Pokémon Sun & Moon’s Mimikyu’s Has Its Own Song

Recommended Videos

The Pokémon Company has a habit of releasing official songs and music videos for certain Pokémon. Slowpoke starred in one in 2014, as an example, and there was a Magikarp song released this year. Now, ahead of Pokémon Sun and Moon, Mimikyu gets its own tune.

“Mimikyu’s Song” has Mimikyu introducing itself to the world. It firmly establishes that it is Mimikyu, not Pikachu, it just looks like one, and says it wants to be friends. It also notes that it knows the move 100,000 Volts, which is better known to us as Thunderbolt, and will do its best for you. The music video is made up of Pokémon Sun and Moon footage, and shows it fighting characters like Pikachu, Umbreon, Mismagius, and the Alolan form of Muk.

Pokémon Sun and Moon will come to the Nintendo 3DS on November 18, 2016 in Japan and North America. The games will come to Europe on November 23, 2016.
