All You Need Are Guns And Panties To Take Out Tanks In Bullet Girls

By Sato . July 30, 2014 . 3:45am

In D3 Publisher and Shade’s upcoming action shooting game, you’ll play as high school girls of the Ranger Corps who train to become more efficient soldiers for the military. Their latest video teaches us what they’re all about, and all the rough training that awaits.

After the Hollywood movie-like opening, a couple girls of the Ranger Corps talk a little about their organization while showing off some of their comrades. At the 2:00 mark, we get a look at some of the missions.

After clearing the required missions, there are called the Code Missions which are required to continue advancing in the game. In these missions, you might occasionally go against fellow club members, but it’s okay, there’s no hard feelings between the girls.

At 2:40 they talk about the weapons. Each character can hold up to four different weapons at a time, ranging from sniper rifles to bazookas. Next they show the girls taking out different vehicles.

According to the Ranger Corps girl, these vehicles might be… big, hard, and scary, but if you can look at their attack pattern and avoid shots, it shouldn’t be a problem to shoot them down with some heavy weapons.

Next, at the 3:55 mark, we get to see the undergarment changing feature. These undies have different stat effects like HP boosts and attack up, which can be mixed and matched with their impressive number of over 1,600 possible combinations.

As we all know, being part of the military involves the risk of possibly being captured and interrogated by enemies. However, the girls of Bullet Girls get a special training just in case that ever happens. This involves groping… and placing strange objects on the girls, as seen at 4:38.

Bullet Girls will be released on August 21, 2014 in Japan for PlayStation Vita. You can also check out all their latest pre-order undergarment bonuses in our earlier report.

All You Need Are Panties, nothing more, nothing less.

  • fyi1191

I won’t get my hopes up for a localization just because there’s English in the trailer. Take a look at that Dream C Club English trailer.

Next week, Senran Kagura 2. Then a few weeks later, Bullet Girls. And another week later, Neptune U. So many games, so little time.

    • Renaldi Saputra

anw I haven’t seen D3 games getting localized

  • aizen310

But of course it needs a pantsu to take out a tank. Japan never fails to deliver (well, usually doesn’t)

  • Eric Harris

Oh my god, talk about completely and unabashedly objectifying women. Where’s the pre-order link?

  • Armageddon

“All You Need Are Guns And Panties To Take Out Tanks In Bullet Girls” that’s over-the-top gameplay there. I hope it gets localized.

  • Mika Moreno

I really hope this gets localized. Even if it’s download only. It sounds totally worth it!

    • tonyp1987

Me too. It makes me mad that people say vita has no games. I have over 50 games total…physical,ps1,psp and ps vita download games….i am currently playing sly cooper 3 and platinum sly cooper 1 and 2 on vita.

      • Herok♞

As a fellow Vita owner I find when people say Vita has no games they mean outside of ports and classic games made for other systems, like when you say over 50 how many were games created for Vita? Like with the amount of PSone and PSP games I have its boosts my number past 50 as well even if I only have 5 or 6 games made with the system in mind at most with both physical and download. Granted the list is expanding with things like Bullet Girls and Freedom Wars. But that’s what they mean.

        • tonyp1987

Out of those 50 games I have about 33 games for vita

        • tonyp1987

Here is my ps3 and vita physical collection a couple of months ago….new to the collection is for vita….sly cooper trilogy and for ps3….gta 4 and saint row 3 the full package and mlb the show/nba 2k14 combo

          • [S]unjay

            I’m all digital.

          • tonyp1987

I like physical because you can have more space on harddrive/memory card and you can resell it

          • Astraea’s Eyebrow

Ahhh those red cases, they burnnn they burnnnn!

          • Revolver Jesus Super Pimp

Damn I thought I was the only one who even had WET…

          • tonyp1987

It’s a good game to play….you can look at my collection and tell I’m random

      • idrawrobots

The Vita has some games, most of which I don’t want to play. Some of which are awesome.

      • Astraea’s Eyebrow

I have tons of vita and PSP games as well. its just they don’t seem to be too popular with the “American” crowd.

        • tonyp1987

I know but I love my vita it’s the best Japanese gaming source

          • Astraea’s Eyebrow

            Yup! I totally agree!

    • Michael Richardson

I’m going to import it. No way it is not coming over completely butchered. :(

    • Renaldi Saputra

it’s D3 publisher, we don’t know about it

  • Limbless

I sure hope my meagre moonrune knowledge doesn’t hold me back from enjoying this deep and intricate PLOT.

  • I’d be extremely surprised if this made it to America speechless even

    • Herok♞

Somehow Both Diva Project and Criminal Girls made it so anything is possible at this point

      • Kayseur

Project Diva is less surprising than CG or Senran Kagura though. As it doesn’t even require that much work to be translated and it’s absolutely safe for anyone.

      • Rinkawa Erion

I was surprised when I heard that Criminal Girls is getting a localization. But then found out it will be censored. So now if this is getting localize I now expect it to be censored.

        • Astraea’s Eyebrow

I wont mind if its censored. i think the game itself looks fun but i wasn’t too big on the fan service part.

      • Renaldi Saputra

CG was by nippon icchi and it’s reasonable
Project Diva coz miku is big

      • planetofthemage

        And don’t forget Senran Kagura.

      • You know what I totally forgot about that

    • I am sure NISA’s desperation tactics of localizing as of late will get it to America.

  • recon

    Still waiting for IA-VT OTL

    • Xerain

Thanks to that delay, there’s not other games I have to put off getting, heh.

      • recon

        D-demo… IA dayo… D:
Oh well, this game seems interresting…

        • Xerain

*now other games I have to put off on getting. Like this one. As much as this game has my attention, there are too many other games that have my attention more, like IA’s.

          • recon

Of course! I mean, IT’S IA :DDDDD

  • Callonia

    This looks fun to play.

  • idrawrobots

This looks fun, until it gets to the groping part.

    • Shippoyasha

Thanks to the Vita’s screenshot function, it should be fun taking weird and awkward pictures and sharing it online! At least with sites that allow for NSFW shots.

      • ShadowDivz

        …No shame here, huh?

  • War certainly has changed these days………

Sooooooooo where do I sign up? :3

  • Learii

is look fun that for sure

  • HentaRobot

    Believe in panties!

  • ThirdChildZKI

Sure, the gropi – interrogation feature is pretty Japan-weird, but I’ve seen and done worse myself. Still anime, guns, CQC, and panties. . . Just take the wallet.

  • Arrngrim

Did someone say panties? *perks up*

  • Bob Slim

I cant wait to import this game its gonna be fun

  • Kornelious

I hope someone picks this up for a localization. And since XSeed is no longer doing “Fanservice games” all we have left is NISA and maybe Aksys X(

But besides all the luscious clothes tearing, the game does look really fun! So i hope someone gives it a chance :)

    • kurbstar2

NISA is in some serious trouble right now. They lost decent cashcows such as Gust and Neptunia. Disgaea and the developers behind it are a shell of what it once was, there’s a sizable hate-base thanks to their voluntary censorship and bugged translations, and they are publicly in financial stress now after backing out of a 3k donation/sponsorship to GaymerX

And Xseed never said they weren’t doing fanservice games anymore. In fact, their position never changed. They just said they don’t pick up games on fanservice alone

      • Kornelious

Well jeez, i didn’t hear about all of that….Though I doubt that will stop them, NISA has been through worse (I think)

As for XSeed, if that’s the case then hopefully they will see the game for it’s merits :D

        • kurbstar2

This is the worse they’ve ever been. When another company (Tecmo Koei) literally has to come out and say to their own fans that they are still translating and publishing Ar No Surge, and not NISA (NISA is only printing the special edition, but their twitter ‘announcement’ made it look like they took the entire project over from TK)….then you know you have a PR problem on your hand.

They just keep shooting themselves in the foot. Sooner or later enough blood is going to leak out of that foot to put you under eventually

      • darke

You’re not kidding their buggy localisations are killing them; I’m one of those who buys these sort of games on release, but their last two or three releases I’ve held off due to game-killing bugs getting through.

Didn’t buy Mugen Souls Z on release day due to their Hundred Knight crash bug still being unfixed, and that turns out to have an equally annoying crash bug; didn’t buy Battle Princess of Arcadias because I was waiting for *both* of those bugs to be fixed, and to find out if Battle Princess was equally bugged…

Turns out they finally fixed Mugen Souls Z right in time for a whole pile of new games to come out, and given up completely on Hundred Knight. So maybe sometime after Christmas when the glut of games has calmed down I’ll get back to these when they’re 50+% off…

        • kurbstar2

Too late for me. I’m done with them. I have enough of their non-bugged PS2 and early PS3 games to keep me occupied until they hire new management who knows what playtesting is and actually knows how to deal with the ESRB/PEGI.

          • darke

That’s pretty close to my attitude actually. I mean I dislike what they’re planning on doing with Criminal Girls and likely won’t get it because with the attitude they’ve got they’re certainly going to go more then ‘minimal required changes’ anyway; but this buggy-release/maybe-fix fiasco has totally soured me on buying their new releases at launch, which will likely result in me simply not buying them ever.

If I can only play a couple of hours a day, I’d prefer to play games I can be reasonably confident I’m not going to have to endure them crashing all the time and losing my effort after all. :(

          • kurbstar2

I dunno what they were thinking when they thought choosing criminal girls would be a good idea. They weren’t able to handle mugen souls fully, and this one is 20 times worse. My guess is an ill-advised attempt at bringing in the senran kagura audience, and forgetting to read the memo on how xseed made it a cult hit

          • darke

To be honest it feels more like they’re simply desperate and trying to get some easy/quick/cheap games to localise.

After Mugen Souls + Z and IF’s Monmon were censored without much fuss, I don’t quite think they expected the amount of pushback they received for this title.

Honestly if they tried to censor one of the elements they planning to; drop the voices, OR steam things up, OR rewrite the “compensated dating” girl’s backstory, they probably would have got through with people making minimal fuss.

But they apparently boiled the frog too quickly and it massively backfired on them.

    • Renaldi Saputra

NISA or Aksys never brought D3 games before
even Dream Club series didn’t got localized
      I doubt

  • Lester Paredes

Aside from the groping aspect, everything about this game screams for me to play it. Even the mix and match panties. Because I think that’s funny and is a nice way to feature the superstition ‘lucky underwear’ .

  • The interrogation training parts just screams “doujin!”

I’d like the game to come over. Senran Kagura with guns, minus the swords. *fingers crossed*

    • ShadowDivz

Thank god somebody said what i was thinking.

  • Pantsu kudasai :3

  • leingod

The premise of this game is so freaking stupid… I love it! XD
