Warriors Orochi 4 has a new “Divine Action” system that features elements that let heroes go into “Deification Mode,” which basically allows them to wield the power of gods.
Koei Tecmo shared new screenshots with a look at Sanada Yukimura and Zhao Yun in their Deification forms:

The Deification mode won’t be available right away, as it becomes available for key characters after advancing past a certain part of the story and meeting certain battle conditions. When in this mode it changes their appearances and gives them a massive power-up.
Last we heard, Koei Tecmo was considering a two-player local multiplayer with Joy-Cons on Switch, but it has now been confirmed for the game.
Warriors Orochi 4 releases in Japan on September 27, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and a PC release on October 16. The game releases in the West in 2018. You can check out its first trailer and gameplay footage in our previous report.
