Destroyer Trillion’s Main Antagonist Actually Has… One Trillion HP

By Sato . March 19, 2014 . 11:33pm

Hyperdimension Neptunia makers Compile Heart recently announced their latest PlayStation Vita RPG called Destroyer Trillion, where a young boy and six demon lord girls will take on the antagonist Trillion. Dengeki gives us a closer look and more details on the upcoming game.

Destroyer Trillion is about the fight against a horrifying existence—Trillion, the ruler of the underworld, who has 1,000,000,000,000 HP. The story begins when the protagonist, the demon lord Zeablos (shown above), loses in a fight against Trillion.

After being defeated by Trillion, Zeablos is saved by the mysterious young girl named Faust, shown in the above image, who makes a deal to give him back his life… but in exchange for his soul.

Since Zeablos is beat up and not in any condition for a rematch, he’ll be getting help from six demon lord girls to take on Trillion. You’ll be training them for the fight and making memories with these girls before they’re sent off for the final fight.

Lucie is one of the six demon lords. She’s full of pride and high-handed. It is said that the six demon lords each have their personalities based on the seven deadly sins. Depending on how you train the six, there will be different events and even alternate endings.

Destroyer Trillion will be released sometime in 2014 for PlayStation Vita.

    Exchange soul?

    Well…Mahou shoujo transformation confirmed then…

    • Sal
      • Landale

        That’s actually very likely.

Look at the site, and the design for Faust in the character page there. The book she’s holding shares some design elements with him, while the soul she holds is also very similar to him; Asymmetrical with a glowing right eye, darker right side. The larger flame, for lack of better words, also matches up to the one horn.

      • DyLaN

“Make a contract with me and become a magical book!”

  • Shady Shariest

    Ohohohoo… Alternative endings?

  • notentirelythere

I’ve waited so long for a game where every character is the devil… who knew this day would come so fast?
Compile -Heart- won MINE with Curry God, and I hope I can vibe with this game and that all the girls aren’t just generic anime trope vessels and are actually off-kilter demonic types.

  • CptPokerface

I’m sorry, but ONE TRILLION HEALTH? Who do they think they are, NIS?

    • Pyrofrost

Disgaea 4’s director is in on this, are you exactly suprised?

      • Jettythesunfish

        That easily explains everything.

      • Kumiko Akimoto

I thought it was already explained that this was a collaboration?

        • Pyrofrost

It seems that article was either missed or forgotten :p

      • CptPokerface

Ah, i didn’t know that. Don’t know a thing about this game but this article in particular stood out and NIS/Disagaea was the first thing to come to mind.

        • Pyrofrost

Hehe, it’s all good mate, I do understand why that was what came to mind. Hopefully it turns out good.

    • Argama

That’s exactly my initial reaction~ xD

    • DyLaN
      • Alter

        definitely over 9000

      • RichyGaming

        Looks easy to beat!

  • That training aspect before going back to the final boss gives me ZHP feels and I approve of that idea~

  • So… it’s a battle of attrition? Okay, that’s admittedly an interesting idea.

  • malek86

I was hoping for something different. How about your character starts with a trillion HPs, but you can’t ever regain health in the course of the game? Something similar to the Prinny game, except in a RPG.

  • Their personalities based on the seven deadly sins is cool. Sounds like it’ll be fun lol

  • hng qtr

    “a young boy”

    ” six demon lord girls”
    Why am I not surprised?

    • Landale

      Because you don’t really care?
Because you didn’t look at what the “young boy” actually looks like?
Because vague descriptions are almost never surprising?

      Did I guess right?

      • hng qtr

“making memories with these girls before they’re sent off for the final fight.”
        Still the same harem setup…

        • Landale

And is there something wrong with that?

          • hng qtr

I guess not. It’s just very cliche in otaku-oriented games.

          • Landale

Maybe so, but it’s one they’ve got a record for handling pretty decently

          • Pyrofrost

This is from Compile Heart and the director of Disgaea 4, so where is the surprise.

Lets just start complaining because the next Senran Kagura games will feature girls with big tits, or because the next Tales game is anime-ish, or because the next Dynasty Warriors is going to be a hack-n-slash.

Just because it’s not your style, doesn’t mean it’s a fault.

          • hng qtr

            “so where is the surprise.”
Err, my first comment was about how it’s not surprising in the least.

          • Pyrofrost

Exactly, which is why I don’t see the point of the complaint.

          • hng qtr

Well, if developers always use the same stereotypes and plot devices it’s only natural for people to get tired of these. Isn’t that the whole reason people complain about bald space marines?

          • Pyrofrost

There is also a mass of people that see big burly space marines as appealing. There is an audience for that. That’s why they keep making it.

          • Aesma

Still… several game titles managed to turn that ‘cliche’ into ‘traits’ that ‘define’ them.

Suikoden, Always 108 recruitable characters, most of them will have your first ‘city’ become your enemy’s main base.

Dynasty Warriors, no need to explain with this one.

Shin Megami Tensei, Law vs Chaos. Neutral being the ‘best’ ending. Demon recruitment and fusion. Demon Summoning Program.

Super Mario Bros, which, just like Dynasty Warriors, doesn’t need to be explained.

Power Rangers, Kamen Riders, and other series have their own set of cliches.

            On a side note:
“developers always use the same stereotypes and plot devices”
Visual Novels, you can always expect there will be characters with certain archetypes, tsundere, little sister/brother, kuudere, deredere and so on.
And yet, each Visual Novels are unique. Because the developers can do the ‘character’ and story correctly. (…though, Da Capo took this up to eleven with the 3 ‘main’ games…)

          • Aesma

What pyrofrost was trying to say is that ‘it’s kind of obvious, there’s no surprise at all there.’

          • Pyrofrost

            Pretty much.

          • Aesma

…in my opinion, looking for an RPG game with no cliche is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

That aside, cliche is fine as long as they handle it correctly. As long as the characters aren’t shallow and the story is fun, I’m alright.

          • Pyrofrost

            >>cliche is fine as long as they handle it correctly

YES! For the love of god, someone gets it. Everything is bathed in cliche, why, because it’s the kind of features a particular audience likes.

The existence of cliches is never a problem, it’s all about the execution of said cliches.

          • Rynnec Zuhac

I’m usually against hetshit harems, but if the MC looks like THAT, then I’ll be okay with a harem in this game.

  • Sentsuizan_93

Alternate endings? Oooh. I’m down for this!

  • Aesma

Beelzebub trying to save the world, with the other Prince(ss) of Sins helping him as his party/harem?
    I support this.
Would be funny if they made references to their original legends or traits.
If it’s localized, I’ll definitely buy it.
…and if Trillion was actually based on YHVH, I will buy it, localized or not. Like playing an harem version of SMT (Where you are Chaos).

    • Landale

Perpell, while not matching up the naming theme directly is visually similar to Belbel, is the Beelzebub equivalent. Zeabolos = Diabolos = Satan. He’s very likely the Wrath out of the seven, not Gluttony.

      • Aesma

Hmm…. I thought the Zeabolos here is referencing to Belzaboul or Bael. Must have missed Perpell.
Oh well… It’s still about Seven Prince(ss) of Sins.

Still, if he is Satan, then I guess he is hot blooded? That should be amusing…

      • Hau To

If you look on the site, all the sins are already named with the characters except Wrath. So that makes sense if he is Wrath.

  • Zer0faith

Sleep mode for breaks to the rescue!

  • only a trillion health? eh, only will take two or so hrs. Needs more challenge.

    • Landale

He’s clearly the final boss. What self respecting final boss has one form? 1 Trillion health is the weak form obviously.

      • DyLaN

IIRC, you train the demon lords until Trillion awakes and you beat it until it hibernates. Rinse and repeat.

Though I expect Trillion to pull several form out later. Can’t be a final boss w/out multiple form am I ryte?

  • fairysun

    1,000,000,000,000 HP ?
And that was not even the final form yet ….

  • Rio Raze

Trillion Health…!!!!!! Ok, challenge accepted… My “wifes”, let’s do this..
    Coming soon in 2014….

  • Göran Isacson

I think I’d like to see a show where Zeablos is the main character… but it’s FAUST who assembles the harem. Like, idk, I just think it’d be a cool twist if it turns out Zeablos couldn’t care less about what the ladies think of him, he just REALLY wants to off Trillion and the other demon lords are just a way to get there. Faust on the other hand wants to weave alliances and gain power from different pacts, so she charms and woos all the demon ladies (and possibly Zeablos if she feels like it/he’s receptive).

    • Rynnec Zuhac

Yes please. Take all of my money.

  • stephane3012

More hp than baal?! How is this possiburu?

  • lackofstyle

does anyone not see “young boy” when we look at this king of the underworld

    • DyLaN

Demon/Supernatural beings analogy! Don’t question them.

      • lackofstyle

i know but his design is so “ultimate final boss looking” its a bit odd

  • persona_yuji

Ok ok…the first few times I saw bosses with ridiculous amounts of HP on NIS games is funny and you laugh at it and then you carry on…but really…1 TRILLION Hp? Its funny the first time around but this is getting ridiculous…
“sees Disgaea 4’s director is involved in this CH game*
    Should have seen that coming

  • Earthjolly

So hows the combat. Disgaea like? or Old school final fanatasy type? or is it a rouge game?

  • Yan Zhao

The real question pertaining the 1 trillion HP….how much damage do you do on average?

  • cloudcaelum

Realy wonder about battle system, SRPG or real time?

  • Hau To

    Wau, Etna has some competition.

  • Testsubject909

Now I wanna see a battle royale with Zetta and Gig involved…

  • Hau To

    Also, no Wrath. :<

    • darke

Clearly the MC is ‘Wrath’ since he’s the one in it for revenge. :)

  • skittles

A demon lord has a soul?

  • Vash bane

Oooooo k wasn’t expecting there to be ….girls….if you know what I mean ( heck I don’t lol) this sounds sort of like that nomad game ( I hanvt played that game fully so…) minus the girls

  • Croix Zapp

    ‘Make memories’…..sure ;D

  • Dan Lieo

Dude is hot… oh wait its compile heart no wonder theres only 1 boy character and all the others look like Lolicon…
