  • Guess how I feel about this?

    C’mon. Guess.

    • neocatzon

      Umm.. Kotomine Kireeeei!!

      • Yea. It’s kinda like that.

        • Ric Vazquez

He’s like, my #1 most hated villain in anime.

          • It’s either him or Matou Zouken in F/SN. One of the two.

    • Arcana Drill

Well… is-inst like i want to be in another series written b-by Nasu or anything like that… your baka!

    • neocatzon

Wait, original route by Nasu? At least they’re not in butchery.

    • New route, huh? Wonder if Ilya fans will get what they’ve been asking for…

      • huhuhu you mean the supposed to be route that were removed from the game? That’s gonna be interesting if they do that XD

)Or just make Fate prototype adaptation already ufotable)

        • DyLaN

Am I the only one who wants a Fate Extra anime?

          • Nightmare637

            No, I want one aswell.
ever since I saw that cameo in Carnival Phantasm(or whatever its called)
stop playing with my heart! T.T

    • Arcana Drill

well if its a original route written by Nasu and not a mix of the three ones its a good thing… and i expect moar sakura moments and more heart breaking ones.

    • ChiffonCake

Oh boy, a new route? Hopefully it won’t be anything like the Frankenstein’s Monster that was Deen’s adaptation.

      Come at me, Nasu!

    • Rudy Soto

As a unpopular opinion as this is, I hope that this ‘new’ route doesn’t focus on Saber. I was never fond of her, and partially the reason being that Shirou never developed much as a character when she was heroine, unlike in his development in the UBW and HF routes.

      • César H. Sandoval

Not gonna happen, Saber is the postergirl of the franchise.

        • natchu96

The funny thing is us in the west (probably japan too, who knows) seem to like the Saber Clones a lot more.

Nero was fun to be with. Her self-image discrepancy moments especially. Dem embarrassed excuses.

Mordred’s shaping up to be interesting it seems. Somehow came out with a relatively interesting personality despite her whole character revolving around F/SN Saber’s entire existence. Not much translation going, but she has her “daughter” moments with her master in the first volume alright.

One would argue that Jeanne doesn’t look as much like Saber as the rest did, but it apparently looks similar enough that Caster of F/Z can’t tell the difference while insane. And she reads maths textbooks for FUN due to her background.

      • Aleister Crowley

That’s kind of the point of the Fate Route. Saber. Shirou gets UBW and plot exposition gets HF.

    • xe7en

So they’re not going for the heaven’s feel after all. Instead, a new route. Should be interesting to say the least.

Edit: on second thought, there was a scene from fate route there in the trailer. Maybe it’ll stick close to fate route with a much serious tone this time. We’ll see.

    • darkbartz

Wait wait wait. Just for clarification, it’s anime-original content at the very least, not one whole new original route. That hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Just trying to stop the misinformation from spreading too far.

    • greg_67

So far the original route information seem to be rumors so I’ll would wait until clarification on that.

    • César H. Sandoval

So, they see this as a Sequel to Zero and want a Badass MC Shirou?

      This is gonna be good.

This version better has Emiya as part of the soundtrack tho.

      • cyberkinghardy

You’re misunderstanding something. The first FSN anime was the one they talk about as “Sequel to Zero”. They want to make this anime storyline independent of zero. That means it’s a whole new story. from what i understand

        • César H. Sandoval

I see…. It’s interesting, for those of us who already know how the VN and old anime went at least.

    • Wait what “new route”? You mean it’s not gonna be either fate, heaven’s feel, or the UBW’s route???

      • natchu96

The name is Unlimited Blade Works T_T

    • Ric Vazquez

      Hypetrain inbound.

    • Ric Vazquez

The images that start at 2:10 in the video are from Heaven’s Feel, well only time will tell what route it will exactly be.

  • zferolie

Another one? really? how can they keep making this?

    • luckgandor

What do you mean by “another one?” ufotable has made exactly 1 Fate series and that’s Fate/Zero. The original Fate/Stay Night was butchered in typical Studio Deen fashion. Revisiting FSN is more than justified.

      • zferolie

I didn’t mean it in a bad way. I just remember seeing a lot of Fate?Stay anime’s, but maybe some of those were OVA/Movies only. I am just surprised to keep seeing them make more. I mean, it’s good, but aren;t there other works of type-moon to make into anime?

        • doubleO7

There was a previous TV series and a movie from another company. Neither were very good adaptations though. Tsukihime also received a mediocre anime adaptation a few years ago.

In addition to Fate/Zero ufotable also adapted Type-Moon’s Kara no Kyokai/Garden of Sinners novels into movies.

Everything they’ve done has basically been adapted into an anime. Even the early prototype draft of FSN was adapted into a 12 minute short.

At this point all they can really do is either re-adapt the earlier stuff that received poor adaptations, or make up original arcs like this new series might turn out to be.

          • DyLaN

Everything they’ve done has basically been adapted into an anime.

-DDD (No way this will get an anime though)
-Notes (I don’t see it happen either)
-Tsuki no Sango (Well, it got a manga)
-Fate/Extra (It got an Drama CD)
            -Fate/Extra CCC
-Fire Girls (Some1 translate the LN pls)
-Girls Work (This one got the “when its done” hammer)

          • doubleO7

I did say “basically”, as I had a feeling I was forgetting something. And I did forget about DDD, MahoYo and Apocrypha, but I don’t think I’ve heard of Tsuki no Sango or Fire Girls before (although the latter, while written by someone associated with TM, isn’t part of the Fate universe as far as I can tell).

I intentionally left the video games out, but I suppose they’ve got just as good a chance at getting an anime as a lot of this other stuff does (meaning unlikely, but not entirely impossible).

I didn’t forget about Girls Work, but its already confirmed to be getting an anime (from ufotable no less).

          • DyLaN

Fire Girl is written by Meteor Hoshizora (S/He also co-wrote the World Conquest Zvezda Plot anime) and while it isn’t connected to the “main” continuity it is a part of T-M.

Tsuki no Sango is written by Nasu with illustration by Takeuchi for an recital event of Maaya Sakamoto. It is later adapted into an manga. (4 chapter translated into english)

Why do I have feeling GW is being axed in production?

        • Guest

There’s a running joke that the original Tsukihime anime doesn’t exist, and I would have preferred a Tsukihime done right over this. But hey, ufotable’s art/animation is movie quality and this a logical follow-up.

  • Daioh

I feel that it is “Fate” that this is happening, and in excitement I can’t help but “Stay” up all “Night” :D

  • luckgandor

Wouldn’t be surprised if this original route was actually a combination of Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven’s Feel.

In any case, we had Sailor Moon, JoJo: Stardust Crusaders, Mushishi S2, Gin no Saji S2, Baby Steps, Ping Pong, and now this, so 2014 is shaping up to be an amazing year for anime.

  • Demonspartanx20

As long as Shirou isnt a bitch, i’m good. Though hopefully. saber will get the spotlight as well, and i don’t care if it’s a new route or old i want to see an even more badass fight between shirou and Archer Emiya. Since how badass Fate/Zero was I’m more than confident they can do not only that but the rest of the series justice lol

  • BaoZakeruga

I still need to watch fate/zero

    • cj may

what are you doing with your life?! least you got a good half a year to catch up.

    • Yes, you do.

  • Words cannot convey just how great I feel about this right now.

  • The Fall 2014 anime season is already looking good =)

  • TheBlackRabbit

  • Sangaz

Bit sad that it won’t be an adaption of Heaven’s Feel. I like Sakura being the main heroine.

  • Ric Vazquez

    I can’t contain my hype
