Super Smash Bros For 3DS And Wii U Stages Will Have Interactive Bosses

During the currently ongoing Nintendo Direct presentation for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U, director Masahiro Sakurai revealed that there will be boss characters such as Yellow Devil from Mega Man, as part of the stages.

The Yellow Devil won’t just be a background character, as he’ll have a special feature, where players will have to beat him down, leaving the last player to hit him be invulnerable to his explosion that knocks out all other players.

Sakurai also teased a shadow of Ridley from Metroid who’ll also have a similar boss role for another stage.

Oh, man… I might just go play multiplayer alone just to beat them up XD

  • The Watcher

temporary teamwork for vs knockout reward. very jazzy

  • KingGunblader

I actually wasn’t crazy about this particular idea, although I guess that’s what the “Final Destination” versions are for.

  • I have a feeling this will be total chaos

  • Souffrir

Silly Kirby, the Yellow Devil doesn’t have a special weapon you can copy.

    • xzeldax3

He will just turn into it’s weak point and sit there

  • Bumo?

    Bumo! Bumomomomomo!

  • This is a cool idea, but I was mostly sad when I saw this because it means Ridley will not be playable. :(

  • Yan Zhao

Im very impressed with the attention to detail and how much justice Nintendo is doing to their guest characters. They even incorporated the yellow devil as a strategic gimmick to your advantage too.

  • Kornelious

That actually seems pretty cool, though shouldn’t the main target on the field be our opponent? lol :)

Remember when all stars did that.

    Pepridge Farm does
