Collect Rupees To Upgrade Weapons In Hyrule Warriors

By Ishaan . May 26, 2014 . 11:31am

Nintendo of America have shared a few additional details on Hyrule Warriors. As previously reported, one of the areas in the game is Hyrule Field, and Nintendo said in a press release it will constitute the very first stage of the game.

New characters with their own moves and weapons will be unlocked by advancing through the game’s story. Along the way, you’ll also collect Rupees and “other useful items” that can be used to upgrade weapons and craft badges that are used to bolster the abilities of each character.

Nintendo say that “most of the stages” in the game will bear a close resemblance to the Dynasty Warriors series, which sounds like there will be other stages that might be different. No details have been provided on this front, though.

Hyrule Warriors will be released in Japan on August 14th. The game doesn’t have a release date in North America and Europe yet.

I would if I could, but collateral damage over the ages has made me a wanted man (in more ways than one)…

I’m expecting a Ken’s Rage and Dynasty Warriors hybrid.

I’m also suspecting that rupee collection act like gems do in the current games.

Just stop talking about it and gimme, Nintendo! I am way more excited for this game than I should be, but whatever, I love Musou and Zelda so I am hyped.

  • SlickRoach

I wonder it it’ll be as repetitive as a Dynasty Warriors game…

    • Tincho Kudos

      • SlickRoach

That’s always my biggest gripe with Dynasty Warriors games. They’re fun at first but mowing through endless waves of mooks starts to take it’s toll.

        • PlayStation4Life12345

I have that same problems too :P. Playing on Hard and Chaos help to make it interesting to me ;). Also trying to unlock the 4th weapons and special Skills could help too.

I really hope there’s a camp like DW8 where you can upgrade areas and talk to random people. Makes the game feel more alive.
