does Atlus fear reverse importing so much that they will never give us jp. voices ever?

And for the one game that did, P4A.. They even ADDED Region Locking to be sure no reverse importing with the result that it took 8 fucking months to be released in Europe.

Atlus are a bunch of d… and every game they release is a lost cause. I never bought P4Golden and everything Atlus touches is now dead to me. Sega should fire all of them at make hire some people that actually care about the niche market in the west.

      • Landale

You know there are reasons things don’t get dual audio, or the original japanese audio, all that often right? And it’s not about importing.

        • Crazy_O

Oh yea, like Persona 4 Arena. Hey suddenly the same studio gives them the right to the voices, how can that be? Or could it be that greedy Atlus wasn’t just bothered to pay ASW for more than one version and instead Region locked the game to make sure?

Even Squenix got it right with Lightning Returns.

I will never spend any money on Atlus games anymore – more for NISA, Aksys and Xseed who give a damn about there niche audience.

        • Yggdr5

This is a bad example for so many reasons, but let me just state one: The Atelier-series always had dual-audio when NISA published the game. Koei Tecmo bought Gust, the developer, and started to publish the games themselves and the first thing they did scratch was dual-audio.
The Fans complained, rightfully so, and the next Atelier game will once again feature dual-audio.
So it’s not like the publisher has no influence.

          • Landale

And that had nothing to do with the Atelier series, aside from the person mentioning that they put forth that information not only there but in an Atelier related thread.

        • Göran Isacson

Man, this thread was crazy interesting. Bookmarked for posterity, and thank you for linking to it.

  • Greg

I always thought a release date was already revealed. I check Amazon the other day and it had the release date. Maybe it was just saying April before that? :s

  • Suriel Cruz

    My Birthday.!!! ^ ^

  • Kaetsu

Awesome! I should be done with Bravely Default by then so I won’t have anything else to play before this.

    • God

As a fan of LONG RPGs, who owns a a vita, a 3ds, and a pirated ps3 (not proud of it, but gaming is pretty much the only thing that entertains me, and being god is not very lucrative this days… medamn that church, keeping all the money…) that can play PSX, PS2, PSP and of course PS3 games, i wish i could say the same…

  • Kumiko Akimoto

    now for vita demos

  • Prinny Dood

Im getting the vita version I already have plenty of games on my 3ds xl

    • Original Sayin Prince

plus it may look better on the vita

      • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

look doesn’t mean a game is better version.

        • Alter

why not ? 544p > 240p, trophies, right analog stick for camera control, better audio, better images with OLED screen.

          • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

Visual doesn’t make a game play better. It only make perform better. Also the Vita version is version they worked on first.

By that logic of yours u will be interested in getting FFVI on IOS as oppose to SNES then.

          • mirumu

FFVI on iOS is a horrible upscale and it’s controls are radically different. The graphics aren’t better, in fact I’d actually argue they’re worse than the SNES aesthetically.

If you really want to ask that question a better example would be Assassin’s Creed 4. Would you buy it on PS4 (smooth 1080p, trohies) or Wii-U (720p with frame drops, minimap on gamepad, Miiverse).

        • Duo Maxwell

If the content is the same and the graphic is better, isn’t it a better version?

          • M’iau M’iaut

Depends, the best version of Conception might just be the one for the system one owns.

          • Alter

well the OP has both 3DS and Vita.

          • M’iau M’iaut

Daniel may not — or he may prefer to see his girls in 3D :P.

          • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

I’m getting the 3DS version instead of Vita version. I am not a graphic or trophy freak.

          • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

3DS second screen for the map, menu and etc.

            Better graphics
Trophies for people who can’t 100% gammes like old days

  • Prinny Dood

You know this kind of feels like persona but you can make babies, wow imagine making babies with chief or rise even yukiko sigh:-)

  • Kenny Loh

    can’t wait!!!

  • Warren

Im getting this game, but can anyone tell me if we get to choose who we impregnate first? I’d rather impregnate the blue-haired or blonde-haired girl first. I want my first child to be special with the right girl y’know.

    • revenent hell

I believe so. The first game the better your “affinity” to the maiden the better the child becomes so… yes.

  • AkiraScare

Ready to work all day to make stars (^_^)

  • ninjabart122

As someone else did note, wasn’t there already a planned release date? I had already planned on pre-ordering this for pickup for April 15th.

Was that just the leaked date that hasn’t been officially stated yet?

    • kthanxyousuck

When I saw it listed on Amazon and Gamestop they had this date so I’m not really sure. But glad it didn’t change!

    • Slickyslacker

I thought that it was a week earlier, April 8th. That’s the date Amazon had pre-set, for a while.

Ah well, another week is far better than another month or something.

  • gold163

How different are the Vita and 3DS versions from each other?

    • PreyMantis

      Like usual:
Vita = better graphics to better see the textures of the plots
3DS = has 3D stereocopy visuals to see the plots in 3D

      • gold163

        decisions, decisions…

      • Kayhil Dimas

Gonna have to apologize but this made me lol harder then it should have. Also vita version for me.

  • PreyMantis

  • Nightmare637

Got the Vita version on pre order, quick question for anyone.
If memory serves there was a Monokuma(battle, stage, don’t really remember) in this game, was that DLC or is it in the game already?

EDIT: Okay Found it, and it is Indeed DLC, what do think the odds are of us getting it?(especially since NISA is localizing Danganrona)

  • SerChief

I don’t think this game is for me; just not enuf colors…. just kidding *eye spazzes*

  • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

Getting on 3DS instead of my Vita.

  • Anthony Birken

Wonder if Katsuragi would pick up a game like this hmmm?

    • M’iau M’iaut

Doubtful, we have long ago learned he only plays all-ages games.

      • Anthony Birken

        I wouldn’t mind reading/seeing it as an omake~

        • M’iau M’iaut

That would probably cause Keima to blow up. He can handle figuring out a way to keep demons, angels and humans from killing each other without raising a hand himself. (Although I do at times question whether a man should allow his harem to be put at any risk when he was able to step in the way.)

Seeing what a girl has under her shimapan? That’s instadeath for K-kun.

  • Anthony Birken

Just re-read the old article….”create Star Children with two girls at once.” You can make TWO KIDS AT ONCE!? MY LOOORRRDDD!

  • Anesia Hunter

so 4 days before my b-day. that’s awesome.

    • Don’t you just love when that happens lol =)

  • Ryuki

I’m so torn. Should I get this for 3DS-chan or should I pick it up for Vita-kun?

    • I think both versions will be fine, but I pre-ordered mine for the Vita. I couldn’t resist that OLED, and the feel of my Vita in my hand lol

    • doubleO7

I’m having the same dilemma. I’ll probably go with the Vita version but I do prefer the 2D anime art of the 3DS game during events vs the 3D models in the Vita game. But oh well, thats a minor gripe.

      • mockturtle

Whoa whoa whoa, this is a thing? That’s very important!

    • Eileithyia

      vita version for me

  • chroma816

I’m still super surprised this is coming over at all.

It’s definitely not going to be heavy on story, and some of the waifus are pretty generic, but I’ll pick it up.

  • Quick question for anyone who knows: do the Star Children act as summons, special attacks, or something of that nature? Or, do they join you as party members? Also, do the ladies you court fight alongside you or are they there just to look pretty like they were in Azure Dreams?

    • XiaomuArisu

      The babys are member
      4babys are 1unit
      The girls can join too

  • Jelly

JPRG without Dual-audio yet again? Atlus never learn.
