One day I hope for a Complete Edition :(

    • Good luck with that. Game is reaching $500+ in DLC alone.

      • Christopher Nunes

That’s WAY too much for DLC! I mean, I love the costumes and would want to get them… but that’s just nuts!

That is the WORST way to use DLC… overpriced items. True they’re optional, but come on!

        • The target audience is OCD patients and the Otaku. Fans of the games are at the bottom of the list. Not even trying to sound offensive here, as I buy some of these packs. But the case still stands. There are packs for the Full version of DOA5 Ultimate, and some that are only for the Core Fighters version.

          • Linhua

… you are one wise Moogle, Mr. Stiltzkin.

            … … … Kupo.

    • Stephen Mc Devitt
    • Vesperion

A complete edition for $40-$60, or just keep selling the DLC the way they already have been totaling up to $300+

      Tecmo isn’t crazy

    • ALfromHELLSING

Ain’t gonna happen. If only incomplete edition, DOA5U included good amount of DLC for original but not all. Also can you imagine how excited are gonna be people who actually bought all the DLC?
Dead or Alive 5 Ultra Ultimate Arcade Best Value Greatest Price. $500 worth DLC for $40, let those DLC buyers rage!
I myself would never again buy DLC for any Team NINJA game if that ever happened. lol

      • You would never buy a single game with ludicrous amounts of DLC, if there is to be a final version with everything unlocked and available Day 1. That much is almost absolute.

  • Ni ~Algidus~

how much the DLC of this game is costing as of now? $300+?

    • Bob Slim

If you had DOA 5 from the start and been buying the costumes. Like me it really dont seem that much. I guess when I look back i say dang I spend a lot of money on costumes. But I love them

    • Hector Velar

well. they are optional and dont affect gameplay at all. lets talk about mobile games that forces people to pay thousands per week to get in the top 10 of their weekly events which people are dumb enough to spend…. this is optional, you buy if you like, texture artists and modelers have to get payed… this is a good way to keep them working.

      • Ni ~Algidus~

i didn’t asked anything about mobile games, nor said something bad about DOA dlc it was just a question. stop beign such a stupid blind defender

  • DeAndre Atchison

This is like the 12th set of costumes, isn’t it?

    • For Ultimate? Or for DOA5 in general?

  • Lumibelle

This game has like what…$200+ worth of costume DLC? I’m guessing a lot of people buy these costumes, because there’s no way Team Ninja would keep making these if they weren’t making any profit.

    • James Reilly

Yeah and I thought BB dlc catalogue was ridiculous. Then again paying $50 for just system voices is probably even worse then the plethora of costumes.

      • Lumibelle

Let’s not go there, Ark Sys also sells 2D shades (P4 Arena) and color palettes, they’re in a class of their own.

    • Bob Slim

Im 1 of the people buying the costumes only the girls costumes

      • ALfromHELLSING

Clearly they make no money on costumes for guys since they stopped making those since last year, last pack to include costumes for guys was Legacy pack. That was also the last one I bought.
I play as both guys and girls, I’ve got more than enough for girls so I stopped buying. I might buy Halloween 2014 pack if it’s gonna be any good also if it includes costumes for guys.

    • Hector Velar

i buy the packs when they are on psn+ at discounts. Often times 5$ or less for the whole set. Buy smart …

    • Stranger On The Road

it is really cheap to make those costumes; heck if they allowed modding then more costumes would be out there. Plus the internet make marketing them to be almost free.

they don’t have to sell soo many of them to justify making more!

  • NyaBoy

    All DLC cost from DOA5 > PS4+XboxOne

  • Stephen Mc Devitt

People, I implore you, please make up some fanfics and doujins of all the DOA girls having a big slumber party before having orgies in bathrooms and bedrooms!

    • All of that predates DOA4.

      • Stephen Mc Devitt

Yeah but add in Mila, Marie, Rachel, Momiji, Phase-4 and that new tengu chick into the mix, maybe even have them surprised by the sexual antics the girls before them get into.

Marie: You girls do this all the time?

Kokoro: I used to be confused too but that was YEARS ago.

Then Helena, ONLY wearing an unbuttoned shirt, walks to Marie, bends down, grabs Marie by the shoulders and kisses her. I’d say more but I don’t wanna get myself in any trouble.

  • kmantle

$15 for a bunch of virtual clothes!? I don’t even spend that much on REAL clothes!!

    • Xerain

I spend more money on virtual clothes in a year than I do on real clothes.

That being said, I have this one shirt I’ve been wearing for 20 years.

  • Arrngrim

Hello, dead horse? I’m here to beat you. Not gonna give Team Ninja a dime until they just go ahead and release DOAX3. (~.~)/

    • What, and buy the same waves of clothes? I’ll just keep buying the stuff for DOA5…

… then do it again for DOAX3!

    • WhyWai

yea! Please give us DOAX directly instead of these stupid costume packs

      • Xerain

Maybe they could release DOAX as an expansion to DOA, so that the DLC will be cross buy? I can dream, can’t I?

        • Cross-Buy DLC? Good luck with that.

    • David García Abril

You know… Normally I would say “Sure! Because that’s what the franchise needs to be taking seriously. More beach volleyball games that every high-brow video game commentator hates with a passion!”

But TN has already done that with this DLC non-sense. -_-

It pisses me off because the game is damn good, and easily the most balanced entry in the franchise. But the sex pandering is worst than ever! >_<

      • Arrngrim

Oh, definitely, I REALLY enjoyed DOA4 on 360 back when it first hit, and I bought DOA5 too (as well as Dimensions). However, when I saw the pending money grab building….I knew better. Haven’t given them another dime since.

  • Judgephoenix

DLC is just getting worse and worse Halo 2 still had the best DLC packs $5 bucks for maps. COD only offers 1-2 maps plus what a mission I don’t even care about for $15. Nickel and Diming players is really draining.

    • Xerain

I see no nickles or dimes.

  • Ryo-kun

When can I get my shirtless Eliot? :(

  • shuyai

i hate costumes DLC especially when they are sold on such high price. i mean they worth $1 per back maximum, and $14.99 is just ridiculous

  • leingod

I’m actually a sucker for DLC like this (shame on me) … but since they totally ditched the Vita version, which is the one I play the most, I’m not getting anything.

  • Linhua

… LORD have mercy they’re still going .-.

    • You just gave Tecmo a new idea. The next Pack will be the “Last Supper” DLC. All the characters having an outfit based on each of the 12 Apostles, and anyone that lived with them.

  • ShadowDivz

Kokoro: “Oh, you should really put some ice on that
Me: This isn’t that type of swelling sweetheart.

  • Crimson_Cloud

Bought these only for Momiji and Rachel cuz’ they have fewer clothing then the rest of the girls. Or at least, that’s how it looks to me since I didn’t buy everything that was thrown so far. Gonna buy Nyotengu and her clothing when it finally appears on PSN and that’s that…. honestly… enough already me…
