Beginning on March 6th, Drakengard 3 will be getting a prequel stories featuring the Intoner sisters as DLC. As you play through these tales you unlock their memories by progressing through the story. Famitsu shares a first look at the new content, and it looks a lot cuter than expected.

The scenarios will further expand on Drakengard 3′s world by showing the Intoner sisters outside of the main game.

The DLC episodes will have plenty of hidden items and currency you’ll be able to acquire from battles, and each character will have their own weapon stories.

Its like a weird unique picture book art in some fairy tales…which i like, VERY MUCH.
Going have to hold back on watching the videos on these…mmm i can’t wait to get my hands on the game~

    This game = Greatness

Here’s to hoping all regions get the stories.

Yeah hope the us would get all these dlc as well.. Wonder if they d be around $4.99 each. Getting all on Jpn PSN is a lot, 3600 yen.. I alrdy spent like $270 on the 10 th anniv ver and getting the US CE too.. The drawings look like Tim Burton s lol

      • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

That’s exactly what I thought too. Nightmare Before Christmas style lol

  • Ferchenko

    I ♥ THIS!

  • Göran Isacson

The only thing I’m curious about is if the cutesy drawing style is meant to provide a much more comedic atmosphere, foreshadowing that these stories aren’t as serious as the original… or if they’re just there to lure us into false security and when our guard is down, the feels will strike hard and without mercy.

But considering that the big guy is literally a table in that one picture, I’ve a feeling it’s the former.

As someone who’s complete the game through all 4 endings, the drawings are done in a style that is meant to invoke comedy in the face of tragedy as a way of coping.

That said, Decad is a huge masochist so that picture is probably more about Four being mad about him playing Tables again.

also, as an excuse for low budget DLC for a title that has outdated graphic

      • Stephen Mc Devitt

Better than the big long CGI cutscenes in Lightning Returns.

  • Warren

Thanx Ill be getting them all. But serious people if you like them please pick them up. You’ll be happy and theres no price for happiness.

    how cute

    • Warren

Except for 5 screaming in the background.

  • Hinataharem

Nice to see alternate art thats not super kawaii moe

  • Earthjolly

Happy tree friends all over again

  • Mordina

This looks adorable! Since the start I had hoped for the sisters to be playable and soon I can.

  • Skeptika Crediblus

Did not-Cavia include a child murder meter on this one? I lost track last time.

  • chroma816

Sure, it *looks* cute, but knowing Drakengard…

  • Stephen Mc Devitt

It’s likely this cute because it’s all low-budget but it works to Drakengard’s advantage because developers had to be more creative with what they had. Why can’t there be more games that make good use with a smaller budget?

  • AokiShizuku

I’m very sure that the cute art style is meant to fool people into thinking it’s not as dark as the main game.

If Utahime Five taught me anything, it’s to expect dark things from anything Drakengard.
