Meet Soul Sacrifice Delta’s Take On Little Red Riding Hood

By Spencer . January 30, 2014 . 3:03am

Soul Sacrifice Delta draws on Grimm’s fairy tales for new monsters. Keiji Inafune explained to Siliconera he picked these stories because people are familiar with them, but this wouldn’t be Soul Sacrifice without a dark twist. In the PlayStation Vita game, Red Riding Hood is an armored monster with a gigantic sword.

Soul Sacrifice Delta comes out on March 6 in Japan.

Kinda curious what Red Riding Hoods story is. Looks like they’ve combined Grandma and Red Riding Hood in one package here?

Quick question, is delta an updated re-release or a proper sequel?

    • DarkLight

There is a well known knight who keep on winning fights, as he wore jet-black armor and helm in imitation of a wolf, menacing in its appearance.

One day, the knight suffers deep wound from the battlefield, took refuge in the mountains. He then stumbled on a hut, who lives an old woman. He demanded that she entertained him with foods and medications, and the old woman oblige with no resistance. Without the knight knowing, she cooked herself (?) to feed the knight.

Knight ate without hesitation, but later astonished to read a letter the old woman left behind. She had once a good son – (vague part) and the name engraved on the letter was the name of the wolf knight.

Without hesitation, he cut his own belly attempting to save the old woman who he had assume from the letter as his mother. He was then shocked by the sight that he sees. The old woman peeped from his now torn-open belly and muttered, “You has been deceived”.

The old woman was a witch with parasitic abilities that binds on a host to keep on living for eternity.

I know it’s coming, but I wish they’d say something about a US/EU release date.

    • Syn

I thought the exact same thing!!!! Am thinking shit, just how badass is he to be weilding Excalibur, heck even one of his attacks looked a little like the attack we do with the Excalibur black rite.

  • xXDGFXx

So, I noticed the player character is holding a spear of some sorts. This means weapons are available now, right?
