We’ve covered all sorts of Wizard of Oz-related games before, but here’s one that slid in under the radar. Ozstone is a quirky little Korean puzzle-based version where the various characters such as Dorothy are defenders of the castle against incoming foes.
You won’t find OzStone on the Android PlayStore, though. This title is to be found so far only on the T Store, Korea’s own app store. While quirky and cute, it’s still very easy to get into. Matching gems will allow heroes such as the Lion and the Tin Man to fight, give you cash or even summon temporary mercenaries to fight on your side. The goal is to survive through the multiple waves of foes and wipe them out before they do your castle in.
There’s also a little bit of dress-up, with character upgrades such as better armors being actively reflected on the 3D characters. Buying better gear is done with in-game gold earned during missions and is probably a necessity in order to beat the large amount of levels. OzStone is split into five lands, each with multiple maps to advance through.
OzStone is out now on T Store.
