Akuto: Mad World casts players as one of several colored, silly avatars, then pits them against their friends in bloody local deathmatches involving guns, swords, explosives, and environmental hazards.
A single strike is all that’s required to take out an opponent, which will happen quickly with four players and the arena all vying to kill each other. Various guns will offer different types of ranged attacks and damage, while swords can be used to eliminate any opponent that gets a little too close.
The environments are also working towards killing the players, as various subways, wrecking balls, spiked traps, and other hazard will spring up during the chaos of a match. Players will need to be attentive of their position on the map as well as what their opponents are up to should they wish to win a match. Even if they do die, though, they’ll respawn in a hurry, keeping matches from getting dull while dead players wait.
The developers are looking to add single player modes, minigames, and a level editor as the game continues to be developed.
