One or Eight is a new studio founded by former Imageepoch staff Komura Issei and Kuroki Takashi. It’s currently comprised of five people and will have its first game called Earth Wars out on PlayStation 4 this summer with an Xbox One version also on the way.

Earth Wars is a 2D action game set on Earth in 2020 as it’s being invaded by  a force known as E.B.E that has destroyed most of the planet’s countries and made 70 percent of land mass its nest. You play as a member of A.N.T.I., which is a special military unit set-up to deal with unprecedented enemies to Earth.

When starting the game, you can choose to play as a man or a woman, and are able to customize their look. However, what it fixed is that men are more heavily armored, move slower, and fire missiles as well as use a sword. Women, on the other hand, are less armored, but more agile, and wield a rifle and a sword.

No matter what character you choose you’re able to dash to avoid taking damage, juggle enemies in the air, and finish them with special moves. You can also develop new weapons and upgrade your character’s skills as you progress. Look for more updates on Earth Wars on its website.
