At the Chiyo-St. Live 2017 –Genesis- event today, Mages. had a lot to announce for fans of the Science Adventure series starting with Steins;Gate Elite, a “majorly updated” Steins;Gate with new elements. Anonymous;Code was also announced for Switch to go with the PS4 and PS Vita versions, as well as a release date for Occultic;Nine, and a message about more games headed to Steam. Here are some of the highlight announcements from the event.
The million-seller series, Steins;Gate, which also had its own anime, is getting a new version called Steins;Gate Elite, is getting a “majorly updated” version that’ll come with brand new elements. Release date, platform, and more information will be revealed on a later date.
Anonymous;Code, which tells a story about a group of hackers and their crusade, was initially announced for a 2017 release for PS4 and PS Vita. Mages. announced today that it is headed to Nintendo Switch as well. This makes it the very first Science Visual Novel title from Chiyomaru Shikura’s studio to release on a Nintendo platform. It currently doesn’t have a release date or window.
A game adaptation of the light novel series Occultic;Nine was announced back in March 2015 as a 2017 release, and the company announced that it is headed to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One in Japan on September 28, 2017. The third volume of the light novel (pictured above) releases in Summer 2017.
Robotics;Notes released as a visual novel title in June 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan, which followed by an anime later that year and an updated version on PlayStation Vita in June 2014. Mages. announced the long-awaited true sequel as Robotics;Notes DaSH. We’ll learn more details about its story and the meaning behind “DaSH” on a later date.
Chaos;Child got its iOS version in January this year, and its Android version released today in Japan. To mark the occasion, it’ll be available for 2,000 yen until June 11. Afterwards, it’ll go for 4,800 yen.
And finally, Mages. announced that more Science Adventure titles from Chiyomaru Studio will be headed to Steam. Specific titles weren’t announced, but we’ll likely hear something in the near future.
