Microsoft has offered up a deal on Steins;Gate season one, the anime series inspired by the 5pb. and Nitroplus visual novel. People who visit the store page can get a digital copy of the entire first season for free after logging in to their account. You must redeem the offer through the button at the top of the page, however, as individual episodes still cost $1.99 and the second season still costs $16.99 for the standard definition and $24.99 for the high definition episodes.

Steins;Gate follows Rintaro Okabe, often called Okarin. He’s head of the Future Gadget Laboratory, a group that consists of himself and his friends, Mayuri and Daru. He calls himself a mad scientist, is convinced there’s a conspiracy being orchestrated by an organization known as SERN, and believes SERN is out to get him. When attending a press conference about time travel, he meets a woman named Kurisu and finds something unnatural really is happening.

There’s no information on how long Steins;Gate season one will be free in Microsoft’s online store. Steins;Gate is immediately available in English for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Windows PC.
