Classic beat ‘em up inspired Fight’N Rage (previously called Fight Against the Revenge of the Mutants) will have players using an array of brawlers against mutant enemies. However, as players progress, they can unlock many of those same foes as playable characters, giving them a large stable of fighters to choose from.
Fight’N Rage isn’t interested in character growth or experience systems, offering players all of their moves from the beginning using a three-button control style. With this, players will have to defeat every enemy in the game, as their character will not gain any more health or attacks over time. Three players can tackle the game at a time in local co-op to make this easier, but they can also opt to turn on Friendly Fire in order to make it even harder.
Players will be gaining coins as they play based on their score, though, and those can be used to open up the game’s many unlockables. Extra costumes, color schemes, game modes, play speeds, and enemy characters can be opened up to play with, giving players many incentives to keep tackling the game. If unlockables aren’t enough of an incentive, players can also make decisions that will alter the ending, and who they play as will also change the game’s conclusion.
For the truly skilled, Fight’N Rage features some exceedingly difficult modes and challenges. These won’t offer any additional unlocks, but will serve to test those who wish to feel the hardest hits the game has to offer.
Fight’N Rage is available now on Steam.
