    No freaking way!!!!??

  • hng qtr

“Sheik has been confirmed as a playable character ”
    Surprising absolutely no one…
Ruto, on the other hand, was someone I wasn’t expecting. But I guess after Agitha anything goes.

    • JaidynReiman

      I expected Ruto. :P

  • ivanchu77

Holy shit, Ruto! <3 , what a unexpected and awesome addition.

Can´t wait to see how a new gen model of her looks

    • Shippoyasha

She better be as nude as ever.

    • JaidynReiman

I actually expected both Ruto and Darunia. Sheik I wasn’t sure about, I figured Sheik would just be a costume for Zelda, but turns out I was wrong about Sheik.

      • MagcargoMan

Costume? But Sheik with Zelda’s stance and weapons would be weird.

        • JaidynReiman

          Yeah I suppose. :P

  • https://twitter.com/Onyzora Ony

    “Link and his b*ches”

    And Darunia.

    :D

  • Namuro

    Nice, even more characters!

I want to see Ruto now!

Also, who lets Darunia in? No more male allowed! Get out!!

    • AkuLord3

      Bros before…lovely ladies~

    • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

In harem, the rule is that the only men allowed are those that also desire to be with the main character. So Darunia was an obvious choice.

  • Ultimaniacx4

    Groose! Groose! Groose!

    • Evil-Antho

this, and have him use the almighty groosinator!

      • JaidynReiman

Unfortunately, the Groosenator was already shown as part of the Sealed Grounds map… maybe he’ll still be playable? I dunno…

        • Evil-Antho

in that case I hope we can sue the groosenator in some way! quite frankly I really am just hoping Nayru and Groose make it in the game and that the villains also get to be playable so we could get Vaati too.

and god knows Tingle is gonna be playable @.@

        • Evil-Antho

right now I’m just praying to god we can get Nayru.
and all my dreams will come true if we also get Groose, the old man from zelda 1
and Ezlo or the king of all red boats.
if any of these are announced, I will proceed to repeatedly throw my wallet at the screen until something happens.

    • anthony apduhan

Yeah this game needs interesting males especially even him…

      • Stephen Mc Devitt

Like the mood whiplashing Zant and the creepy Ghirahim, who’s basically after Link in a foe yay fashion.

    • PreyMantis

I say Alfonzo, the “Legendary Swordsman,” should be on there.

  • AkuLord3

Now just some Wind Waker characters and we’re sorta good

    • Krisi92

No, what about Majora’s Mask characters? I mean, even adding Darmani and Mikau over Darunia and Ruto would’ve made a lot more sense.

Oh, and I’d like to see characters from 2D Zelda games as well.

      • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

Considering their relationship with Link, both Darunia and Ruto make a lot more sense in a harem game. Yeah, I’m sorry, but this is a harem game.

        • Krisi92

          That’s… kinda true. :D
But still, Darmani and Mikau are actual fighters, the Goron and the Zora whose power Link uses in MM.

          • anthony apduhan

            Skull Kid then…

          • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

I don’t think they were actual fighters, but maybe they could have the Masks return as a weapon for Link like the Power Gloves.

      • Göran Isacson

What’s to say that Darunia and Ruto can’t simply use Darmani and Mikau’s powers?

yeah, this was pretty much what I thought was going to happen once I realized each character has three different weapons and powersets. If each character would just have one powerset they might include different characters from other, non-Hylian races and make them all feel unique, but as things are what they are it only makes sense they’ll include the most popular characters from these races and give them the move-sets from different heroes. Less clonage in the character roster, then.

        • JaidynReiman

This is my bet. I’m thinking Ruto will use a Harp as one weapon, and perhaps fins as another. Darunia will probably use knuckles (like Darmani) and the Megaton Hammer.

          • Suicunesol

I’m thinking Ruto will call King Jabu Jabu to swallow enemies whole.

    • anthony apduhan

      How about Tetra?

      • MagcargoMan

Bleh. Bring on Midna and Salvatore!

  • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

I JUST got over the hype of the Power Glove trailer, but now we get THREE new characters! I feel like I was hit with a hype meteorite. My body can’t keep up. (One day, this meme will no longer be funny and become overused…)

    • Princess_Eevee9

Hopefully another month or so can prepare us!

      • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

With 3 new characters to put in trailer form, we won’t get a month. I’m willing to bet we’ll get the Sheik one in roughly a week alone.

        • Princess_Eevee9

Bet we get Ruto before them both.

          • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

I’m betting on Sheik because Sheik is the focus of that scan above. If more scans show up where all 3 get just as much focus, then I’m stumped as to who gets their trailer first.

          • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

Well, I don’t know who get’s their trailer first, but the first footage goes to Darunia. Comic Con is here and IGN have tried him out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHOOdOCSllI

          • Princess_Eevee9

Nintendo just released a trailer for all three characters. https://youtube.com/watch?v=2c8EEXL3L8c

          • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

Well, there you go. Even better! ^_^

          • Princess_Eevee9

Yeah hype is through the roof for this game!

          • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

Hype? I’m way beyond that. I’m so hyped up for this and Smash Bros. that I don’t even care if I get Dragon Age Inquisition, Assassin’s Creed Unity, Destiny and whatever else comes out this year that are must haves.

          • Princess_Eevee9

Transcending through hype oh my though I’m with you on that front!

  • 3PointDecoupage

So Darunias pretty much the first guy in it besides Link?

  • David García Abril

    Sheik, huh?

So, is it the “male” OOT version of the “female” SSB.Brawl version?

I guess we need to wait for bigger scans to find out. Albeit Zelda has it more difficult this time around to hide her… ahem! “female features”.

    • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

This the Ocarina of Time set

    • Merchiodos

It looks like Brawl Shiek, but without the ponytail. As to which gender Sheik is, they would go with male as that what Zelda was trying to be when she was Sheik

  • Fub Frank

Definitely excited about Sheik, even though I suspected the character would make an appearance anyway. This game is probably why I will get a Wii-U.

  • Göran Isacson

On the one hand- AWWWW YIISSS BEST BRO DARUNIA AND BOSS BASS BITCH RUTO RAISE THE ROOF etc.

On the other hand, a second Sheika over Nabooru?

Now I’m not gonna rustle my jimmes TOO much over this since it may well be the case there will be more characters from Ocarina of Time and they just want to reveal these three first… but seriously, if they had the option to include Nabooru and chose Sheik over her, whose moveset could have just gone to Impa? There Will Be Nerdrage, ladies and gentlemen. There will be nerdrage.

    • JaidynReiman

I think Nabooru and Saria might still be in. At this point, I think I’ve figured out that the roster will be 15 heroes and 7-8 villains (depends on how many boss monsters are displayed on the site).

The E3 character select screen only has 9 slots, and there’s just enough room for one column of 6. That’s 15 characters. On the website, the heroes side is divisible by 3. We have 10 characters now, so we know we’ve got more than 9, and ten characters doesn’t fit evenly, but 15 does.

Nabooru could potentially be marked as a villain, as well. She wasn’t really that villainous, but its possible here she’s working for Ganondorf most of the time, but will join the heroes before the other villains do. Unlikely, but possible.

      • zferolie

I don’t think we will only have 15 heroes. And you can’t base it just off demo character screens. look at the smash bros character screens. They can easily expand it or add extra pages.

I still am hoping for Nabooru and Malon from OoT. Saria would be interesting though wonder how they will make her playable. Ocarnia and Sling shot?

        • JaidynReiman

I want to believe there’s more, I just don’t think its likely at this point. The roster will likely be divided by three, because that’s how many columns there are of heroes. On the roster, there’s room for one more row, MAYBE two rows, but that’s pushing it.

          They’d likely go up by one character per row, so 4 > 5 > 6 > 7.

This would actually perfectly fit 15 heroes and 7 villains (we have five known human-sized Villains, plus Ganondorf; if we add the final likely candidate, Skull Kid, that makes seven).

Warriors games increase in roster size every game. The initial games always have smaller rosters. So many assets are being reused for this game, so that is probably what would allow us to have a roster of 15 heroes and 7 villains.

22 is actually a fairly high number for a starting Warriors game. I’d like to believe there is more, but I don’t think so at this point.

          • zferolie

this is assuming they make this a continuing series, which is possible I imagine. I guess I just wanted this to be it’s own stand alone game and not hope for a sequel which may never come.

          • JaidynReiman

If its popular enough, it may come.

      • Göran Isacson

Eh, maybe. Though if the characters from the different games are their actual canon counterparts as it seems to be, judging from some of the comments, I think Nabooru will already know Ganondorf is up to no good and won’t join him unless brainwashed. Still, hope that isn’t a factor, I would like to be able to play as her as quickly as possible.

  • leingod

    Well, I guess it’s no longer “Link and his b*****s” … there’s a guy there :P

    • 3PointDecoupage

      Tch
      Darunias his bottom dollar bitch.

  • Stephen Mc Devitt

A playable goron? Oooooh! Sounds like fun!

So this WILL go beyond the initial 9 roster slots.

Now let’s hope for Groose, Tingle, Zant, Ghirahim, Ganondorf, Cia, Wizro and Valga become playable characters too.

    • JaidynReiman

I think the villains will be playable… and I’m betting Skull Kid is the final villain.

  • itsameluigi1290

Alright, now we’ve got two more boy characters in addition to Ruto!

    Oh wait.

    • SakuStar Light

lol <.< yeah catch yourself remember shadow hyrule waifu XD

  • http://LevelUpGeneration.blogspot.com/ KALiverin

I’m not the only one who thinks Maple should get a playable spot, am I?

  • Fidelis

I’m actually surprised that it took this long to announce Sheik.

  • Princess_Eevee9

Well now that there’s another male maybe people will stop complaining. And the female to male ratio still heavily outranks the males so can still be a harem game.

    • JaidynReiman

I’m thinking we’ve still got 5 characters left, both the website and roster fit 15 perfectly. I’d guess about 3 more male characters and 2 more females (the two females being Saria and either Malon or Nabooru).

      • zferolie

i thought they said there were going to be over 50… unless that was a mis translation.

I doubt they are going to only represent 3 other zelda games. They still have WW and MM if they only do 3D zeldas.

Plus, I am assuming all the villains are playable as well.

        • JaidynReiman

That was fan speculation. Fifty is WAY overboard, its not going to happen in a first version of a Warriors game series.

And I think they will represent only four Zelda games, because Wind Waker characters would have to be redesigned. It also helps that Zelda is using the Wind Waker as a weapon, so I think a WW character is out. Although and MM character is still entirely plausible.

Sorry, when I said 5 characters left, I meant hero characters. I do think villains are playable, and there are probably two villains left; Skull Kid and Ganondorf.

          • zferolie

I don’t think they need to redisign Wind Waker characters. They do have Fi who looks like she did in that game, as does the villain i can never spell his name.Plus they have us able to use the Link and Zelda Designs from SS, so I can see WW fitting. It may look a bit out of place, but this is a game about fusing worlds, so it would make sense that a world with a different look then they are used to gets fused into it. Plus I just want Tetra and hear some redesigned WW music.

But MM is almost a shoe in now. With the moon showing up and all the MM teasing and fan requests, they would be silly not to put it in

          • kaimo

Skyward Sword’s characters look like twilight princess characters with a different shader. wind waker’s art style is much further removed from it; unless we want a space jam effect, they’d have to be redesigned to fit in.

          • zferolie

i wouldn’t mind terribly a space jam effect… well.. not too much

          • J_Joestar

Actually, IIRC Aonuma said “52 different play styles” which probably refers closer to weapon count than actual raw character count.

          • JaidynReiman

Are you sure? Because that would give us a good general count of the number of characters.

Link has four playstyles, but most other characters have two. I’d also bet that Villains only have one each, except Ganondorf who probably has 2-4.

            Link, Ganondorf – 8
            9 other characters known 2 weapons each – 18, 26 total
            5 other known villains – 5, 31 total

I’d bet on one more villain for sure, that’s 32.

And 10 more heroes to make 52.

            hmm… maybe not quite that.
            Let’s go back to 32.

            8 more playable heroes – 16, 48 total

            4 more villains – 4, 52

Just a guess. Its possible all villains might have two play styles, which would completely throw off my speculation, but I don’t see villains other than Ganondorf having more than one weapon.

            EDIT:
            This estimate would be:

            10 heroes + estimated 8 more, 18 total.
            6 villains + estimated 4 more, 10 total.

            That’s 28 characters.

            EDIT 2:
My math is crap. Hang on.

            Let’s go with:

            Link – 4 weapons
            20 other heroes – 2 weapons each, 44 total
            Ganondorf – 2 weapons, 46 total
            6 other villains – 1 weapon, 52 total

          • J_Joestar

it was supposed to have been mentioned in the treehouse live for HW, but i can’t really double check it at the moment.

          • zferolie

I actually found the 52 quote. it was from nintendo tree house.

When asked about the number of playable characters, Aonuma stated there would be “a total of 52 different play styles.”

I go more into this in a new thread

          • JaidynReiman

I’ve actually read that not every chararacter will have multiple weapons, which may mean not every hero, either… which may additional mean even more than my initial estimate in the other thread. :P

          • zferolie

yeah i can’t see Midna or Fi having multiple weapons honestly. So I think we can assume we will get a good sized roster with with other playstyles.

      • Princess_Eevee9

I’m going for the”In my dreams hopes”and saying we get as many playable characters that Melee had. Dunno why.

  • Tincho Kudos

Yay! More than 9 characters. This is shaping really good, I’m glad I was not let down since the annoucement.

    • Princess_Eevee9

      Same here!

    • JaidynReiman

At this point I’m thinking 15. The E3 demo isn’t likely to change in size, but only one more row can fit. If they reduced the third row by one, that’d be 13 characters. I don’t think its likely as the website’s hero roster is divisible by 3, and six fits the fourth row just fine, which makes 15, perfect for both the website and CSS.

My guess is two more villains. Either Skull Kid or Nabooru and Ganondorf. Skull Kid or Nabooru can be on either the heroes or the villains side, and both would probably betray the villains early on anyway. Skull Kid is more of a villain than Nabooru, but Nabooru would add another female to the Villains side and Skull Kid a male to the heroes side.

The rest of the heroes would probably be Saria, Gaepora, Groose, Tingle, and either Nabooru or Skull Kid (although frankly, I’d be content if Tingle wasn’t playable). Potentially we could have Malon instead of Nabooru, though, I’m not sure what Nabooru could do that isn’t already represented by another character; the main Gerudo weapons are katanas (Zant uses them) and spears/lances (Valga uses them).

Malon could be a mounted unit with a whip and Saria could use nature-based magic (yeah, I know she’s never used it before, but Forest Sage… and none of the other characters in the game have ever fought before except Link anyway).

      • Tincho Kudos

Ganon is a given at this point. And probably Cia and his minions (don’t remember their names) will be playable.
As for other characters, I don’t know, maybe Terra (altough the roster don’t need more “zeldas”) , Saria would be nice, but I really want some characters from 2D Zelda games

        • JaidynReiman

I’d like some 2D characters as well.. I just don’t see it happening. At max, maybe Vaati.

  • SakuStar Light

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. <.< see you all got another guy even tho hes a goron.

    • JaidynReiman

I’m guessing we’ll have about 3 more hero males coming up.

      • SakuStar Light

well it depends i mean it is team ninja. XD

        • JaidynReiman

Team Ninja is barely doing anything on the game, though. Its the other team that’s the main developer.

          • SakuStar Light

no no what i mean is the joke around it. DOA-5 is only coming out with female DLC and this game is really only introducing female cast is what i mean.

          • JaidynReiman

            ok

  • MagcargoMan

I can understand people wanting Mikau instead of Ruto, but people wanting Darmani over Darunia? The guy who got killed by being blown off a cliff rather than the Goron Chief? Really?

    • JaidynReiman

Yeah, agreed. Darunia makes far more sense. Ruto I figured would get in over Darunia as well, Ruto and Darunia are the most notable Zora and Goron characters in the series, even if Mikau is “cooler.” (Doesn’t help that Mikau dies five seconds after you meet him. Literally.)

    • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

I know the feeling. Mikau and Darmani are barely seen and don’t really accomplish anything in their game while both Ruto and Darunia are leaders of their respective tribes and Sages themselves along with plenty of story. Hell, both Ruto and Darunia even fit the harem going on in this game quite well. I understand wanting a nobody over a somebody, but Darunia and Ruto fit really well into this game and are great additions to the roster.

      • Suicunesol

What are you talking about man? Darmani and Mikau are major characters in their respective games, if not alive, then as “mask” characters. You play as both of them throughout the entire game.

        • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

Major characters or not, it doesn’t hide the fact that Mikau and Darmani are hardly seen and do anything in the game themselves. Yeah, they live on through the masks, but who do you think wears those masks? Or would you rather play as a Goron ghost over a living Goron tribe leader? If Mikau and Darmani make it in, I’d rather have them as Mask weapons for Link.

  • fairysun

Finally, Link has some competition in his Kingdom of Harem……. or not.

    • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

Of course not. Everyone knows Darunia wants a piece of Link. It’s still harem all the way.

  • DeadLineDance

Wait, so if Zelda is already present… does this mean Sheik is his own character?!
…oh, wait, cross-world shenanigans, probably not. (Meaning we’d have two Zeldas present? What?)

    • JaidynReiman

I’m betting that Sheik is either Zelda’s long-lost sibling, Zelda in a separate slot, or Zelda from another time period.

      • DeadLineDance

Yeah, I’m betting on the last one. Which is too bad, making Sheik his own character would be pretty cool…

        • JaidynReiman

I think it’d be a neat twist if it turns out this time Sheik actually IS male, and is Zelda’s long-lost brother or something. :D

  • DivinePhoenix69

Hyped for Darunia and Ruto though while Sheik was kinda expected it’s still great to see her officially confirmed nonetheless.

  • David García Abril

    Something just crossed my mind.

Would it be possible that Darunia’s weapon could be the Megaton Hammer?

Because that would be frigging awesome!

Remember, that hammer was used generations prior OOT by a Darunia’s ancestor to slay Volvagia. He would be his rightful wielder! :)

    • DeadLineDance

      Best idea? Best idea.

    • JaidynReiman

I’d be surprised if Darunia’s default weapon ISN’T the Megaton Hammer.

      • MagcargoMan

        Hammer confirmed!

  • Yan Zhao

Darunia was expected by me. Need more powerhouse good guys.

Wonder if Saria will be playable. Also hoping for adult Malon or Cremia. Still crossing my finger on the 3 triforce goddesses from the Oracles series.

    • JaidynReiman

I’m not thinking the Goddesses will be playable. I did expect Darunia, but I am still hoping Saria is playable. I do think there are five hero characters left (15 fits perfectly on both the website and the CSS, they’d need to add one more row of six, so its 4 > 5 > 6 on the character select screen).

REALLY hoping Saria is playable, she’s my favorite Zelda character. :P

      • MagcargoMan

I think he meant the three characters in the Oracle games who were named after the Goddesses, not the actual three goddesses.

        • JaidynReiman

I know what he meant. They are basically the Goddesses anyway. I just don’t think they are likely at this point.

  • kaimo

This was shaping up to be a tribute to Twilight Princess and absolutely nothing else; so this is refreshing, if just as safe. Hopefully they’ll Show the Baton Waker some love soon; it’s the only 3D Zelda without any real representation. Majora’s Mask is probably a bigger priority, but I don’t see anyone but Skull Kid getting in since he’s all the general public remembers about that game besides the moon.

I would have loved to see Tetra reimagined in the musou style, but that would mean three different versions of Zelda would be on the roster. I can’t think of anyone else viable, but if Agitha is any indication, whether or not a character makes sense isn’t an issue.

    • JaidynReiman

What do you mean a tribute to Twilight Princess? We’ve got two playable characters from Twilight Princess and one villain, one playable character from Skyward Sword and one villain, THREE playable characters from Ocarina of Time and no known villains as well…

We’ve got more OOT characters than any game right now, and I’m betting there’s still a few other OOT characters we’re missing. We’ve probably got at most one more TP character left.

Now, when I write off these numbers, I’m referring to characters exclusive to those games. Ganondorf is a villain in multiple games, not just OOT.

      • kaimo

We didn’t know that until today.
When we thought there were only going to be nine characters and seven were already revealed, there wasn’t much room to tip the scales. With the new reveal however, they are likely to balance more.

Also I feel bad for anyone who liked skyward sword; their only playable rep is the most universally hated Zelda character since Tingle.

        • JaidynReiman

I think Groose is still likely, but to be fair, there really weren’t that many good picks from Skyward Sword anyway. Also, pretty sure the villains are playable.

          • kaimo

Given the musou tradition, they really ought to be.

          • JaidynReiman

            My thoughts exactly.

          • kaimo

oh great, i just remembered that Tingle is actually very popular in japan, so he might get in over someone from the Wind Waker or Link Between Worlds

          • MagcargoMan

Just because Tingle’s annoying in actual Zelda games doesn’t mean he’d make a bad playable character.

          • zferolie

Tingle will most likely represent Majora’s Mask since that was his first game. And I wouldn’t mind him being in. Yes he is annoying but funny annoying.

          • MagcargoMan

I think Tingle would count as a recurring character like Impa does.

          • zferolie

true, but you can have him be used as a Majora’s Mask rep as well.

          • JaidynReiman

The likelihood of anyone from Link Between Worlds getting in is extremely unlikely because the games were in development simultaneously. I don’t think we’ll get characters from any 2D games in this title, really.

As for Wind Waker, well, Tingle WAS in Wind Waker, but I don’t think we’ll get WW representation in this game. Maybe a sequel if one is made.

          • Suicunesol

I think it’s very likely that we’ll get someone from Link Between Worlds. Why? Because Link Between Worlds is a recent game and, as such, has a freshly exploitable fan base that might pick up the game if their favorite character is in it.

There must be some 2D Zelda characters in the title. 2D is where Zelda got started and really entered its golden years in terms of reputation. If this truly is a Zelda love-letter, they MUST include characters from Link To the Past (at least!)

          • JaidynReiman

Sorry, but the fact is that Link Between Worlds was already in development. I don’t think we’ll get anything from it at all. A Link to the Past? Maybe. However, all the characters announced are 3D characters so far who could have the models ripped out of the 3D games and tweaked to fit.

          • Suicunesol

Not really. Link and Zelda have new models. So does Impa. Lana is brand new. Cia is brand new. Valga is brand new. I’m betting Sheik, Darunia, and Ruto will be getting brand-new (or almost brand-new) models because the originals are so old and blocky (from 1998!)

The current Zelda model could be rehauled to look like Hilda.

I know there are some reused assets, but they can’t be so cheap so as to not produce new models when they need to. >_>

    • JaidynReiman

Sorry, I only just realized you said “This WAS shaping up to be a tribute to Twilight Princess.” :P

On that note, though, I think its been confirmed now that only the worlds of “Twilight Princess,” “Skyward Sword,” and “Ocarina of Time” will be represented. Granted, Majora’s Mask is still technically around the time period of OOT, so MM could still get some representation. Otherwise it would appear that references to other games will just be references, weapons, and items; the only enemies, playable characters, and stages will be from the non-WW 3D Zelda’s it seems.

  • Twilleppac

Gah, the Goron rep should have been Darmani, but maybe he’ll still make it in.

    • MagcargoMan

Why? He didn’t do anything besides die by falling off a cliff and have his soul power one of Link’s masks. Darunia is the Goron Chief!

      • Suicunesol

Darmani is the Goron Hero. You play as him for much of the game. He has a 3-combo punch. He’s a champion in the Goron races.

It’s Darunia who doesn’t do anything except beat his chest and dance to Saria’s Song.

        • MagcargoMan

Actually it’s implied he went to fight Volvagia at some point.

And no. Darmani did not do any of that. Link did that by taking his powers with the mask. The actual Darmani never did that.

          • Suicunesol

I’ll give you that. It was implied Darunia attempted to battle with Volvagia.

            But come on:

“This feels strange for me to say, but when I was alive, I was a renowned warrior and veteran.” -Darmani

“…You used to like racing more than you liked gobbling up a third helping of rock sirloin…” — Goron Elder’s Son

You talk as though he never lived and never raced. D: Or just fell off the cliff like a fool. There was a giant Goron causing that blizzard, and Link would have suffered the same fate were he not the protagonist.

          • MagcargoMan

“You talk as though he never lived and never raced”

I know, I’m sorry. It’s just that out of the two, we saw Darunia more. And you never know, if the Happy Mask Salesman is playable one of his moves may involve the Goron mask.

  • zferolie

It seems like every week or so they unveil a new zelda game being reped with characters. This week it’s OoT. Good choices. I guessed Shiek and Darunia but Ruto was a surprise. I still hope we get Malon on horse back and bow and Nabooru with twin curved swords. And I am Assuming Ganondorf and the witch sisters will be the villians to rep this game(with the witch sisters transforming into Twinova as a musou.

I am still beleiving that they will try to get at least 2-3 reps per zelda game(not counting playable villains, and I know some will be). I don’t think Fi will be the only Skyward sword character. I assume Groose will show up. And give Impa a SS impa costume.

I am pretty sure we will get some Wind waker and Majora’s mask characters as well. we are at least getting all the 3D games in this one. in Wind waker I see us getting at least tetra and Medli. For Majora’s mask I see Tingle, the Deku Butler, and Fierce Deity Link at least.

I do hope we get some top down zelda coverage as well. The oracles from the oracle games, your animal companions, the old man in the cave in the first zelda, Ravio and Irene from A link Between worlds, Linebeck from Phantom hourglass, and others.

I would also like to so some other random characters, Like Anju who fights with Cucuus. or the great fairy from WW that fights with all the fairies.

    • JaidynReiman

2D and cel-shaded Zelda games are highly unlikely to get repped in this game. Maybe if there’s a sequel. I do think Groose is still likely from SS.

Nabooru? Possibly. However, Ganondorf can basically do anything Nabooru can and more, and villains mostlikely are playable (except the bosses). I’m still betting on Saria.

      • zferolie

A man can hope and dream. haha. I always want more.

I guess I just really want a Gerudo. i would be fine not having her. I do want Malon and Epona much more though. they are staples of the series. Saria is a possibility

        • JaidynReiman

Yeah, I think Saria and Malon are more likely than Nabooru, but if they made Nabooru a villain (highly unlikely) she might still be possible.

          • zferolie

i doubt she would be a villain, unless they have her brainwashed like in the game. Best villain choices are the witch twins and ganondorf for sure. We know ganondorf is coming and we know he and other villains are going to be playable thanks to the Power DLC that hasn’t been shown yet, most liking for Ganondorf giving him his Twilight princess look and a Demise Look.

Also see he having 3 fighting styles. OoT brawler mage style, TP/Demise 1 sword magic style, and also twin sword wind waker style.

          • JaidynReiman

Yeah, agreed. And that’s also the problem; Ganondorf’s WW style is based very much like how Gerudo fight (Zant uses twin katanas but he fights completely differently), and if villains are playable, there’s nothing particularly unique Nabooru can do.

I would like all seven OOT Sages, but I don’t think its likely we’ll get all seven in this game unfortunately… I figured we’d at least get Saria, Darunia, and Ruto in addition to Impa and Zelda, though. (Technically it could be argued that the Sage here is really Sheik and not Zelda, but we don’t know Sheik’s role.)

I still think that all characters who aren’t strictly time-based will just be new versions of the existing characters. Namely Agitha, Darunia, Ruto, etc. Fi and Ghirahim are the only ones that are probably from a different time period.

          • zferolie

That is true, I would rather have Ganondorf fight wind waker style then have Nabooru in. A cameo may be nice though.

all 7 would be a bit much. I think Ruto and Darunia are a must because they also show off different races. Saria would be nice too. Impa should just be a costume for Impa. Malon while not a sage really should be in to rep Epona as well. the 2 are such a huge name in the zelda series.

If they are from a different world then they have to be from a different time period.

          • MagcargoMan

Wind Waker fighting-style Ganondorf would be a bit redundant since we’ve got Zant duel-wielding scimitars. And since bosses in Warriors games are usually playable…

          • JaidynReiman

Zant’s fighting style is nothing like Ganondorf’s WW style, though. They fight completely differently. Ganondorf’s WW style is closer to Gerudo warriors from OOT and MM than anything.

          • MagcargoMan

I think Nabooru would be better for that than Ganondorf. Ganondorf would be better off with a moveset that involves a big sword and lots of dark magic attacks.

          • JaidynReiman

In theory, though, Ganondorf could have all of them…

Either way, it all depends. If villains don’t count for restricting weapons from heroes, Nabooru could have both “spear” and “twin scimitar” weapons. (However, Valga does use a spear in battle. I dunno, maybe they’ll call one a “Lance” and one a “Spear” to differentiate them…)

          • J_Joestar

Even if they use the same basic weapon, their individual fighting style could still be fairly different.

          • JaidynReiman

Again, I think the only characters who will be from different time periods are characters who are time-period locked like Fi. The game is a mesh of Zelda in general. Impa might get an OOT costume, but either way, I’d say the characters are probably the same.

Malon would be a nice addition, and the thing is, Malon HAS appeared in more games. In fact, she’s the most recurring side character in the series (unless you count Tingle as a side character).

Keep in mind, Link is said to be able to communicate with fairies. What does that remind you of? I think Link may have the same backstory as in OOT in this game, where he was the son of a Hylian Knight raised with the Kokiri. We also haven’t seen a forest area yet…

I think Saria is definitely in.

          • zferolie

But don’t we already know Link’s back story? He is a recruit for the hylann army and is friends with Zelda. I don’t think he is a Koroki as well

          • JaidynReiman

Link was never a Kokiri. And no, we don’t know Link’s backstory and he’s not friends with Zelda. In fact, Zelda doesn’t even recognize him when he first appears. Didn’t you watch the E3 demos?

Link being a recruit means nothing. He has the ability to communicate with fairies. Its just as likely that Link started off with the Kokiri, left when he became too old, wandered around for a while and eventually ended up in Hyrule, where he joined the army.

          • zferolie

The only demo I really watched was the Midna one. I saw bits and pieces of others, but I couldn’t see the dialog.

I do suppose that is still possible.

          • MagcargoMan

            What would Rauru do?

          • JaidynReiman

I have no idea, but some form of Light Magic for sure. Perhaps he can be based on Agahnim. :D (I still think its quite possible that Gaepora may be playable rather than Rauru specifically, they’re implied to be the same character.)

          • MagcargoMan

Now that you mention it, turning into an owl for certain attacks would be cool.

          • JaidynReiman

I’d think if anything he’d summon the owl. But I said “Gaepora,” not “Kaepora Gaebora.” Sound similar? Because they are.

Gaepora is Zelda’s father from Skyward Sword… who looks almost identical to Rauru. Its also been confirmed that Rauru is in fact Kaepora Gaebora in Hyrule Historia, and the theory is that Rauru is one of the Ancient Sages and is likely dead, nothing more than a Spirit during the events of OOT (and no, I don’t think the other Sages died during the events of OOT, I don’t buy that theory).

      • idrawrobots

You have very strong opinions with nothing but speculation to go on. Does your Dad work for Nintendo or something?

        • JaidynReiman

Lol no. I just don’t think, based on everything we know of so far, that we’ll get reps from 2D games at this point. I’d love to see 2D game characters repped.

    • Haganeren

I just imagined a gameplay with the old guy from Zelda 1 which want to give Link a sword. It would be awesome.

  • Jesse

It’ll be interesting to see how Princess Ruto fights.

I wonder if Veran and Onox are possible future characters? =O

    • zferolie

I can see her fighting like how Zora link fought in Majora’s mask, but with a lot more Tsun.

      • JaidynReiman

And I can also see her alternate weapon being a Harp.

        • zferolie

          The wind fish harp perhaps?

          • JaidynReiman

There’s numerous possible Harps. In fact, they could all be different weapons of the same weapon type, in theory. There’s Laruto’s Harp, the Goddess Harp, and potentially the Wind Fish Harp, yes.

    • Snorlaxation

I would Love to see Veran and Onox. Those were my two first Zelda villains, so I’m rather partial to them. But also, Veran’s possession ability, Onox’s Dragon form? Yes. Please.

  • Brimfyre

Excellent. I was getting worried that this game would only represent TP and SS.

Looks like it will end up being only the 3D Zeldas though. Maybe the sequel we will get some 2D characters.

    Hilda.

    • NeptuniasBeard

Have you learned NOTHING Brimfyre? Geez…

      • Brimfyre

Keeping expectations low, so I will continually be surprised and pleased.

        • NeptuniasBeard

Oh, that makes sense. Screw them!

    • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

It is turning into a beautiful tribute with some kickass action.

    • Tiredman

Maybe we get lucky and they give us a few “joke” but not :”joke” 2d characters from the nintendo and super nintendo games too =p

    • Reiswindy

Sahasrahla for Hyrule Warriors. Take my money.

  • Zargabath
    • MagcargoMan

I think it’d be cool if they made the actual Fierce Deity the mask represents playable.

      • zferolie

thing is we don’t know who that is. But I do agree Fierce Deity needs to be in as a Majora’s Mask rep.

        • MagcargoMan

They could make it up for this game. I mean, they’re making up new characters anyway.

          • zferolie

True. They also could finally explain the god it is based on as well

        • JaidynReiman

Could just as easily be Link’s final “weapon.”

          • zferolie

they could yes, but i rather it be a Majora’s mask rep. I could see it though

    • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

or they could just add the Happy Mask salesman who supplies Link with a different Mask like this one!

    • HarakiriKami

MAKE WAAAAAYYYY FOR DEE ELLL CEEEE

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTYpKlIc_fg

  • Mountain Smithy

Darunia. Yes. YES. It just got manly.

  • Linkmstr

Link and his sworn brother, Darunia. Badass duo that will kick some ass and get the ladies. :3

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

Man this is a Zelda fan wet dream <3 eaaaaa!

    • SakuStar Light

…………My body is ready is all i have to say.

      • ShawnOtakuSomething

mine been ready……puts on (Nintendo power glove)

        • SakuStar Light

Then the hype train accepts you as well. :D

  • NeptuniasBeard

And Link’s Harem grew 3 sizes that day (2 if this Sheik is the same Zelda)

    • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

Coupled with that and the power glove reveal, Link found the strength of ten Links, plus two!

    • Steven Higgins

But isn’t Darunia a male? So that’s only 2 or 1 if Shiek is Zelda.
unless Link is bi which I have to admit, would be kinda cool.

      • NeptuniasBeard

Harem’s hardly care for the personal feelings of their mutual target, so it doesn’t really matter which way Link “swings his sword”

  • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

I personally don’t remember a Zelda game…let alone any Nintendo game getting this type of hype and reveal before. KOEI TECMO is supplying some beautiful buzz for the Wii U.

    • Terraforce77

      Super Smash Bros.

      • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

Smash Brothers gets reveals but not like this. This is a game that many people were overlooking as a “yeah, that’s interesting but I’ll probably pass” or “it’s just a Dynasty Warriors clone.” – with these reveals, this game has been pumped as a must own. Very impressive and something that has not been done like this before for a Nintendo game…from what I remember.

        • NeptuniasBeard

Smash Bros still kinda beats it in the hype department. But while Smash started at the top, Hyrule Warriors climbed the hype mountain.

          • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

Smash Bros, as great as it is hype incarnate though. All one has to do is mention Smash and it’s on par with the masses being told the next COD is coming out – instant preorder! So that is true. (oh and yeah, I’m definitely getting Smash of course! ;)

However, you said it perfectly that Hyrule Warriors has climbed the hype mountain…something from what was originally not seen as anything more than a Dynasty Warriors Clone. That to me is impressive….and the reveals have everything to do with it.

          • NeptuniasBeard

I would be honored to play you. If you can/want, send me a friend request. My nnid is the same as this account name

        • Terraforce77

Smash Bros Reveals are most definitely this and more. For the last three or so Nintendo Directs, the main focus has been Super Smash Bros because it’s the most anticipated Wii U game. Nintendo hopes that Smash Bros. can SAVE the Wii U, something that Hyrule Warriors cannot do. I’m looking forward to both games, but Nintendo nor the fans are as hyped for this as they are for Smash.

  • Snorlaxation

This is looking more and more spectacular with every new reveal. Between this and all the Super Smash reveals…I’m going to overflow!

  • axemtitanium

Hyrule Warriors new character reveals are officially more hype than Smash Bros character reveals.

    • otakumike

      *coughs*nope*coughs*

    • JaidynReiman

Every new reveal for HW without Saria makes me lose hope. Saria is basically the one character I really wanted and figured she was quite likely… but I’m still hoping…

For Smash Bros., I was hyped for Mega Man, but wasn’t truly hyped again until Robin. If I get King K. Rool, I’ll be satisfied with Smash’s roster.

      • MagcargoMan

Robin was super-hype for me because I really wanted him in, especially hype because I thought he wouldn’t make it in over Chrom?

But really, not hyped since Mega Man? Rosalina and Little Mac were pretty hype, and I haven’t even played Punch Out.

        • JaidynReiman

I wanted Little Mac because I thought he deserved to be in, but he’s not a character that truly excited me.

Rosalina? Rosalina was cool, but I saw it as “another Mario character.” As far as I’m concerned, she was the #1 pick from the Mario franchise, but I’d rather they saved Rosalina for later, as an unlockable or something.

          K. Rool, Isaac, Dixie Kong, or Ridley would really hype me. K. Rool most notably, but frankly, I think most of them are in anyway. The one who would hype me most out of these characters is probably Isaac, since he’s not as likely to make the roster, but any of them would hype me even more.

          • MagcargoMan

“I wanted Little Mac because I thought he deserved to be in”

Same, but when I saw the actual trailer, I was hyped as crap; couldn’t believe they could make a trailer based on a guy who only punches so exciting.

“Rosalina was cool, but I saw it as “another Mario character.””

Zelda has 5 characters in Brawl and Pokemon had 6. I don’t get why people feel as if Mario doesn’t warrant a fifth rep.

I’ll admit there hasn’t been as many hype characters as I hoped, but honestly there was hype between Mega Man and Robin.

  • Steven Hunt

    A second male character, eh?

    • DS23

They’ve said the roster will be gender-balanced but they’ve focused on revealing female char,s mainly, thank Team Ninja for that I guess?

      • Kornelious

I guess that means they still have a lot more characters to reveal before it’s August release…

        • doubleO7

That doesn’t give them a lot of time. Maybe they’ll keep some characters hidden for players to stumble across on their own. That would be a neat surprise.

          • HarakiriKami

            Villains are playable.

            So there’s your males

      • Steven Hunt

Yeah I’d heard it’d be half-and-half, but considering how many we’d seen of one side over the other, I was beginning to doubt it.

  • zferolie

I actually found the 52 quote. it was from nintendo tree house.

When asked about the number of playable characters, Aonuma stated there would be “a total of 52 different play styles.”

52 play styles I thought meant 52 characters, but with characters getting
different weapons, it’s obvious we won’t get 52 characters.

right now the styles confirmed are: Link has 4(we saw 4 slots in demos) Zelda has 2-3, Impa has 2, Lana has 2, everyone else so far only has one. So the total styles shown, if we assume bosses are in and we get at least 1 ganondorf, is 22 styles.(23 if zelda has 3) that leaves 29 more styles. Lets assume that maybe ganondorf has 3 styles, (for the 3 we have seen him fighting in various games) that brings us to 24 styles. even if all the other characters that don’t have one get 1 extra(and I am pretty
sure some won’t, like Midna, fi, or Agitha), that brings us to 36 styles. That leaves us with a lot of room for characters or more styles

Now, how many more characters could this mean? what other games can be represented? I am worried about more worlds being shown then this because the story says the evil power Cia is looking for was split into 4, 1 in the master sword and 3 into other worlds. we got 3 other worlds. Majora’s Mask can still appear though because that IS the same world as OoT. But I am worried about the lack of Wind waker or other games

    • Kornelious

Are there really gonna be THAT many characters….wow O_O

      • Stanynja

Well there is A LOT of playables characters in Dynasty Warriors like game ( For exemple, there is 32 playable characters in Sengoku Basara 4. ).

        • JaidynReiman

Keep in mind that this is a “starting” Warriors series. The starting ones usually have smaller rosters. At the same time, this game has TONS of reused assets from existing Zelda games, most notably the enemies are ripped straight out of 3D Zeldas with the same animations and everything, so its possible we could get a roster of around 30 or so.

          • Suicunesol

What makes you think there’s going to be another Zelda Musou? I personally think this is a one-time deal.

I’m thinking they’re going all out with this because it might not happen again.

          • Brandonmkii

There has never NOT been a sequel. Even Ken’s Rage got one. I’m assuming this will sell well, and we’ll see at least one more. Or maybe an “ultimate” version next year.

          • Suicunesol

            Hmm… that makes me nervous.

          • Linhua

            … why…?

It might mean they might skimp out on characters for this “first” outing. At the very least, I want to see representation for all the major Zelda titles. I don’t want to see a bias for the 3D ones.

          • Justin Graham

That’s not really how the Musou spin-offs are designed.

They don’t skimp on characters. They made Ken’s Rage 2 because the release date coincided with Fist of the North Star’s 30th anniversary. It’s also largely a different beast from the original Ken’s Rage. Where the first told a video game-specific version of the Fist of the North Star story up to the defeat of Raoh and was written specifically as it was for the game, Ken’s Rage 2′s story was an almost complete adaptation of the manga storyline. It also played quite differently, as they went back and either redesigned or replaced a number of mechanics ranging from the leveling system to the basic moves of the characters.

          • MagcargoMan

What is up with that sentence structure?

          • Justin Graham

            What about it?

          • MagcargoMan

Oh, it’s not anymore, but when I was reading it before, the formatting made every second line have three words before going to the next. Must have been something going on with the site.

          • Linhua

… ahh… I can see how this might make you nervous.

… I actually would prefer a stand-alone representation of this game instead of a collection.

          • JaidynReiman

I don’t think there will for a 100% fact BE a sequel. I think a sequel is POSSIBLE. Unfortunately, whether a sequel happens or not I don’t really think we’ll get characters from non-3D games in this title. I’d love to be wrong, though.

      • zferolie

i did the math and right now I am guessing we have 30 playstyles if we assume ganondorf has 3 and zelda has 3 and half of the ones with only 1 have 2. that leaves us with 22 more playstyles and if we assume all the remaining characters have 2 playstyles, which is unlikely, that leaves us with 11 more characters, most likely more though.

    • Göran Isacson

Huh, four slots for Link, huh? Guess I must have missed that one. I personally thought that they would just give everyone three weapons each. Can you point out where those slots were that you saw? Are they in some corner of the screen, because I must have missed those when I saw the demons.

Also, this makes me sad because I dreamed of Fi turning into the Four Sword as an alternate weapon set, and suddenly having four separate actual personalities. Now my dream lies shattered… also, didn’t even consider the whole “the evil power was split into four pieces and three pieces were sent to other worlds”. I kinda hope that they rep from more worlds than JUST OoT, TP and SS though, when there are so many other games with fun characters they can include.

      • zferolie

I can’t look that well right now because at work, but I could have sworn that in the demo when someone selected link there were 4 slots, 2 of them for sword and fire rod. I COULD be wrong and there was only 3.

        • Göran Isacson

Aah, now I saw it. True, he does have four slots, of which two were filled with ???? marks, and Zelda only had two. One which is the rapier, the other then being the wind waker. Kind of inconsistent that not every char has the same amount of weapons, but I guess that’s one way to save up on potential move-sets. Ha ha, all my speculations on what three weapons each character would have sure went down the drain fast now.

          • zferolie

Some characters i am pretty sure will only have 1 weapon. Like Midna, Agatha, and Fi. Can you see them using any other weapon?

I do see Darunia using 2 weapons. regular goron fighting and the megaton hammer

          • Göran Isacson

Welp, as far as Agitha was concerned I thought her weapons would be the summoned insects? As such you could pretty much give her one moveset that’s Stag Beetle/butterfly as has been demonstrated here, and say, one that’s Praying Mantis Ant/Roller bug and one that’s acid-spraying slug/ant-colony and so forth. As far as Fi went, maybe have her take on the forms of other famous swords, like the Four Sword or the Great Fairy Sword? Like you say, Darunia might switch between Megaton Hammer and Goron boxing/wrestling, so with a little inventiveness I’m sure you could find alternate movesets for all the characters.

Still- if Satoru Iwata actually gave a specific number of playstyles and we did see that different characters had different amounts of weapon “boxes” in the demo, I guess that’s the way it’s going to be and some will most likely just have the one move-set.

          • MagcargoMan

Well some of the characters don’t really have three movesets’ worth of potential, I guess.

          • Göran Isacson

Eh, true enough. I was wondering how they were going to find weapons for the characters represented here, so truth be told I’m kind of relieved that not all of them have three weapons. Might mean we get some more obscure characters with just one weapon, rather than that characters potential weapon ending up in the hands of some already confirmed character.

    • MagcargoMan

Midna’s confirmed to have a second style (there’s a second weapon slot in the demo for her), and Zelda’s weapon selection at the E3 demo only had two slots, so it’s 23 styles so far.

Awww, I miss Darunia and Princess Ruto~. This will be fun!

    • ShawnOtakuSomething

      indeed

  • Link
    • Linhua

… WOW her eye looks terrifying.

      • Kameron Smith

obviously its gona be male but nice joke i like your art style i have been looking for someone who can make images like this how would you like to do some projects for me?

  • Kornelious

Looks like Ocarina of Time isn’t being left outta this one! And we finally have another male character!…..accompanied by two more females :P

Don’t know why I didn’t consider Sheik earlier, Darunia’s moveset is gonna be Tank-tastic, and Ruto…..Should be interesting at the very least :D

  • otakumike

    Zora, Goron…all that’s left is…

    • zferolie

The deku butler from Majoras mask. Thats who i hope represents the deku race

      • Göran Isacson

That would be pretty neat, but the way the cast has been thus far I wonder if they wouldn’t be more inclined to go with the Deku Princess… still, having a Deku Scrub either way would be pretty neat.

        • zferolie

the butler did more then the princess anyway. And just because we have had so many females doesn’t mean there will be no males.

Zelda games have always have ad primarily female cast members, or females in important roles. How many male characters can you name off the top of your head? how many female?

          • Göran Isacson

While I admit you have a point about the first part, I don’t quite see what the second part has to do with my previous message? Did you mean to write that to someone else, maybe?

          • zferolie

i guess i only said that here because I have seen many people complaining about too many females and why aren’t their more males and this being links harem game. Sorry I didn’t mean to attack you if thats how it sounded.

          • Göran Isacson

Ah, I gotcha. Yeah, no worries about that from my end, I am a-okay with the characters that have been presented so far and find the whole “Link’s Harem Game” to be pretty tiresome myself. I was just throwing out the possibility of the Deku Princess based on the prevalence of female characters revealed so far.

      • JaidynReiman

If Deku get a character, it should be the Deku Butler (although here’s hoping we get Saria as well :P).

    • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

Bring on the Mask Salesman with interchangeable Mask upgrades and we are all set! ;)

  • Vash bane

very interested in princess ruto unlike Zelda she didn’t fight (I…I admit memory is sketchy >.<)

that is rather interesting Zelda and sheik are again separate characters nice~
game is sounding awesome….so many females tho I guess I've been so focused on the story line that I didn't even notice XD

    • JaidynReiman

None of the characters except Link ever fought… Well, Darunia is IMPLIED to have fought, but we never see what happened to him.

      • Serge
        • NintendoPSXTheSecond

All irrelevant as this is Twilight Princess/Skyward Sword stuff you’re displaying. This is about Ocarina of Time which no one but Link partook in combat.

          • zferolie

You saw Sheik attacking whatever came out of the well… didn’t you? And yeah you never actually saw Ruto or Darunia fighting, though it was implied.

In fact the only sage you saw fighting was Nabooru

          • Alexander Marquis Starkey

That said, Impa is a bodyguard usually, so it’s assumed she knows how to fight, or if she’s too old, know how to command troops strategically.

          • Serge

He didn’t mention a particular game, so i guess he was talking about all the franchise.

  • https://twitter.com/BinksFrost Binks5

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Warboss Aohd

    who is Darunia?

    • Alexander Marquis Starkey

The leader of the Gorons and sage of Fire in Ocarina of Time.

      • Warboss Aohd

Now that’s what i like to hear!

  • John Smith

Well, at least we have more male playable characters now, Sheik (kinda?) and Darunia (he’s a Goron though)

    • SakuStar Light

but he is a guy you said a male character you never said hylian and you got what you all wanted and no shiek is a woman. So yeah I think the lesson in this is XD becareful what you wish for, always explain your wishes carefully. XD well hes to hoping we get Malon/Epona heck maybe oni link if were lucky.

  • Ben Sylvia

Haha! I knew we’d get Darunia and Ruto from OoT! More or less the most iconic Goron and Zora in the series. Aside from Bigoron and the Zora King, but I think it would be difficult to make them playable. XD

The only thing this needs for me now is Oracle of Ages/Seasons characters,
come on Din, Nayru, Ralph, and the Pirate Captain!

  • InsertOffensiveUsernameHere

    So, Sheik will use kunais?

    …take notes, Impa.

    • JaidynReiman

Not technically. She uses the harp, but does apparently have some dagger/kunai attacks. I’d be surprised if as an alternate weapon she doesn’t have a katana or pair of daggers.

But yeah, Impa should’ve used something like that. I guess they decided to give Impa a different role, though, because they already planned for Sheik as a separate character.
