If that trailer for Kirby Fighters Z looks familiar that’s because it’s one the modes in Kirby Triple Deluxe. Nintendo is spinning off Kirby Fighters into a downloadable 3DS game with extra stages and Dyna Blade is in one of them.

DeDeDe’s Drum Dash is also getting a mini game version too with more songs from other Kirby games and fourteen total playable stages.

DeDeDe’s Drum Dash Z and Kirby Fighters Z will comes out in Japan on July 23 and will cost 750 yen each. For more about these extra modes and Kirby Triple Deluxe check out our playtest.

Oh, well I know what I’m saving room for on my 3ds.
There’s no way this won’t come to the west.

  • Can anyone clarify what that sort of boss mode is where you can play with another player? If theres a co-op mode of that where you can play with another player I’d be excited.

Also, what’s with the Beetle and Bell ability casually mentioned at the end? Is that now in the fighting game or what?

    • LexKitteh

It seems so, he says if you have Kirby Triple Deluxe, Bell and Beetle can also be used.

Pray it won’t take too many blocks out of the storage.

It’s not like buying memory cards for the 3DS costs an arm and a leg, though. So I don’t see how storage is a problem. An 8GB SD will get you plenty.

  • Bunzi

    Japanese Kirby’s already hardcore.

  • PowerSerg

This feels like this should be a patch or be cheaper for people who already bought the game since this mode was really lacking some umph when I was playing triple Deluxe.

  • NintendoPSXTheSecond

I’ll only get Kirby Fighters Z if it allows me to play online. No deal if it’s just local.

That’s good. I returned Triple Deluxe, but I really did miss Kirby Fighters.

    Combo Cannon as an item!

Hopefully, there are more abilities than those 12.

  • FivePointedTheStar

Had me at the headline. These mini-games in KTD are really fun and one could just tell, “There’s so much more they could’ve done with these.” And they have!

No Items, Sword Only, Another Dimension.

    Evo 2015!

I think these games should be available as free to play titles, like Steel Diver Sub Wars. That could attract a larger casual audeince.
