Cuphead is going to conquer another platform. Studio MDHR revealed The Cuphead Show on Twitter today. This is a Cuphead cartoon starring the main character and his brother, Mugman. It will be a Netflix original series for people of all ages. There is no release date for it yet.
IGN revealed additional details about Netflix’s Cuphead cartoon. Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, the founders of Studio MDHR, will be acting as executive producers. CJ Kettler, the Executive Producer of the 2019 Carmen Sandiego series, Bucky O’Hare and the Toad Wars, and the 1994 The Tick series, will also be an executive producer. Dave Wasson, who worked on Space Jam and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, is an executive producer. Co-Executive Producer Cosmo Segurson previously worked on Camp Lazlo. Clay Morrow, who worked on Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Camp Lazlo, and Chowder, will be a supervising director. The other supervising director will be Adam Paloian, who worked on SpongeBob Squarepants.
The Cuphead Show will have an entirely original storyline. It will follow the brothers as they experience life on the Inkwell Isles. It will feature the same 1930’s, hand-drawn style as the game.
Cuphead is immediately available for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. The Cuphead Show is in development for Netflix.
