That face of everything just according to the keikaku.

    • Göran Isacson

That is the face of a man who has sent so many gamers to their cruel deaths, he’s lost count. As we ordinary mortals do not count the sandwhiches we’ve eaten in our days, so too does he not count the bodies left in his wake. See this face, fellow gamers. See it, tremble, and then Praise the Sun.

  • FivePointedTheStar

Is that the “Excellent” Mr. Burns impression?

  • MaximDualBlade

Oh Miyazaki-san, give us the pleasure of more twisted ideas for games. I hope for more archer Silver Knights, in a straight path without cover, but worse.

    Praise the Sun, Umbasa!

  • Godman

This man just lived my dream, being a director of an awesome game series, then becoming PRESIDENT!!! Kudos

  • rurifan

I’m always sad to see good people promoted into positions where their talent is wasted.

    • revenent hell

If he didn’t want to do it and stay in the game development side he would have said no to the job offer so I am fairly certain he doesn’t consider it a waste of his talent but an opportunity to develop others.

    • Schiller

See it like this, now he got his fingers on every From game. Not just the one he is directing!

  • dahuuuundge

Will Miyazaki still be involved in the game development process or just game production?

    • z_merquise

It’s rare to have the president of a game studio still directly involve in game development.

      • MrRobbyM

Well, there goes the quality that was the Souls games.

      • Shinobikens

Yeah but it’s Miyazaki so he probably will

  • KyoyaHibari

    Awesome sauce!

    demon souls 2 for ps4? =D

  • Francis Ortolan

he just should be apoited ruler of the world.

  • Ann Weschenfeller

It’s always good to see someone who knows about videogames being President of a videogame company for once…Funny how that’s more and more rare to see nowadays.

With that said…since I’ve never played any Dark series games and they’re giving away Dark Souls in June…Should I be scared or its difficulty is just an internet legend?

    • Raul Indries

It’s quite hard. But after you go in some place in the game, you die, but next time you go there you will know how to counterattack. Except for those damn Dark knights! ಥ_ಥ

      • Ann Weschenfeller

So it’s more about memorizing patterns / trial and error than difficulty itself? Sounds fair.

        • Raul Indries

Pretty much, honestly Demons Souls was harder than Dark Souls, but Dark Souls 2 is even harder than Demons Souls, mostly because after you die, and you will die a lot, you lose a bit of your health, and it gets up to 50% of your health, and the items that restore your health back to normal, have a fix number in the game, you can’t buy them over and over again.

          • Raul Indries

My favourite in the series is Dark Souls. I would advise you to play this one, because the controls are better. I like them all, but in case you want to achieve all in game, it’s quite time consuming.

          • Ann Weschenfeller

They’re giving it away with GWG in June so I’ll give it a shot…Wish me luck :P I can’t really get a hold on Demon’s Souls since I don’t own a PS3, sadly…but if I like DS1 I might get the sequel. Anyway, thanks for the answers!

          • Raul Indries

No problem, I’ve played them on consoles. I like the console version of Dark Souls more, but Dark Souls 2 looks far better on PC. Anyway good luck, you will need it. I mean the PC version is called ‘Prepare to die edition’ ಠ_ಠ .

          • 9breaker

Dark Souls 2 I found was easier. Demon’s Souls did about the same thing with the health bit as well as the stone of ephemeral eyes being limited. Honestly you can just use the ring of life protection repair it or just do co-op. Though to each their own.

  • UUDDLRLR BASTART

What a god damn waste of talent… creative geniuses should be put in charge of creative roles not be given dry soulless positions in managment.

    • vincent_vincent

Tell me about it, am happy for him but sad for us.

      • Tarkovsky

Ditto. Oh well, at least we still have one last game to look forward to from him.

    • Brion Valkerion

At the same time, he has more authority to green light games that look good in his eyes.

  • Kelohmello

A very, very, well deserved promotion. The man brought us two of the best games on their respective consoles.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

    He definitely earned it. Congrats

  • MrTyrant

Can I expect a good Armored Core game from him? I hope so. I know I’m being the minority here.

  • Ann Weschenfeller

Am I the only sick demented person that would love seeing a Lost Kingdoms III from them now?

  • *Reads title of article*

    Oh Hell yeah!
