Gust released new information in this week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation on Nights of Azure 2 with details on three key characters, more on the game’s story, along with new features that we’ll see in the upcoming title. [Thanks, Zaregoto.]

Alushe Anatoria: A girl with a straightforward personality who is action before thought. She becomes a half-demon, acquires the powers to defeat demons, and fights to save Liliana.

Liliana Selphin: A girl who was chosen as the “Sculpture Bride.” She has a kind personality and doesn’t discriminate anyone, but she also shows her strong-minded side.

Louenhide Ariarod: A childhood friend of Alushe and Liliana who is holy knight belonging to an opposing organization of the Vatican. She has a hot-headed personality and some people may see her as an arrogant person, but deep down she’s quite serious.

Alushe, who is a knight of the Vatican is entrusted with the task of escorting her childhood friend, the shrine maiden Liliana. When they reach the Vatican, it becomes known that Liliana is to be sacrificed for the goddess of the moon. In the midst of the surprise and sorrow, Alushe dies in a fight against a giant demon; however, thanks to the hand of the Vatican, she is revived as a half-demon.

In Nights of Azure 2 you’ll fight together with your partner “Lily” against demons. You can freely pick your Lily, and your bond strengthens the more you fight together. As your friendship gets further, the Lily learns new abilities and intimate events occur as a result as well. Liliana and Louenhide can also fight by your side as a Lily.

Nights of Azure 2’s world is said to have a taste of dark fantasy, and it retains game systems such as Servans from the previous game, but the feeling of gameplay is said to be completely different in the upcoming title.

Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the Moon releases in Japan on December 22, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
