With 32 confirmed series, The 3rd Super Robot Taisen Z will offer players plenty of mobile suits and mecha to choose from. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine shares some details on new and upgraded battle systems in the upcoming tactical RPG.

In The 3rd Super Robot Taisen Z, the Maximum Break will allow your sub-unit to use any weapon for a cooperative attack. Using it will also allow the attack to go beyond the weapon’s range, to go with x1.2 of extra damage. Additionally, it’ll nullify any of your opponent’s counters, defense, and shields. Maximum Break can be used to combine two single-target attacks, or two all-target attacks; however, you’ll need to max out your Tag Tension meter before using it, which will also make it go down to zero upon use.

The D-Trader feature is where you’ll be using Z-Chips acquired by defeating enemies to purchase parts. In order to have the parts and system upgrades available for purchase, you’ll be required to meet certain conditions in order to unlock them.

The Trader scenario will have Ace Pilot events called the Ace Talk. More details on the events will be available on a later update. Meanwhile, you can check out a bunch of screenshots in our earlier report.

The 3rd Super Robot Taisen Z will be taking off on April 10, 2014 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
