Yo-kai Watch 2: Headliner is the third version after Head and Founder, and will feature all kinds of new yokai monsters and challenges that await. 4Gamer shares a look at what you can get for using the save data transfer when Headliner releases.

By transferring data from Yo-kai Watch 2: Head or Founder to the upcoming third version of Headliner, players will get the new and improved S-rank versions of the fan-favorite yokai Jibanyan, in addition to an S-rank Koma-san.

Jibanyan looks pretty excited, as he’s shown saying “finally! My S-rank debut has arrived-nyan!”

The above is a look at the mysterious red and white yokai that will be in Founder and Head, respectively. While they’re just labeled as mysterious yokai that will appear in the game’s Yo-kai Watch Busters action mode, they do look pretty similar to Jibanyan and Koma-san… if they were in some sort of Fist of the North Star crossover.

Additionally, players will get a chance to acquire the above powerful Black Oni in all three versions of the game when Yo-kai Watch 2: Headliner releases on December 13, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS.

One question: Can you transfer your data from Yokai Watch 1 to Yokai Watch 2?

    • British_Otaku

Seems that isn’t the case. This isn’t Monster Hunter 4G/Gaist Crusher God/ Attack on Titan Chain or otherwise a blown up version of the original game with some new mechanics, they could have some compatibility like some DS games have with GBA games (much easier with save data on the system these days – Boktai with Lunar Knights and Battle Network 1-5 with Battle Network 5 DS) but seem to be saving it as an incentive to buy recent games.

Thanks for the information. My nephew was looking forward to it, but it seems like that isn’t the case. I’ll just tell him it isn’t possible. Again, thanks!

EDIT: How about the Yokai, can you transfer them to the new game, like Pokemon? Actually, I was meaning to ask this, not data transfer per se.

  • Money?Muney??All my luveee!!!

With this, Youkai Watch 2.5 is going to sell another 2 million lol.^_^
