Puzzle and Dragons has a new collaboration featuring characters from the popular manga and anime series Rurouni Kenshin. The event begins on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 1:00 a.m. PT (3:00 a.m. ET) and concludes on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 12:59 a.m. PT (3:59 a.m. ET).
The collaboration is inspired by the series’ Kyoto Arc, in which Shishio Makoto attempts to overthrow the Meiji government. Sawagejo Cho, Yukyuzan Anji, Uonuma Usui, and Sadojima Hoj are four of Shishio’s strongest warriors from the Juppongatana awaiting the player in a new dungeon. The battles can be played on one of five difficulty settings: Intermediate, Expert, Master, Legendary, and Mythical.
Although Kenshin struggles to defeat Shishio while staying true to his promise to never kill again, he has many friends and allies that can come to his aid. In addition to Kenshin, players can recruit Sagara Sanosuke, Saito Hajime, Shinomori Aoshi, Seta Sojiro, Takani Megumi, Kamiya Kaoru, Myojin Yahiko, Makimachi Misao, and Honjo Kamatari to battle using the Rurouni Kenshin Collab Egg Machine.
