  • Gojira Twit

Wolf with an eyepatch, well-played Kojima

  • Codex

Knowing me i’d have no problem killing heaps of the soldiers in the game but if the wolf died i’d probably curl up and start again because wolf

  • Raging Rasta

Who the fuck. Parachutes. A horse.

    • MrTyrant

      Big Boss of course.

      • TeachDRRR

        He’s already a demon.

    • César H. Sandoval

      How wouldn’t?

  • LemonsArentForever

when i played metal gear solid on ps1 back in 98′ i never thought in the series id be flying horses back to base by parachute or have a badass wolf with an eye patch as a partner….needless to say im glad this is where we are now.

  • Namuro

    Ahh… The cute lil’ wolf!

I can’t believe how some people WISH for the wolf to die just for the sake of impact in the story. I’m glad that the choice is not forced… I won’t let you die, D.D.!!

No, I won’t you two die, either! Quiet, and uh…! Uh… Horsey!!

    • Charles Parker

I don’t WISH for the wolf to die, I just really expect it to.

    • AuraGuyChris

Each animal makes things easier, but each one of them can die. They don’t have much impact in cutscenes, apparently.

By the way, don’t say a witty remark about animals after seeing my avatar.

      • God

I won’t, but you AREN’T gonna let Wolfie die, are you?!

  • Sion12

MGS is plot way way too convoluted with game releasing in random order(time-line wise). i hope they will reboot the series soon

    • decus

Just play them in order of release? They’ve put out quite a few collections allowing you to do that. The collections also display the games in real timeline order on the selection screen too if, for whatever reason, you wanted to play like that without looking it up.

Here’s a brief description of the major MG titles

MG is about rookie Solid Snake on his first mission, ends with him fighting his clone father Big Boss.

MGS is about Solid Snake being forced out of retirement to go kill his clone brother Liquid that’s gone rogue. Through the course of the story you find that Liquid wanted independence and was following in the footsteps of their father Big Boss. “Genetic Control” is the theme with Solid & Liquid being seemingly cursed by their progenitor’s genes.

MGS2 is about rookie Raiden on his first mission (it parallels the first MG), ends with him fighting his father figure Solidus. Solidus was also fighting for a world like what Big Boss envisioned and wanted. Solid Snake shows up as a mentor figure. “Information control” is the theme with Arsenal Gear filtering the internet (like NSA in real life) to control everyone.

MGS3 is about Big Boss before he went rogue, a proto-Metal Gear shows up with a nuclear weapon and it ends with a duel with his mother figure. “Emotion Control” is the theme, about the kind of things that force a person to act against their emotions or reinforce their passions.

MGS4 is about Solid Snake nearing the end of his unnatural life. Through the game Solid Snake ties up all loose ends from MGS1, 2, 3 and has a final duel with the only man in the world that Solid Snake can really relate to as a peer. “Battlefield control” is the theme, war is now routine and part of a controlled economy.

MGS:Peacewalker is about Big Boss striking off on his own to create his own nation with his own ideals while co-existing withw orld powers and deals with the world his mentor envisioned vs what path he himself should take.

MGSV is about Big Boss having everything taken away from him so he ‘becomes a demon’ to fight back, rebelling against the world to build his own nation with his own ideals. The actions of MGSV echo into every previous MG game.

But the core part of every MG game is the protagonist and his struggle against the world order.

      Reboot? Dear God, NO!

    • Better than the ass-backwards kingdom hearts trilogy. Die-hard fans of MGS can actually piece it together with a bit of effort, and there’s even an official encyclopedia out for PS3 download from Konami themselves to help with the situation. But no matter how hard KH fans try to do the same, it en’s up making little to no sense when they’re done XD

  • Ric Vazquez

My hype can’t be bigger right now

  • Haunter!

Ooh, I hope it’s a puppy! I’m gonna call him ‘Solid Dog’!

    • Cheesy12

It’s a wolf, but close enough lol.

      • Haunter!

        (Modern War Gear Solid)

  • Kamakuma

Called it that his robotic arm would have new powahs~ :’3 Probably gonna have a strict limit on it though :/

  • Naruto

This is officially Metal Gear Wolf.

    • God

The wolf will be the biggest selling point.

      • Naruto

Quiet is whats going to be the biggest selling point.

        • God

I don’t think MGS fans are into the game beacuse of the boobs, though it will definitely be a motivation.

  • Vash bane

woah hold on for a minute … lol the wolf has a eye pace too? XD

  • Next gen wolfs FTW who needs next gen dogs anyway, get with it call of duty geez

  • Cyril Murasakitsuyukusa

Damn, Quiet’s face is quite ugly looking >_<

    • ameliabaz

I really like that about her. She has this beautiful body, but a face that has clearly been through a lot of hardships and pain. And she has little imperfections that make her look like a real person (like a slightly weak jawline and the small wrinkle between her eyebrows). It’s a great attention to detail.

      • cameron forsyth

well she is a real person. well her face is real anyway, since kojima studios 3D scanned a model for quiets face.

    • Robert Kupper

Really? I think its quite pretty.

    • Rolling Guy

I think she looks realistic. Minus her outfit of course.

  • triablos

Knowing MGS I bet the wolf is the ancestor of those dogs in MGS1 Shadow Moses

  • It’s a little Quiet in here =P
