WildStar Adds New Realms To Cope With Player Overload

Recommended Videos

Developer Carbine has been overwhelmed by player demand after launching the free-to-play version of WildStar. Players haven’t been able to login or have had to wait in long queues before trying. And when they do get into the game they’ll often find that it’s laggy and buggy.

Carbine has acknowledged these issues and has outlined its plans to deal with them. Writing on October 1st, Carbine says that “in the next 24 hours, we’ll be adding new hardware that will enable us to open up four realms across the United States and Europe. Adding these realms will significantly increase the amount of players who can get into WildStar.”

Another way that Carbine seemingly attempted to deal with the server overload is to remove the region locking. There’s still no cross-play between regions but this means you can choose to play in a North American or European server at launch.
