Kingdom Hearts Unchained X[chi] Announced For Smartphones

Recommended Videos

Square Enix announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine that they’re developing a smartphone version of the Japan-only browser title, Kingdom Hearts X [chi]. (Thanks, Game Jouhou)

In Kingdom Hearts X[chi] you play as a Keyblade wielder during the Great Keyblade War, with parts of the story that weaves Kingdom Hearts III. The upcoming smartphone version, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X[chi], will be based off the browser game, except renewed for smartphone.

Unchained X[chi] will have a new system for the smartphone version, and Square Enix are currently preparing new story mechanics for it, too. While the browser version of the game has only released in Japan, perhaps the West will now get a better chance of getting the game on smartphone.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained X[chi] will release in Japan sometime in 2015 for Android and iPhone.
