Valhalla Knights 3 Still Updating, Adds Costumes From No-Rin Anime

By Eugene . July 29, 2014 . 12:00pm

Sexy Time action RPG Valhalla Knights 3 Gold is getting new DLC costumes in a collaboration with agricultural anime No-Rin. We’re… not sure why.

No-Rin is about a superstar idol girl who suddenly quits her job and joins the agricultural school where the main protagonist studies at. As befits a farming anime, they wear stodgy farming clothes, which will be added to Valhalla Knights 3 Gold.

Valhalla Knights 3 Gold, on the other hand, is an action RPG where you’re “trapped” in a prison. A really big prison, with outdoor environments. While you’re there, you’ll be able to have Sexy Time with all sorts of women, including an angel and demoness.

Valhalla Knights 3 Gold is out now on PlayStation Vita. The English version of Valhalla Knights 3 made it to the West, but XSeed Games have stated they have no plans to localize this updated version.

    oh.. okay :|

  • DanijoEX ♬ the Cosmic Owl

    I’ve completely forgotten this one…

  • Ren Yuumei

    That’s sooo….random :/

  • Göran Isacson

I kind of love the apathy going on here. A game which seems like it has drawn very few enthusiasts announce a collaboration with an anime I haven’t even heard of until today, and the response is that everyone, from article writer to commenters, are pretty much just “eh”.

    Soo…. is NoRin any fun?

    • DFM

It has its funny/cheesy moments but has a slice-of-life feel to it. I would recommend it as an anime you watch to laugh; doesn’t have as much impact as Attack of Titan though.

      • Göran Isacson

Ah, so it’s a comedy then? I do like me some comedies, and I did like Silver Spoon and Moyashimon- something a little fluffier and lighter than those could probably go down well enough.

    • darke

It’s a slice-of-life comedy with some romantic, ecchi, and weird elements.

If you like ‘popcorn’ comedy animes, it’s pretty good.

    • Lemski07

yeah somehow fun if u dont have anything to do to pass time. but its still somehow enjoyable with some of its PLOTs.

Still don’t understand why Xseed localized the bad port over the definitive version. I can’t believe im writing this but Marvelous should have pulled a Capcom and not localize the game until the G version was ready.

    • Gustavo

Marvelous pulled the G version out of the hat when the localization of the original game was already done. What could XSEED do? I liked this game besides all its flaws, and I still hope for an english version of Gold in the future.

      • nonscpo

        Same here :)

  • sakusakusakura_nyo

This game, Mind Zero, and Conception 2 probably didn’t need to be localized in the first place.

    • shadowind

You do know that there are people like myself who actually happen to like these games and are glad that they got localised.

      • darke

Mind Zero was fun (well, except for the post-game dungeon which I gave up on; just annoying), and if you play Conception II like the usual grind-fest JRPGs you’re going to be bored out of your mind, so I can understand the dislike there.

But it does feel like they should have held off localising this until the Gold version came out. (Though I guess like the PS4 version of Akiba’s Trip 2 it was somewhat unexpected…) It appears some developers have gotten to like the extra cash a little too much, fixing fundamental game problems (like terribly slow loading) by releasing a “new game plus” rather then a separate patch for the original game.

        • sakusakusakura_nyo

I hated Mind Zero’s ending a lot. Even if they make a sequel, I won’t play it.

          • darke

Eh? I’ve never finished the post-game dungeon, so I don’t know if it changes it much, but I thought it was a great to-be-continued cliff-hanger ending.

Going to suck if there’s no part 2, more so if the original doesn’t do well enough that they don’t decide to bring it over, but this is a definite buy for me.

The modelling/textures are pretty average and the gameplay gets a little grindy towards the end though. :(

Story-wise it felt like an adaption of a light novel, reminds me of one in specific but I can’t recall the title at the moment.

          • sakusakusakura_nyo

Finishing the post game dungeon doesn’t change the ending.

          • darke

            Thanks. I wasn’t sure. Glad I didn’t miss anything.

I can kind of understand why you might not like the ending though; it did feel like it came out nowhere a bit.

      • sakusakusakura_nyo

Those games just felt like a chore to get through. Demon Gaze was decent though, I enjoyed that one.

    • Kumiko Akimoto

      Nice opinion there

      • sakusakusakura_nyo

Thanks man. Most of the Vita games I bought were cool but I didn’t really like those.

        • Kumiko Akimoto

That’s fine doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have been localized.

          • sakusakusakura_nyo

It would have saved me some money and hours of agony if they didn’t.

          • Kumiko Akimoto

Actually if you looked up reviews or play throughs of it, you would have saved money.

          • sakusakusakura_nyo

Hey smartypants, I read the reviews. This isn’t the first time I’ve been to a video game website or anything and sometimes games I like get bad reviews.

          • Kumiko Akimoto

Well then that’s your problem not the localizers.

  • shadowind

I’d definitely give my money to XSEED if they brought the Gold version out in English.

  • Kornelious

Forgot about this, Kinda wish they localized the gold version, I’d actually consider buying it if that was the case….But oh well :(

    • darke

Yeah, I’ve got the English original game, and have been tempted to grab the Japanese Gold download just because I gave up maybe 10% of the way in the English one due to irritations at slow loading. :(

  • Callonia

    sexy time =/= sexy time.

  • Lemski07

I felt bad since I think they should sell the fixed versions. and I bought vk3, like others. toukiden anyone? I sold my toukuden immediately after I heard that a better version will be out same with soul sacrifice. then bought delta. and Im almost 10x longer time playing it than the original.
