Man At Arms is back with another real life replica of an anime weapon. This time its’ Kirito’s Elucidator from Sword Art Online, and you can see the process of how it was forged in the video below.
These people make some wicked replicas, check out their channel, it’s worth your time… and it’s every cosplayer’s wet dream XD
too bad you can’t take it to cons or you’ll be flagged for possessing a deadly weapon.
True, but still…
It works for private out-of-con photoshoots though ^_^
keep a tight sheathe on xD
I wonder what these people do with the weapons they make. I mean, they could totally make a killing off these by auctioning them off to collectors.
They can’t do that due to copyright issues.
Man that is one freaking awesome replica sword! Makes you think how cool it is that Kirito swings the thing around like a toy :D
Also who knew Nathan was a Sword Art fan :P
Eludicator is one hell of a snazzy sword. They did such a beautiful job on it I almost couldn’t look when they were testing it.
Might be their best work yet. Just makes me tingly as an SAO fan.
I’m so jealous, i would kill for that sword KILL!!
I buy that sword lol
Not a fan of the novel or anime, but that is one sexy sword
It’s amazing that they can do an amazing job for things like this but they screwed up the buster sword
the sword was too heavy so the metal cracked. It happens.
There’s a list of thing wrong with that thing but I will say he made it to big he for some reason he decided to put a long piece of metal in the middle of the “blade” to add an edge horrible paint job and the way he acted I doubt he even wanted to work on it if that was was the case he shouldn’t have even done it
He makes them proportional to scale. So blame advent children if it looks to big.Even if you sculpted in a 3d package and sculpting tool and sent that and texture files to a tiawan 3d printing shop youd still have almost a 4 foot+ sword that weighs over 80 lbs. There are issues with it though I agree. He made a wicked keyblade so i dont think he didnt want to do it.
I still want to see them make Excalibur; they could put a speaker in it that shouts “Fools!” every time the sword is swung x3
Im not a fan of kirito himself or sword art online, but that sword they replicated is badass
My thoughts exactly.
I need it… I must have it… and i WILL steal it…
I have a dream of one day becoming a blacksmith apprentice… at first i will suck, but eventually, due to my masters teachings and sheer dedication, i will manage to make a masterpiece, in order to prove to myself and to the world that i have surpassed my master, i will challange him to a duel wich he will refuse, angry, i will throw his best sword at him and start atacking myself, with no other choice he will start to fight me, but in a very defensive style, my anger will keep rising and my swings and thrusts will become more ferocious, but my master will stick to dodging and parring, he will further provoke me by pointing ou the clear difference in our skills, he will tell me how i have let myself be swallowed by anger and will proceed to disarm me, telling me to go and never come back.
For the next 4 years i will live only for my sword, training day and night, until the moment comes when i finally feel ready for a rematch, i will go back to my master’s only to find out that he passed on from an illness a few weeks ago, filled with regret, anger, and the burning desire for a worhty enemy i will travel the land as a sellsword in search for stronger opponents, but none shall come, until i find a young boy who shows a lot of promise, and take him under my wing, i will train the boy for years and we will both live as sellswords.
Our sparring matches become more even with each winter, and he will soon reach my level, but he lacks motivation… so one day, i notice we are being followed, but remain silent and comment on how he hasn’t been to his hometown for a long time, and we decide that it shall be our next destination, when we arrive he is tired and after a warm meeting with his family, he goes to sleep… but when he wakes up the village is in flames, and i am nowhere to be seen, scared, he will wander around seeing corpses everywhere, at first he refuses to believe it was me, but the only surviving villager tells him of how a foreigner killed everyone and ran away… angered he will spent the next years seeking revenge, and becoming a better swordsman.
Years later, we meet again in the field of battle, he was hired by the local government and i was fighting for the revolution, he is of course not happy to meet me, but ignorant of his feelings i will warmly try to reach him, to wich he unseathes his sword and points it at me, thinking of it nothing more than a single sparring session, i take my sword and we clash for hours… i smile at seeing how my pupil has become stronger, and the match becomes more and more intense by the second, i soon realise he has surpassed me, and in the excitement of battle i forget everything, and go with killing intent on my eyes… but the next moment everything turns red, i feel myself being impaled and my pupil yelling some words i can’t quite make out as i fade into oblivion…
Seeing his revenge fulfilled, he falls to the ground and breaks into tears of happiness, but this will not last long… a malevolent stranger appears in front of me, he tells him how he saw and heard everything, and tells him i was not responsible for what happened to his town, that i had been suffering from amnesia for the past few years, and it all started when i took a hit in the head trying to save his village from some assasins sent to kill the mayor and burn the village, and how i had falled into the river and survived only by luck… my pupil asks him how he knows all this, and he says it’s simple, as he was the one who burned the village. Deep into despair the tears of joy from my student become tears of sorrow, and unable to go on, he commits sepukku…
Was this in any way related to the post? No. Was there a reason behind my enormous rambling? Just felt like it. Here, have some potatoes for your troubles.
um if you had amnesia after trying to save the village and falling in the river, how would you have remembered your pupil, let alone warmly greet him,
You know people can recover from Amnesia, don’t you? Maybe i should have specified it however.
just figured if you were going to take the time to write a short in the spotlight of the internet you would be more protective of potential plot holes.
It’s not a plot hole when it has an easy explanation and doesn’t contradict anything else, but i will keep it mind for future reference.
been requesting him make a Lizard Clan Gride (Suikoden 3.)
Still waiting for him to make the rathalos katana (monster hunter)
Maybe he should forge Travis’ ‘sword’ from No More Heroes. :D
No way around it, the awesome guy’s TRUE test will always be… Gatsu’s Dragonslayer! XD
Mmm now that I think about it, one of the grigori weapons would be SUPER cool, like Dragon’s Bite for instance, or the Dragon’s Dogma itself.
A sword i doubt he could create *the Gunblade from FFVIII*
Why? He would probably need some help if he wants to make it functional however, since i doubt he knows how to make guns.
I wish he could make a replica of Elsydeon from Phantasy Star IV.
It would be awesome if they made the Dark Repulser next week so we have the pair. lol
Extra points if we see someone actually using them, a a black longcoat is optional.
It would be awesome if they made swords from Fate/Stay Night, XP.
