Here’s A Look At The Final Fantasy Tactics Collaboration In Square Enix’s Lord Of Vermilion III

By Eugene . March 14, 2014 . 12:31pm

Just at the start of the month we noted that card-based arcade game Lord of Vermilion III was getting a crossover with Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. Famitsu have now posted a trailer showing both Ramza Beoulve and Agrias Oaks in action within the game itself kicking ass and taking names.

As you can see, Ramza’s Shout special makes him a one-man army, raising his attack, defense and speed.

Agrias grows to immense size when she slices down with Judgement Blade, which can immobilize enemies and allow her to get to work chopping them down where they stand.

Lord of Vermilion III is out in arcades in Japan.

I would kill for a proper Final Fantasy Tactics 2 on the 3DS and/or Vita.

    • Rafael Martines

Or bring the Android “HD” Updated version to Vita/PS3

      • kmantle

If we are going to deam, why not a full HD remake using the same engine as the War of the Lions cutscenes?

    • I would like to see what’s beyond the Ivalician borders myself, as well. The fate of Ramza and Alma after they leave the nation has been mysterious, and one heck of a cliffhanger, to boot!

    • God

Hell, at this point even A3 would be enough for me!

      • Luis Camargo

God, strike some Lightning on whoever is in charge of Final Fantasy so that he can create FF Tatics 2.

        No, wait……..

        • God

Too Late! LIGHTNING!!!… Oh me what have i done…

  • Kaetsu

It pains me that will never see a proper Tactics game again because a lot of the original and important team members left Squeenix like Yasumi Matsuno and Akihiko Yoshida.

    • Tom_Phoenix

Sadly, that applies to Square Enix’s tactics games in general. Aside from the PSP port of LUCT, Tactics Ogre is gone and so is Front Mission.

    • God

      Maybe it’s better that way…

  • Laura Ribeiro

Really miss FFT. Best FF among the title :(

    • Judgephoenix

It truly was my favorite one :( I remember it being the first game on PS I would play till 2 am as a kid…..All I remember was the control next to my face while I was sleeping XD.

      • Laura Ribeiro

        Hahah It’s still my favourite! I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve played it on ps1… Currently saving for the Millennium edition, as a comfort for not having a sequel ;_;

    • Geomancer

  • Whoa! Ramza’s Shout empowers even me by only hearing it!

  • Zer0faith

I remember watching that epic FF Tactics intro on my PSP and being absolutely stunned by the vibrant imagery and epic music especially since it was the first RPG I EVER played on a handheld.
Yep I lost my RPG virginity to this not Pokémon. That one was the rebound…
Man I feel dirty right now.

I was thinking of how cool it’d be if they added Thunder God Cid, then realized he’d just destroy everything single-handedly. :V
