Atelier Shallie’s Heroines Catch Up With Escha

It didn’t take long for one of the protagonists from Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky to make another appearance in the series, as Escha shows up to chat with Shallistera and Shallotte in the latest video for Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea.

The video shows various event scenes from the game, but you can check out the two protagonists talking to Escha, who seems to have longer tail now. Shallistera is shown being a little envious, and wishing that she, too, could get some letters from her hometown.

After Shallote asks, “what kind of relationship do you have with this, so-called co-worker of yours?” Escha embarrassingly responds with, “H-huh!? Why would you ask such a question? Well… just someone I worked with.”

Shallote then teases her about how she looked too happy to get a letter from just “someone she worked with,” but Shallistera seems to not have picked up on it, as she expresses that she would also be just as happy to get a letter from her hometown, which also gave Escha an excuse to agree with, on why she was so happy.

Atelier Shallie: Alchemists in the Dusk Sea is slated for release in Japan on July 17, 2014 for PlayStation 3.

Looks like this Linca might be another sister. She doesn’t sound the same as the others, from before. Which is good i suppose. Nice to see so many old faces in the mix.

    • DyLaN

I think they outright state it in the scene itself that its another Lincas.

Her VA is still the same though (Ami Koshimizu) so that means she did a good job at sounding different.

      • Satoshi Ookami

Ami voices every Linca in the series.

      • CirnoTheStrongest

They did. Shallote called her Linca’s little sister and said she really resembles her.

      • natchu96

And, well, the one in Colseit sucks at paperwork.

      • Ami is awesome! I think it’s actually kind of wacky there being no Marion since Ami and Kana Ueda tend to VA together so frequently.

But yeah, Linca is pretty clear about there being other Lincas, so it’s not the Linca we know.

    • Dashaun Rutledge

Can’t be the same Linca, Marion would be close by, I haven’t seen her yet.

    • Wow Rosemia looks bad ass =^_^=

    • Spectacularity

She’s not final boss, she has some kind of shop in the town.

  • Fronkhead

    Aww…that scene with Escha is making me want to tear up, so adorable ;_;

  • Radprofile

    Ayeshaaaaa where are you!?

    • Spectacularity

She has to be in the game if Keithgriff is in… :( Maybe the ending will have her don’t lose hope yet!!!

      • Isuke-sama

Oh yes, let’s throw another cameo like in the anime. I can only asume that she got caught and put in jail. RIP Ayesha, you will be missed.

        • Spectacularity

Lol let’s keep positive I’m sure she’ll show up, if not then I will be very unsatisfied with this game.

  • Zaig

Wait, “just someone I worked with”… “Worked,” as in not currently coworkers? It’s not “working with”? I swear, if they are no longer alchemist “buddies,” and Logy doesn’t appear at all… >_<

I'd find it hard to believe this game would ignore both Ayesha and Logy, since it's the final in the Dusk Trilogy, but there's this unease. I will be pretty upset. Take responsibility for creating these characters and making fans interested in their fictional lives!

    • CirnoTheStrongest

Gust….are making odd decisions with the Dusk series…the only recurring character in the series has been Wilbell (which I love her a lot, but it’s just really odd that the first protagonist was just thrown to the side ._.)

      • ShinNeoGranzon

You seem to forget that Linca has also been in every Dusk game

        • CirnoTheStrongest

Except she’s not in this one. Her sister is

          • ShinNeoGranzon

Has it been confirmed somewhere that its a sister or are you just assuming? If it has been confirmed, please tell me where.

          • CirnoTheStrongest

In the video. Shallote refers to her as Linca’s sister, and is surprised at how much she resembles the original Linca

      • Bell

It is weird. It kind of reminds me how, in the Arland series, Gio vanished in Atelier Totori, only to be mentioned by Sterk a few times. However, unlike Gio, Ayesha doesn’t seem to be making a return in the third game of her series. I wonder, why is Keithgriff not traveling with her anymore?

        At least we’ve got Wilbell!

  • Tincho Kudos

I want to see Ayesha dammit!

  • Isuke-sama

Threw a random Ayesha’s cameo in the anime just to tease her fans. Then threw the old guy she travelled with in the new game but not Ayesha herself.

    • Jesse

That was part of Nio’s flashback, though, so it made sense to see her there. It wasn’t a “tease”.

      • Isuke-sama

Instead of showing the flashback, they could have just let Nio narrating without showing it. So it’s basically a tease. Was the flashback showed in Escha & Logy? If it wasn’t then they could have gone that way.

        • Jesse

I assume they did it in the anime and not the game because, well, there wasn’t an Ayesha anime(strangely), and was for anyone who didn’t play it who had no idea what her sister looked like. Should have at least said her name, though.

  • SachSach

    Wild Ayesha made her cameo

  • Dashaun Rutledge

Why do I think there’s going to be a fourth.

  • Yamaneko22

I fancy that cheerful chick with green hair *_*

  • Kornelious

Receiving letters from a fellow co0worker eh…..I wonder who that ca-LOGY! please show up! XD

And hold on a second…..Escha’s tail GREW!?…..I don’t know what to think about that….. O_O

  • Mahou Shoujo Kiri

Cute girls, synthezise and beautiful music is what makes this game special. Love all atelier series!

    • Jadfish

The music that plays in the hut in Meruru is still stuck in my head, despite only playing it at a friends for a couple of hours. It’s just so comfy.
I should probably check this series out.

  • MiyuEinzbern

Why does this feel like a reverse Arland series? Ayesha is thrown to the sidebench while others take her spotlight. Ayesha & Nio’s story+reunion was beautiful. Don’t care ’bout you Escha. Nor about your “log” back home and how Gust likes to tease us your relationship. GIVE US AYESHA!!!!! AND SOME YURI WOULD BE A GREAT ADD!! AYESHA! SHALLIE! WILBELL!!!
    -GUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!

  • Bell

Ayesha had better show up. She’s the protagonist who started it all, dammit! I personally wouldn’t be too upset if Logy was sidelined for this game, but her journey was one of the most touching I’ve ever experienced in any form of entertainment and she deserves to make a triumphant return! Even Keithgriff is in the game! I’m surprised that Gust is bringing back and leaving out characters in such a manner. Keith and no Ayesha, Escha and no Logy? I hope that Gust has a reason for doing what they’re doing.

But Wilbell’s always around, so I’m happy. She’s like the Sterk of the Dusk series, stealing the spotlight wherever she goes.
