By Ishaan . March 13, 2014 . 3:01pm

A few weeks ago, Comcept shared a short video of Keiji Inafune playing an alpha build of Mighty No. 9. A longer version of this video is now available, and provides a look at Inafune testing out some of Beck’s moves. You can watch this below.

Mighty No. 9 is in development for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. It’s scheduled for launch in April 2015.

  • Kazekage Gaara

    Looking good!

  • Nanaki

    That death animation.

  • Anime10121

Looking freaking fantastic! Though with the dashing and speed and what not, its starting to look a little more X than classic (and I dont have a problem with that at all)! Though I do hope they nerf the absorb thing, as right now, it seems like that’ll be an easy way to kill anything…

    • Captain Levi

Something like “before absorbing things you need to weaken them” would be ok.

      • Anime10121

Yep, but where it currently stands as indicated by the trailer is shoot something once, dash into it, absorb it :/

But I’m extremely hopeful it’ll be more like what you said in the final release…

        • Captain Levi

Maybe you can easly absorb just the lame enemies.
          We’ll see.

        • J_Joestar

Maybe when you get to other stronger enemies you may have to hit them with different weapons or target specific parts to get them into that “stunned” phase that makes them absorb-able.

    • AkuLord3

Well its not like the difficulty of the Megaman games were enemies but the puzzles/platforming and such (especially with different situations and enemies that could screw you over in certain levels) but yeah probably be tweaked and won’t be so easy

  • Chaos_Knight

Inafune: What a sad way to go!

    I cracked up laughing! xD

  • Captain Levi

I hope they will add a sort of “atmosphere” because right now it looks a bit “low” from my view.

Yes, I know that the game is still in development and such things.

    • AkuLord3

Well we haven’t seen other stages besides this one (some concept art background for two other stages…which look like they’ll provide that “atmosphere”.

      • Captain Levi

        I hope so.

For some reason, I’m a bit afraid that the game may be “omitted” in someway.

        Dunno why.

  • Saphiren

I’m getting used to the 3D on this game (I was expecting 2D in the beginning).
    The gameplay seems really cool.

  • Sav

    gonna try this one out.

  • りんごタルト@エスカのアトリエ

Only good thing I see right now is the death animation.

  • Learii

they using xbox one controller not ps3 or ps4

    • TheManWithPants

It’s a black 360 controller. The Xbox One and PS4’s controllers aren’t yet compatible with PC games as of yet, IIRC.

      • Learii

        oh lol

  • s07195

That shooting sound effect… isn’t that the same as Model X or any other inti-creates Rockman game? :0
I particularly clearly remember it in ZXA.

  • Arz

Man, I really like the theme

  • Vash bane

lolz they look like they were having fun

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Looks really nice.^_^ INafking is surely going to deliver this game.^_^
