Who Says Farmers Can’t Look Good In Harvest Moon: Connect To A New Land?

By Sato . February 8, 2014 . 2:00pm

Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land will have plenty of animals and crops for you to handle, but it’ll also have many ways to style-up your characters. Marvelous shared a look at how you’ll be doing just that in their latest update on the game.

Your avatar in Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land will be customizable once more, and the game will allow you to change your clothes, hairstyle and hair color any time you want. There will also be a variety of accessories to choose from such as hats, glasses and more.

Additionally, you build a sewing studio, you’ll be able to make your own clothes, and get compliments from village cuties like Iris as seen in the above image.

With the vegetables you grow, eggs acquired from chickens, or fish you caught at the river, you’ll be able to use them to cook meals, similar to previous Harvest Moon games. They can be used to recover your stamina, or presents to win over the hearts of potential bachelors and bachelorettes in town.

Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land will be ready for picking on February 27, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS in Japan.

I can’t wait to farm some crops while wearing a bow tie and top hat.

You’ll be the most dandiest, dapper-lookin’ farmer of the land.

  • That kind of irks me now because they had might as well given you some kind of option with skin tone too, but whatevs.

The game is still looking pretty cute and fun, so I’m looking forward to it. I’m really loving all these portable titles [especially the (3)DS focus], but I am angsting over when we’ll get another home console title. . .

Non-white people don’t farm. They’re- Alright I’m not going to make that joke.

      • Lol, thanks and thanks (for making a joke, but also avoiding making the joke).

    • The model proportions look a bit… different from the last game, but that’s not a problem. What I find more “off” are the eyes.

      • I am so glad I wasn’t the only one thinking it. ^u^;
After a moment, I stopped looking at the pictures too much because something about them felt off.

    • Strange. I thought there was a skin tone option when you started the game in A New Beginning at least? I really gotta check my game again sometime, cause I thought I gave my character a darker skin color…

      • Yeah, you can, but I thought it was implied that they were dropping that here. But they’re not, apparently. x’D

actually, on the image with the girl and options next to her, the first option says ‘Skin Color: Natural Beige’

I wouldn’t expect a home console title anytime soon. Nintendo portables seem to be the only place Harvest Moon/Rune Factory do well.

      • I know. vnv

I shouldn’t expect it, and I feel if it’s really up to them they will continue to avoid, but some of their better titles were on home console and I just need another, and it’s been so long anyway. (C’mon, five years!?)

*Me looking from the feet up*
“This doesn’t look ba- *sees the head*
“Holy shit, they look like Porcoline from Rune Factory 4!”

    • Elemiel

      Porco porco~!

If what you say is true then even iron would be edible if made with love~

  • PenguinChan1119

I hope it gets a fall 2014 release date state side.

  • Zer0faith

    Farmers can’t look good?
    Clearly they’ve never met Donnel.

    • Hinataharem

I’m glad I did meet Donnel, now

    • You also have to remember that Goku’s a farmer and he’s jacked.

      • Satori Satya

Not exactly looking good but one of them is jacked

  • Kazekage Gaara

    JUS! ^-^

  • Tiramii

Great! I can look snazzy and farm at the same time! :D
