Persona Q: Shadow Of The Labyrinth Visits The Velvet Room

By Spencer . October 30, 2014 . 11:45pm

Margaret from Persona 4 returns for Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth where she helps players fuse personas. One twist in Persona Q is all characters can change personas, which might explain why Chie is in the Velvet Room.

Margaret can also extract skills from personas and give experience point boos. The Velvet Room siblings do more than handle personas in Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. Since there isn’t a town to explore, Theodore basically acts the game’s shopkeeper. Just like in other Persona games, if you sell Theodore items dropped by shadows he can create new weapons and armor.

Elizabeth hangs out in the nurse’s office. She can heal your party for a price and give you extra quests.

Marie from Persona 4: Golden takes care of Streetpass functionality and wireless persona swapping.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth comes out on November 25 in North America.

  • Margaret, sophisticated beauty.

Even when trapped in some weird dimension/time period, F.O.E-er, I mean, the Velvet Room still charges you money.

And now Theodore’s VA changed from Travis Willingham to Bryce Papenbrook. Ugh. The difference is huge between those two.

Can’t be helped, Travis seems to have gone union as well (or at least is voicing in more AAA games)

Weird how Travis was present in Ultimax

It’s kinda weird that players can’t choose which velvet room assistant would be the “lead” – you’re kinda stuck with Margaret for fusions (which you’ll be doing the most) while Elizabeth is relegated to sidequests and the infirmary.

Given that you can choose between Fuuka or Rise as your navigator / battle support, I kinda figured players would have similar option in the velvet room but it feels weird that P4’s given top billing over P3 here.

It’s not a huge deal at the end of the day… and I still can’t wait for this one to come out!

I should stop watching all these news & vids related to this game before I spoil too much for myself. Not like I need to be convinced to buy this game ’cause I’m already buying it.
