  • Make me wonder if I should wait for a Plus version of Escha&Logy.

    • AndreasStalin

same…Been buying these games twice for a while. Not that I mind though.

  • dragoon_slayer12

Is there a US release date, I never played the series, and was bummed to find out that the games released on the vita was 2 and 3 and I want to play in chronological order (ocd)

    • DyLaN

Ayeaha Plus localization hasn’t been announced.

    • chibidw

Tecmo Koei doesn’t even plan to release Rorona in the west, much less Ayesha.

  • pekikuubik

Somebody tell Linca she should wear clothing appropriate for her cup size. That just looks painful.

    • I was kind of noticing that. It does look a bit awkward/painful. ouo;

    • Kumiko Akimoto

I didn’t notice her making a painful face

  • grevlinghore

I didn´t even particularly enjoy the game, and yet for some strange reason I kind of want this. Perhaps it´s a good thing I don´t own a PS Vita :p

    • You might actually enjoy it more on the Vita. I’ve found that, at least for me, I can focus more and enjoy RPGs when they’re on handhelds, and the Atelier series gives very well to it, since the game cycles themselves are not very long… Especially if you know what you’re doing.

  • Koji Kabuto

All the girls looks great (especially Linca) , but they should make at least one costume for Regina.

    • DyLaN

Can we have one or two for Marion too?

      • Koji Kabuto

Of course, all the cast deserve at least one.

  • Kornelious

(Sigh) I miss the days when NISA made collectors edition for every game…WHY COULDN’T NIPPON ICCHI AQUIRE GUST! :(
Btw, where is New Ateier Rorona! >:(

    • chibidw

The Vita versions are casualties of Tecmo Koei now – we’re probably not going to see them localized anymore.

They’ve already pulled the same garbage that Sega/Namco Bandai does with the “We have no plans to localize them, but you can always let us know if you want it!” corporate PR dodging that the previous companies love to do.

      • Kornelious

But why, it’s not like the atelier sales were bad, and if they were it’s because they didn’t relase a physical edition to them!
(Sigh) I just really hope we get New Rorona and Ayesha plus :(

        • Loli Summoner

I pretty sure we will get New Rorona and Ayesha plus. We already got Mururu and Totori plus, why the hell would they just stop all randomly if they did, it would be hell to pay I tell ya…

  • Man, you know guys, I feel like it should be important to note, but… It’s taken Tecmo Koei months to release the Plus games so far. Totori Plus? Four months. Meruru Plus? Six months. New Rorona only came out on November 21st, and Ayesha Plus isn’t even out yet– it’s release is the 27th. Heck… Escha and Logy came out in June, and we’re now finally just getting it, and it took them months to announce a localization.

I think we can afford to wait and see for a bit. There is still the GDC on the 17th this month, and it’s as likely they might just release a trailer for either of those games. They released a trailer for Meruru Plus at E3 for it’s announcement, so I’m imagining something similar is gonna happen.

Also: I sorta doubt that Tecmo Koei has reason to dump the easy money the Plus series at least gives, since from my knowledge and double-checking, both Totori Plus AND Meruru Plus managed to hit the top 10 positions of best sellers the months they were released. Heck, Totori hit the number 1 position despite not being mentioned and that was released in the middle of the month.

So I’m willing to give the series, and Tecmo Koei, a little credit on this. They’ll most likely bring the games, they’ll just be really slow on it.

    • Aqua King

I don’t mind waiting, as long as I can get these in a physical copy. I hate that they have all been released as digital only. :/

      • Well, this is where it gets tricky.

I understand a desire for physical copies– heck, I wish that Totori and Meruru plus would’ve been physical if only so they wouldn’t take up so much room, but I also understand financial viability that might be in place here. The Plus games are pretty much low-involvement, because all of the main seller work went into it already.

On the OTHER hand, I could see New Atelier Rorona getting a physical release– or if that isn’t the case, Tecmo Koei trying to swing a cross-buy deal with Sony if they bring over both the PS3 and Vita versions of the game. I think New Rorona may actually require a more full work schedule like Escha & Logy had to localize, since it has a lot more new content, and it’s not a simple transplant like the ports have been. But as a result, they can justify it being financially viable to advertise and put into stores.

Basically, think of it this way, which makes more sense to be physical: A quick “all DLC” portable edition that doesn’t add much (not even new scenarios like the Disgaea games have had, from NIS), or a complete remake of a game that may actually trigger more sales for the series by giving a very perfected version of the first PS3 game?

        • Aqua King

The biggest issue that I have is the amount of space that they take up. Memory cards for the Vita are a joke, and they are expensive. I would not be completely averse to digital copies, if memory cards were larger and/or less expensive. I can honestly say that I would have purchased these games if they were physical copies.

          • Okay yeah I’ll give you that point about the memory cards. At least it’s currently /possible/ to get a 64GB card, on the side of size, but Sony has yet to officially announce those for America. At least you can get them off of Amazon and they’ll work just fine.

But I can understand wanting the physical versions due to the size impact they have. But, just saying, above is probably why they don’t really bother with it.

  • Learii

    wow those are some costumes

  • Prinny Dood

Why can’t we get physical copies doood!?

  • artemisthemp

I hope the West will get this costumes also.

  • Those outfits are really cute. I kind of want this version. ;u;

  • Kumiko Akimoto

Well at least the main character isn’t oddly flat in this one. Flat, bikini and 3d models don’t work out for some reason

  • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

I’d buy it if KT would consider bringing it over here.

  • [S]unjay

Did I just see boobies? Insta-buy.

  • Slayven19

Man those wedding costumes look great, especially linca’s. I guess we’ll get this late this year at the earliest.
