See What It Is Like To Use The Power Of Light In thatgamecompany’s Sky

Recommended Videos

Back in September 2017, it was revealed that thatgamecompany was working on Sky, a new multiplayer experience where people will fly through the sky with one another. Now, six minutes of in-progress footage has been released to show how people get their start in the game and eventually take flight.  (Thanks, IGN!)

The Sky footage starts at the very beginning and features narration from thatgamecompany’s Jenova Chen. Players begin as a a Child of Shadow who is all alone on the shore. However, as the player rises up and looks for others, they come across a pillar that restores light to the player. This changes the character’s appearance. They then can use new abilities, with one shown in the game being the ability to spread light to do things like light candles.

Sky is in development for Apple iOS devices. There is no solid release date, though it is apparently “coming soon.”
